Description of Work: Cleaned chimney flu used for woodstove. Vacuumed out creosote from chimney flue and woodstove. Inspected chimney exterior and made recommendations for exterior chimney crown maintenance in Spring. Level 1 Inspection completed. Quite happy with work done.

Description of Work: The worker was professional, and reported all concerns immediately as well as recommendations. The only recommendation I have is for Angie's list that those who are purchasing the coupons will recognize that the cost of the services are many tomes double and triple the coupon price. So be prepared the projects can be very costly and there is are time constraints for using the coupons. So be prepared financially to pay or do it purchase the coupons.

Description of Work: I researched the company and their ad and website said they serviced the South Shore. I bought the big deal $50.00 for $100.00 credit toward a chimney sweep. I called the company to schedule and they informed me they do not service the South Shore. Waste of my time.

Description of Work: MCS (Mark) cleaned 2 flues - one woodburning fireplace and one oil-fired furnace, both 2 stories. Fireplace flue needed it pretty badly, furnace flue less so, but I told Mark to go ahead and get it over with. Work appeared to be done thoroughly and professionally, and he left absolutely no mess. May not have been the cheapest price I might have found, but I was happy with the work performed

Description of Work: Purchased Oct 13, $50 for a $100 credit. First available apt was for end of Nov. They resched. to 12/7 between 1 and 4. Called at 8:15 and said they could be there between 9 and 10. Arrived 8:45. Very polite but only able clean out the fireplace. Recommended further level 3 inspection and replacement of chase cover and possible B Vent. I asked about converting to gas and was told I would need to call a plumber. I asked about how to stop drafts around the fireplace and told I need to call a contractor. I feel this is very expensive for service performed.

Description of Work: Bought a coupon for a chimney sweep. The service guy that came was professional and seemed knowledgable. He also went up on the roof to inspect the chimney, noting that our chimney "cap" wasn't really capping anything (it was wide open). He was able to quote me a price on a cap installation. I was pleased with the sweep service, so I have scheduled an appointment for them to install the cap. Would (and will) use again.

Nick's work, service and recommendations provided us with great insight as to what we need to do now and in the future to ensure we have a properly working chimney. We appreciated his insight and it was great that he was able to provide us with the history of our chimney.
