Provider was pleasant and did an excellent job cleaning my carpets.

Everything went well. They did a good job.

Mike was very responsive and sent someone out the same day for service. He cleaned the rug and treated the area for spots. Mike followed up via email to find out if the spots came which unfortunately not all of them did.. He is planning to send someone out again to work on the area.

The entire process was straight forward, and as promised. The owner called me back very quickly, and arranged a time and date. He gave me a window of time he would arrive, and arrived promptly at the start of the window. It is clear he knows his business, and was prompt, courteous, and efficient, but not rushed. He answered many questions, and was pleasant throughout. We decided to clean the rugs on site, as that was a less expensive option, and he felt the rugs could be cleaned in this manner. I would not hesitate to either recommend or use his services again. I was very impressed. He did a great job.

This is the second time I've used Tilton to clean my oriental rugs and both times I used a $99 "Big Deal". Very soon after I purchased the Big Deal this time, I received an e-mail from Tilton to schedule the pick-up of the rugs. Scheduling was easy and prompt. The worker arrived on time, rolled up my rugs in about 5-10 minutes and took them to be cleaned. I had to call after about 2 weeks to inquire whether they were finished (they were or would be soon, I don't remember exactly). We scheduled drop-off and again, the worker arrived promptly and rolled out the clean rugs in their places, and helped me move a coffee table back onto one of the rugs. This was a good deal, it was easy to get the job done, and I would hire Tilton again.

Mike was very responsive and patient as i was trying to schedule around my travel. he arrived on time and was very clear on what he was going to do. he walked me through the process and the equipment, as well as the expected results. my tile and grout is gray, and he indicated he wasn't sure if the cleaning would have a noticeable difference - every tile job reacts differently. the tile was layed about 5 years ago and this was the first time it was cleaned. after going through the process the grout is somewhat better, but there are still some discolored areas. by no means do i blame Mike. Should have been more on top of this beforehand. will start a more maintenance now and hopefully will continue to improve over time.

Mike Tilton was a nice guy, genuinely tries to please customers, but I wasn't very completely happy with the results. I don't like writing critical reviews and was going to skip this one, but Angies List keeps reminding me that I haven't reviewed this. So here goes... We had two area rugs, one was a wool pile oriental (~7x9), the other flat weave wool oriental (~10x13), both high quality rugs bought at a well known oriental rug store in Newton. The cleaning is done at his shop. He picked them up and returned the following week or so. When he returned, I checked out both rugs. The smaller one was cleaned well, including the white fringe that was quite worn looked bright and clean. The larger one had some problems as it appeared it had shrunk slightly (the rug pad was showing). He offered to steam it and stretch it, which I helped with holding the rug, and that did help. But I will not clean that rug again -- it was very upsetting to see it shrink at all. They use steam when cleaning and it must have gotten too wet or too hot and when dried, it shrunk. While he was there I asked him to clean the carpet on the stairs and the upstairs hall. The issue I had with this cleaning was that at the top of the stairs, right after he was done, there appeared bright blue line that was about an inch from the wall running parallel to the wall. It was quite striking and not there before. Mr. Tilton said there must have been something in my rug to make that reaction but it was where the edge of his machine was rolling, and I had never seen anything like that before ever. We don't bring any food or drink upstairs, and no chemicals. It was not a drippy mark, it was a solid straight line. There were no spots in the carpet before. So, although he did not intentionally make that mark, it clearly was caused by the cleaning. I've had the carpets cleaned in the past with no problems. I can't explain what happened but since it happened under Mr. Tilton's watch, I fault him. There is no other explanation. He tried to clean the marks but they did not budge. Mike is an honest man and tried to fix the problems in the oriental rug and in the mark on the carpet. He did not agree with me that he caused the blue line. I thought it was unprofessional not to take responsibility, and to lay blame on me.

It went very well! I was very pleased with this service and will call them again. It was easy to schedule, he came on time, cleaned very well, was extremely nice and pleasant, and did way and beyond expectations. And all for a reasonable price. I will definitely call this service again!

It was fine. We had to have them come back to clean some spots that they missed. They didn’t give us any hassle about coming back; it was just a surprise that we had to have them back at all.

The young man was on time, was professional, explained the procedure and completed the job in the alloted time. He was very careful and set up and removed all his equipment neatly. The furniture looks wonderful, there were a few spots which were successfully removed and the pieces look like new. I couldn't be happier.

Job was scheduled quickly and communication was maintained throughout, including slight change in arrival time. Excellent job by Matt. The total area was somewhat more than the maximum allowed by the $99 three room special, which led to the very reasonable $143 total cost.

Very high quality - and friendly customized service. Would use them again, no questions asked! The cleaning was outstanding, got out red wine stains on a beige rug. AND - this is important to me - there wasn't any residual chemical cleaning smell. Pick up and drop off right at scheduled times. Thank you!

They did an okay job and I am satisfied with it. They sent one person out to do the job. The worker was very professional and friendly. They did an average job and I did not see a huge improvement.

They were quick to respond. Top quality of work did a great job. They also removed some tough stains. They stand by their work.

My confirmation of appointment was never logged, so service was not performed on the date it was expected. However, Mike was determined to make up for it and made himself available for the next day. The carpets looked great. I would highly recommend him.

He was very quick in responding after my purchase to me scheduled, but after he found out my address for service, he does not service this area. He informed me how to request a refund.

I've used them for like 15 years. They are just nice and normal people who do a good job. They are dependable and get 90% of any spots out. They come when they say they are going to come.

Excellent service - prompt, professional, courteous. They came and got the rugs, cleaned them, and put them back in place. Couldn't ask for better!

Things went very well. Our carpeting is about 10 years old and they are an off-white, wool berber. Ok, maybe not the best choice when we had 3 kids under 7 yo at the time of installation - but they look nice. Over the years we've maintained them with periodic cleaning for maintenance as well as when there are accidents. Tilton got marks out of our carpets that no other providers have been able to remove. We've tried several others cleaning companies over the years who came highly recommended from friends, and we ended up with little to no improvement. The other providers have used traditional cleaning methods and we've also tried "dry" methods. None worked. This was our first time using Tilton and I'm happy to say they were able to remove nearly all of the "stains" in our carpets and furniture, with only a couple of exceptions. We will use Tilton again.

All went well. Carpets were cleaned, service provided was courteous and efficient.

Wonderful experience. Liked that they came and picked the rug up from me.
