Master Chimney Sweepers

Called and scheduled chimney sweeping and cleaning of fireplace. Was asked how often the fireplace was used and how much wood was burned yearly. Had confirmation call with time window for arrival. Bobby showed up promptly and made certain to cover floor and keep area clean. As it hadn't been cleaned for a while there was quite a bit of debris which had lodged in the chimney which he removed. Also, he noted that the damper was stuck in open position and recommended a fix. Overall, a very good experience.

I bought 2 big deals from Master Chimney Sweepers. I bought one that was chimney cleaning and one that was for chimney cap and I did not use the chimney cap. When they came in, they came in with a super high price of what it would cost and then I got competitive prices from other companies and they were just so much less expensive. It was like night and day. They were certainly nice enough guys but I was put off by the price. They came out and they swept the chimney and they said everything was fine and then we had another problem. It wasn't cheap. Their service was great but they were very expensive. The service was good. They were a professional organization and they acted professional but their prices went through the roof.

did not have provider do the work as they were about $200 more than the other quotes (after the $100 discount). Have requested refund.

Initial call was for cleaning and chimney cap. In the process of preparation, it was discovered that the tile liner had deteriorated beyond repair and needed replacement. At initial visit, broken and remaining tiles were removed and chimney cleaned. Second visit for replacement scheduled at that time. Both times arrival was punctual, courteous, and thorough. The work went well and the area cleaned following service.

Was punctual, kept the area clean, no post clean up work. Company called day before to confirm appointment window. I had used this company last year for the same job and was impressed by their technician at the time. The company called me in the summer offering 33% off for repeat customers, so I took them up on the offer. The technician found a piece of fiber board was broken in the wood insert (stove).

Everything went well. Very professional. Good advice. Best to use them off-season to lower the price, which they themselves recommended. I will use them again.

The company called twice to confirm appointment which was set up several weeks ago, and arrived on time. Got down to business right away. I was expecting to have to clean up after the job was done, but no need. Vinny was very professional, clearly explained what he was going to do. Discussed options with me in terms of repairs without any sales pressure. Expected a so-so job, but was impressed. Highly recommend.

Mark came by and provided excellent service. He did a thorough inspection and discussed his findings and recommendations in a clear way. There was no pressure to up sell other services - just a clear explanation. Took care of both chimneys and cleaned up so you would never know he was there. Great job!

arrived promptly and did a thorough job. price was fair and the sweep advised me that I didn't have to do the wood stove chimney every year since I don't use it very much.

The chimney sweeper did a very good job he went to the roof several time he's a very friendly person he gave me some ideas on finishing my basement.

He broke part of the chimney and charged me far more that the quote. They kept changing the appointment date and time. Not good to deal with and not local. I felt HAD! and they wouldn't take a check. Needed to be a credit card then and there. Couldn't wait to get them out of our house!

Tony was prompt, courteous, & very thorough. Not only did he let us know of structural areas of concern, but he also made recommendations of improvements that could be made if we chose. He made sure to explain all of his findings, & took pictures of the areas we ourselves could not see (such as the cap of the chimney). Not only would I recommend this company to others, but I've already booked an appointment to have Tony come back & complete some of his recommended work.

Company was great to deal with ..... very quick response .... I ended up calling several times with questions and they answered all questions with patience and professionalism. They showed up on time, gave an estimate as to the cost of the work and then did it. They were nice, professional and did not leave a mess. We will be using them again

One guy came out to do the work. I would tell friends that he arrived on time. He is polite and competent. He does good work. It only took him about an hour to do the work.

Jay arrived right on time, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, quickly figured out that one section of the pipe would slide downward once unscrewed, allowing easy disconnection. Cleaned the chimney with no mess, put everything back together the way it was, answered my questions about the whole business. Took photos so there'd be a record at the office of how to proceed next time we have it cleaned. Very happy with the service, will definitely use Master Chimney Sweepers again. Thanks, Jay!

We left an e-mail through the contact form on the web site. About three days later a gentleman called inquiring about our issue. He was nice and courteous. I explained that we needed some help with selecting the right flu cap and evaluating whether our fireplace is working correctly. He said that the owner of the company would give us a call back. Never happened. That was about a week ago.

It all went quite well. On the call to set-up the appointment it was clearly explained what they would do, including a call to confirm the appointment. The technician arrived within the expected service window. He outlined what he would do, the concerns he had about what he might find (apparently using both oil and natural gas together can create issues), and how he'd do things like protect my carpeting. He did a thorough job. One note: I've been hesitant to have my chimney cleaned because I've heard too many horror stories about companies that always find a need to reline the chimney. This is not one of those companies. They were professional and limited the service (and cost) to what we needed.

This is a very professional company. Earlier this year I was approached by a chimney cleaning company, ChimCo and they came out to inspect my furnace and fireplace flu's. It was a scam! They tried to tell me that my entire furnace flu had collapsed and hat I would need to immediately replace it with a stainless insert costing around $3000 - $3,500. I researched this on line and found that there are a number of companies in the business to scam elderly and home owner. Since not many people know about their furnace flu's or how chimneys are built, its fairly easy to scare them into acting quickly. I found Master Chimney through Angies list and had a very nice telephone conversation with the owner. he was well aware of the sam and was embarrassed that people in his industry did such things. He is a true professional and I would recommend his company to anyone. The technician cam to my house yesterday and was clean, polite and explained about how he became certified and what he needs to do to maintain his certification. I was impressed.

They were able to arrive a couple of hours earlier, which was convenient for my schedule. David was on time and very honest and up front about the services he was going to perform and the cost. He cleaned the furnace stack and inspected my 2 chimneys which needed no additional work. He offered a brochure for a new exhaust pipe for the furnace, but there was no pressure to purchase, just information. Thanks Again great friendly service

The inspection went fine., We were pleased that seeing that we did not need a chimney cleaning they told us so. They gave us an estimate for the flue liner which seemed a bit high, so we checked Angie's List and found a company that was able to do it for less. Having said that we are very pleased with the service we have had from MCS and will use them again for chimney inspection and cleaning next year.
