Master Chimney Sweepers

Very good and told us some ways to maximize the use of the fireplace.

They were good. They came on time and cleaned up after themselves. They found cracks in the tile lining and recommended lining both flues which turned out not being necessary. We hired another company to combine both flues to one which ended up being more economical. I will be using a different company from now on.

They called us, as we had used them in the past. They were persistent in calling and respectful when I wasnt able to respond on their first call. The technician was prompt in arriving.

The worker was very very good. He was on time. He did a great job and was sure to clean up after himself. I have more then 1 flute and he was sure to clean them all. He also made sure not to track dirt throughout my house. I was very satisfied with his work.

They came, gave us the estimate and they installed the insert. We did want a particular brand and they got it in for us. They were very professional and they were very good.

They showed when they said they would. They did a good job of cleaning up. They were knowledgeable. They did not try to sell me more than what I wanted them to do.

They were knowledgeable, very nice and thorough. He told me what I would need in the future, but was not pushy. It was a higher quote than another company but the other company did not come out and do the work.

A rep from the company returned my call and told me that I didn't need any work done. He said he did not need to come to my house. He explained that I did not really need a liner in my furnace flue since it was an oil-burning flue, that was only really necessary for gas burners. That went against everything I'd been told by others. I can't recall the rest of the 10-minute conversation we had, but I could not believe this company would tell me everything was fine without looking at it. He said I should just get the fireplace flue cleaned. He told me to go ahead and light fires in the fireplace, I'd be fine. I took it all in and hung up, then realized this was ridiculous advice for someone to tell me without an on-premise evaluation. I later learned that the fireplace was improperly built 50+ years ago, was never mortared in some areas and was a fire hazard alone. I am getting the boiler flue relined by another company. I do not see how fumes and airborne combustion waste seeping through cracks in my old crumbled flue liner, ash pit and chimney wouldn't pose a problem.

It was a VERY hot day and the guys did a great job of cleaning the upstairs fireplace (which is just an exhaust for the pellet stove) and cleaning the other wood stove chimney which was really bad because the previous owners of my house had burned a lot of trash in it. They also put a cap on the old (now unused) opening for the oil furnace - which had been "capped" with a foil pie plate and duct tape.

They put a tarp down on the carpet to walk on while doing the fireplace so they didn't track soot all over. They used a vacuum to keep it from flying all over the house.

It went well, Gerald and his partner arrived punctually and did a thorough job.

Excellent. They came at the time I expected, we discussed the job, I went to work, we stayed connected by phone and when I came home, everything was done and the future work suggestion was on the kitchen counter.

This company does a very fine job of cleaning the chimney. They are helpful because if they see something wrong they will fix it or suggest that I get someone to fix it. They are reasonably priced. I think they are a very good organization.

Excellent. They did the work quickly and brought it up to code, and removed an unnecessary draft inducer. They were very professional. We liked that they are certified, which gives us confidence that they are required to follow code and best practices.

I appreciated very much that he didn't do any work that didn't need to be done. He seemed very thorough and honest. He only charged me for the inspection of the two chimneys.

The experience was very good. Doug helped me. He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. He was fair and reasonable in the types of work he recommended which helped me feel comfortable to move forward with the work the he suggested. Master chimney seems to be a little expensive but I feel confident in the quality of work being performed.

Left two calls .. never heard back.. not good.

Received a phone call on the morning of the appointment that they would be arriving at the end of the window of time I was given. The 2 guys arrived promptly. While the first started sweeping out the fireplace chimney, the second took a look at the basement where it was discovered that both the gas and water heater vents need to be swept out. I had been informed that the first vent or chimney would be $259 and any additional vents would be $159. Gerald confirmed that I was okay with the additional vents being swept and what the cost would be before proceeding. Both areas were cleaned up and clear of any vent debris before Master Chimney Sweepers left. I paid immediately with a credit card.

They were excellent. I thought they were very prompt and courteous. They came when they said they would. They left my home very clean. They did a written inspection.

The company was very responsive in returning my calls. The servicemen showed up an hour later than the scheduled window of time we were given. When we called to find out why they had not arrived, we were told the servicemen were supposed to call us to alert us. When the men arrived at our house an hour later than the scheduled timeframe, they told us that the office should have called to inform us of the delay. The men were very professional and did advise us that we only needed one flue cleaned as the other was clean and in good repair. They cleaned the one flue. There was also confusion about method of payment (because they were so late in arriving, the office was closed and could not accept our credit card for processing).

Excellent. He showed up on time, performed the work quickly and efficiently, gave me some advice on maintenance and safety, and gave me suggestions on adding a wood stove insert (without any sort of sales pitch). Informative, friendly, and quick. Will absolutely use again.

Jake called 1/2 hour before he arrived and was punctual. He explained what he was going to do and approximately how long it would take. He spread a cloth over the area where he was working and left absolutely no residue in my home. He was professional, efficient and pleasant.

He was excellent. The cleaning price was very reasonable. He was here on time, and cleaned up very well after the work was done.

They were ok on being responsive. They were very friendly. It was nice that they did an assessment first before they decided what needed to be done, so that way we wouldn't end up spending more money for extra work that didn't need to be performed.

The technician inspected the chimney flues, and determined that they didn't need to be cleaned. He measured the chimney and had an appropriate cap with him, which he installed. Everything went very smoothly.
