Description of Work: We had one large oriental rug and two smaller runners cleaned. Mike Tilton was very responsive and polite. The rugs are back and look great. Mike was also able to return our cleaned rugs a week later and before I left for work at 7:30am. Mike was on crutches but still very active. I respect that!

Description of Work: I thought they were terrible. They were amateurs. They were ill equipped. They picked up a rug to clean it, but then they were unable to lay the rugs back done. I feel rug companies should have people to lay the rugs down. They scratched the floor with my furniture. They threw brand new mattresses on the group. He was a very nice guy, but very much an amateur. It was an emergency and I needed extreme cleaning throughout my home. The insurance company recommended them. My upholstery didn’t get clean. His equipment was even duct taped together. I would recommend under any circumstances.

Member, I am very sorry that you feel that way and I want you to know it may not have seemed that way to you, but we did our very best to work with the restoration company to clean your entire home and remove the soot damage from all your furnishings. We have been working with this particular restoration company that has us clean delicate upholstery and oriental rugs for them for over 10 years now and we are experienced in working in fire/soot damage homes since 1985. We did the very best we could in cleaning your upholstery and rugs. We can't always get all the stains out because in time stains can actually dye the fabric but we surely removed all the soot that covered the upholstery. And yes you had some very large rugs which we removed from your home for cleaning. To get them out we had to move lots of furniture to get them out of some tight spaces. We quite often work with the restoration crew to move large pieces of furniture and to replace rugs back in place as was the case in your home. Duct tape connections are normal when we have to add extra hose to reach the areas we clean as was the case with your home being so far from the driveway. Hoses are connected with couplings and are secured with duct tape to provide a solid seal. Sincerely yours, Michael Tilton
