Tilton Cleaning & Restoration

I purchased a Big Deal for cleaning one rug. Owner Mike Tilton personally fields calls, make arrangements for pick-up and drop-off of rugs and does the pick-up and drop-off. He is knowledgeable about the cleaning process and cares so much about the results that when the wool Native American rug I gave him to clean proved to be a potential "bleeder," he did what he could to remove stains without wrecking the rug, returned it and explained the situation. He then offered to clean ANOTHER rug for free, just to be sure I was satisfied with their work. Off he went with the 4' x 6' Oriental rug passed down from my great grandmother to me, and returned it a few days later, looking spiffy. I highly recommend this company.

We received immediate pick up by a friendly individual who helped us roll up the carpets, return of the carpets as promised within two weeks, again friendly assistance in replacing the carpets, and, of greatest importance the cleaning that was done was excellent. In addition, they made a temporary repair of one of the carpets without being asked and at no charge. We were extremely pleased!

Tilton Cleaning did a great job. They followed up my phone call promptly. Worked out the details of the work, and answered all of my questions over email. Arrived on time, and completed the work quickly. The tiles and carpet looked awesome. Well worth the money, and would definitely use them again.

The owner was really prompt in returning calls, picking up on time and dropping off first thing in the morning on the day agreed upon. Very professional; we talked about the work that was done. Rugs were very clean after. What a relief!! Reasonably priced and pickup/drop off at no extra charge.

I left Mr. Tilton a phone message on a Saturday, 1/19. He called back within an hour. Set up an appointment to pick up our rugs on Monday. 1/21 at 8:30 AM. He was right on time, very professional and extremely pleasant. He tied up our rugs, loaded them into his SUV. They were returned that next Friday (5 days). He did an excellent job, our rugs are beautiful. We kept his number and plan to use him again in the future.

As detailed above the job went smoothly and the completed rugs and carpets looked great.

Mike emailed to set up a convenient pick-up day & time...he arrived as scheduled..,,advised that rugs would be returned within 7-10 days....he called a week later to schedule convenient drop off time...once again, arrived on time and delivered clean, well bundled rugs...very pleasant experience.

Fantastic service. Mike picked up the rug and answered all questions relating to the cleaning and expected results (Persian silk rug with tea-stain over the vegetable dyes). He was on-time, professional, and personable. Rug looks fantastic - the colors are back to their original richness. Would definitely recommend to friends & family.

Tilton Cleaning came and cleaned my kitchen tiles and grout today and they have NEVER looked better. No matter how I cleaned my floor it doesn't come clean (textured tiles). I bought one of the Angie's Deals on Monday or Tuesday and they were here on Thursday. They were running ahead of scheduled, called to see if it was ok to come early, and were in and out within an hour. Oh, did I mention how great the floor looks?? I don't even want to put my table and chairs back in the kitchen! Now if I could just be sure that the kids and dogs stay out I'll be all set!

Came to clean grout but did a good job also cleaning the dirt out of marble.

I used an Angie's Big Deal to purchase $300 worth of rug cleaning. My house was being renovated, so my rug was taken off site to be cleaned. It was then returned (after a call to check on why it had not arrived already), and he helped lay it out and get it arranged in the right place.

Everything went fine and as expected and promised.

*&@! cats urinated on a large old oriental in our dining room. We tried everything to remove the stains and smell on our own, but couldn't. And thus the cats kept doing it again. Saw an Angies List coupon for Tilton Cleaning & Restoration and decided to let them try to do what I couldn't. Michael Tilton returned my call the same day, and cautioned me that often pet odor can't be completely removed. On his advice I soaked the stained portion of the rug for a day or two with some stuff from Petco before he picked it. When returned it looked beautiful and had a slight smell but it was a different one. Returned the rug to our dining room and closed the doors. No one (or pet) allowed there for three weeks. Guess what: the new smell had vanished and no more pet odor. We still keep the doors closed to keep the cats out, but we can use the dining room again. Thanks Michael!

Mike was friendly and professional. It was easy to schedule pick-up and drop-off. Both the oriental rug (a family heirloom) and the store bought rug look beautfiul, clean, and rich in color now. I highly recommend this company.

After aquiring 3 quality oriental rugs that had been in the family for several generations I was concerned about cleaning and storing them properly. Tilton was the exact answer for my need. His prompt and knowledgable advice was assurance to me that our family's heirlooms could be cleaned and stored without harm to their quality so that future generations could continue in enjoying the rugs. Matt arrived right in the middle of the two hour arrival window. He explained the procedure, measured the space, gave the price, and answered all our questions about individual rugs, care of furniture, and 24 hour drying time. Matt listened carefully, and responded clearly to our questions. He backed his van into our driveway, and used clean water from his truck. He vacuumed the dirty water into another tank in his truck. He pre-sprayed and vacuumed three rooms and the stairs in an hour and a half. He removed all the spots on the rugs, and the rug color is now clean and bright looking. He smoothed out all the uneven places on the stairs. All four rugs look like new. I will definitely used this company in the future.

The stain was not completely removed but that may have been to delayed pre-treatment. I was very pleased with the service, the professionalism and the cost and I'd use them again.

I had an old, oriental-style rug that needed cleaning, in order to be donated to my church, and I purchased a $99 big deal from Angie's List. The people from Tilton cleaning were very pleasant to deal with. They picked up the rug and delivered it back in about a week. I have not unrolled it yet, but I assume it is well cleaned. Overall, I had a very good experience dealing with Tilton Cleaning Regarding the question below (address where the work was performed): I don't know. The rug was picked up from my home address, and delivered back there. The work was done at their cleaning location.

We had a Angie's List coupon which gave us the opportunity to try out Tilton Cleaning. They did an excellent job cleaning two of our Oriental rugs. They picked them up and Mike, the owner, returned them in about a week, in time for the holidays. Mike also took the time to explain the tea wash finish on one of the rugs, which caused the background browns to vary throughout the rug. We were very pleased and will be using them for other rug and upholstery cleaning jobs in the future.
