Description of Work: They did a repair to my chimney. Thought they were expensive

Description of Work: The service was offered at $565 minus $100 with the credit. My family found this much too expensive for a single fireplace/chimney cleaning.

Description of Work: INSTALLED A NEW CUSTOM SIZED CHIMNEY CAP. |THE INSTALLER WAS VERY GOOD, AND DID THE JOB IN REASONABLE TIME. I WAS A BIT SURPRISED THAT ONLY ONE MAN CAME, WHERE IT WAS HIGH LADDER AND ROOF WORK, I HAD ASSUMED THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GROUND MAN. PERSONALLY, I WOULD NEVER WORK A 40 FOOT HIGH ROOF WITHOUT ANOTHER PERSON. BUT HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND HE WAS OBVIOUSLY CAPABLE OF STANDING A TALL LADDER, AND TAKING IT DOWN SOLO.

Description of Work: Sean was professional, pleasant, honest, and efficient. After being told we needed thousands of dollars worth of work on our fireplace by other service providers, he cleaned and inspected the chimney and said it looked fine, we should just try it. And he was right! He also saved the day: We were moving into our new house on a busy street and he helped the moving truck get under the cables into our driveway. Very highly recommended!

They thoroughly explained everything to me- prior to their arrival, I spoke at length with the business owner, detailing my experiences and concerns, which he kindly took the time to thoroughly address - I had contacted many other chimney sweep companies, and the price for Master Chimney was the most expensive- however I feel like the expression " you get what you pay for" is certainly applicable in this situation, as the company went above and beyond my expectations- they spent a long time working and did a truly excellent job cleaning and inspecting the chimney and provided a detailed explanation of the work done and of their future recommendations -

Description of Work: Said the chimney is flaking & crumbling so can't sweep it. Offered $1700 estimate for aluminum liner. I do not have that kind of money, so no.

Description of Work: My damper on the chimney was out of place not technically broken but i couldn't get it back in place. They tried to talk me through it on the phine but that did not work. they said they were booked up but would try tonfit me in on Monday, which they did. the young man who came was competent, professional, prompt and explained the problem and also told me that the damper did not shut fully even when properly closed and discussed some alternative to fix that problem Overall, more than value for price.

Description of Work: We had used this company for several years but haven't in the past few years due to costs. I scheduled their services again out of convenience because I had received a discount card in the mail and then a follow-up phone call. The technician, Mark, is awesome. Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. He left everything immaculate. The reason for the less than perfect overall rating is the price. The discounted cost for fireplace cleaning was $359 and an additional cost for cleaning our gas flue was $199. (I had just had this serviced in the spring). $500 for 1 hour's service with no rebuilding, parts replaced, etc. seems pretty high to me. Granted, I am no expert so am completely at the mercy of the company. But other companies I have used in the past have cost considerably less.

Description of Work: We bought the Angie's list deal for a flue cleaning for $129. Gordy was our technician and although he was a bit late for the appointment he called to let me know so it was no problem. He was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Master Chimney Sweepers.

Description of Work: They cleaned three chimney openings. The service person was very neat and |professional as always. We have had them take care of our chimneys for years |as we use a wood burning stove in addition to an oil burning furnace. |We already have an appointment with them for next year at this year's price.

Description of Work: They supposed to clean the chimney from the fireplace that I never used and the exhaust pipe up to to the roof. I didn't know that I don't have the exhaust pipe from the duct , but they charged the full price. Nice cleaning for the fireplace chimney and good recommendation for the cap. However, it was not worth the money I paid.
