Master Chimney Sweepers

I’ve been using them for years and they’ve always done an excellent job. They are always fine and they come out every year. They are responsive. They are prompt. They explain what they find. I just think that they are reliable. They come when they say they are going to come. I will use their services again in the future.

The call me every spring and we set up an appointment. I wasn?t here when they came but it is fine as far as I know. They come every year and they replaced a chimney cap for me a few years ago. I like that they remind me, I don?t think they are super pushy, they come when they are supposed to, and they are doing a good job as far as I know. They are recommended a steal tube for my chimney instead of replacing the bricks and mortar, and the price seems high to me. I don?t know anything about chimneys so I am planning on making some calls before I decide on anything.

I like that they give me a call to set up an appointment and arrive on time when they said they would. They are quick and tidy and they clean up really well. They have in the past installed a flew liner and that has worked out very well.

He inspected both chimney's when he got here and started in on cleaning right away. It took about 1 1/2 hours for him to clean both chimneys.

The installation took place when they said it would. The installers also said there was no need of repair of the chimney flue and fireplace wall , a repair that another company had said was necessary.

They were really good. Also they were very honest. We have 2 chimneys, and they could have charged us for both, but they told us that one of them did not need to be swept.

They were great. They cleaned three different chimneys. They were clean, on time, and overall did a great job. The price was a little higher because of the season that I did it in. I was happy with the price, but I know it can be cheaper if I do it in the spring. They were very professional too.

We really liked them. They were really nice and came out at a moment's notice.

Company rectified complaint and issued credit

Jeff the sweep arrived well within the 2 hour window given and set to work quickly on evaluating my two fireplaces and chimneys of unknown status and reported that both were in good condition and that cleaning would not be required. I was informed why one of the chimney's we'd had a problem with did not create a sufficient draft and what could be done about it. The oil furnace flu was then cleaned quickly and effciently without any mess. Overall I was very satisfied by with work carried out and the level of professionalism.

I have used them every year for the past five years now and they do a great job. They are professional. They alert me about work that needs to be done but do not pressure me about it. I would highly recommend them.

The sweep arrived on time and he was very helpful and professional. Took the time to explain what he was doing and then cleaned the 3 flues after inspecting them. He was very clean and took care not to leave any mess and left the fireplaces in great shape. He also installed a chimney cap and spent several hours to make sure things were in place and explained everything very clearly. Overall a very good experience.

Each year they give me a call and remind me that it is time to have my chimney cleaned. She was very nice and informed me that during their slow season they give you a discount which is great. They have always been reliable. They send competent people who get the job done. They do a great job cleaning up, I have never had any problems. I have a really old house and they are really nice and have given me great advice.

I have used Master Chimney Sweepers in the past, and while they were fairly expensive, I was familiar with them so I scheduled an appointment to clean the flue of my woodstove AND check and replace the gaskets/seals. I got a confirmation call the morning the work was scheduled, and when I asked about the price again, I was told they don't replace gaskets! I have a baby on the way, so the gaskets were the main purpose of my call. I was told that whoever I spoke with must have misunderstood what I was asking for, however, the man I made the appointment with repeated and explained things in such a way that I know he did understand. Very disappointing.

I had them lined the chimney with stainless steal liners and completely clean the chimney. Evidently they left 2-3 feet of soot at the bottom came in to replace the bricks around the base of chimney, soot shot out in clouds everywhere and filled up the kitchen, bath and hallways! They don?t back their work up and they won?t make it right! I now have soot covering everything in my home and they won?t clean it up or take responsibility for it! They are telling me that the other company should have known there was soot there and that I should call my insurance company in regards to the situation. UPDATED REPORT: 10/13/10 The finished the bricks in the cellar and did the clean up. They made the situation good, and I am pleased with the outcome now. They really got everything cleaned up well and I will use them to clean my chimney again in the spring.

It didn't go overall - they never followed up and their price was ridiculous once I called around and compared them to other chimney sweeps.

Everything went good. The person who came to the house was supposed to do a full cleaning. He recommended that I didn't need the cleaning and saved me some money.

We've been very satisfied with them. It's wonderful. It was expensive, but worth it. No complaints. They regularly come and check our chimeny. They gave us an estimate beforehand, but it ended up a bit more expensive than we had originally thought

It turned out that the main chimney didn't need any cleaning because we don't burn that many fires and we use clean wood. The boiler flue needed a yearly clean-up. They didn't do much because it was a small job. They seemed honest. They could have told me my chimney needed to be cleaned when it didn't. I don't think I can comment on the price because I didn't get any competitive quotes. They were very responsive. They called back right away and got over here right away. They were very quick. They were right on time. They were very well-organized. The guys were very professional. Their offices were professional. I will probably be calling them again.

They were very good. The amount they charged was reasonable. The quality of work they did was excellent. I rate them high overall.

Came when they said they would. Worked hard and fast. Work professionally done.
