Description of Work: This company called twice to confirm their appointment. They showed up on time. They had given me a quoted price on the phone. When they got here they told my wife that one of the chimnies had a dual outlet so the cost would be hire. While their service was very good and they were nice to deal with I think their price could have been better.

Description of Work: Nick and Ron were the employees that came to my home. They were very professional and friendly. They explained there work clearly and seemed very knowledgeable. The work that was done was a furnace and flu cleaning , reset damper and capped the chimney.

Description of Work: THE TECHNICIAN, NICK, ARRIVED ON TIME. ASSESSED 2 FLUE CHIMNEYS (FIRE PLACE + HOT WATER VENT), AND RECOMMENDED CLEANING THE HOT WATER FLUE, WHICH WAS DONE ON SAME DAY. I HAD BEEN NOTICING THAT THE TOPS OF THE CHIMNEY FLUE WERE CRUMBLING AND WANTED TO KNOW WHY. TECHNICIAN NOTED THAT FLUE TILES WERE INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN, WHICH WAS MAKING THEM SUSCEPTIBLE TO SNOW/ICE DAMAGE. HE RECOMMENDED A CHIMNEY CAP ($450 + TAX FOR 17X29) TO REDUCE FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE TILES. I THINK THIS WAS AN HONEST ASSESSMENT, AS HE COULD HAVE SUGGESTED A MORE DRAMATIC (AND EXPENSIVE) REPAIR ON THE TILES. SINCE THE CAP WAS NOT A STANDARD SIZE, HE DIDN'T HAVE THE CAP THAT DAY, SO WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE FOR A FEW WEEKS OUT. TECHNICIAN ALSO RECOMMENDED A CHIMNEY LINER ($1720 + TAX, INCLUDING CHIMNEY CAP) AND SHOWED ME THAT THE WATER HEATER WASN'T VENTING IDEALLY. LINERS SEEMED TO BE A STANDARD PITCH, AND HE NOTED IT WAS A VERY GOOD IDEA, BUT NOT AN URGENT REQUIREMENT.
