Kevin Bouret Electrician

Kevin was brought in for an estimate for work that was recommended by the inspector as part of the home-buying process. We received the estimate and decided to engage him for the work, as he was the low bid. I spent 3 weeks trying to contact him, including calling roughly 10-15 times and leaving maybe 5+ voice messages. He did not respond until the real estate agent (who brought him in for the estimate) reached out. He sent me a short text message and said he could not do the work due to a prior commitment. After a few texts, we realized he had the wrong date for our work and agreed to do it. Fast forward to 3 days before the work was supposed to start, I text Kevin to confirm the date, and he texts me back saying he has decided to shut his business as a result of a customer defaulting on him. So as far as I know, he is no longer in business. An unfortunate situation, and I wish him the best if this is true. But in the event that he is still in business, I would certainly NOT recommend doing business with him, as that would mean he lied to me to get out of doing the work. Overall a very frustrating process, as we would have renegotiated the sale price if we'd known what the work was actually going to cost us. Wouldn't be surprised if the realtor had him do an estimate because she knew he'd be cheap, and he never had any intention of doing the work. Worth noting I gave a "D" for professionalism and not an "F" because he did text me back to let me know he would not be able to do the work.

Kevin came highly recommended by a local lighting company and he was DEFINITELY worthy of that recommendation! He arrived promptly to give me an estimate and booking date and finished the job within a week. He is super punctual, efficient in his work, professional and knowledgeable. He said the job would take 3 hours, which it did. While here, Kevin looked at and repaired a few other minor electrical issues. The recessed lights are beautiful and work perfectly. Kevin will return to do the final work as soon as I am ready. Consider hiring him. It really doesn't get any better than this!

He is very experienced. He does a great job. He is very neat and clean. His pricing is fair and reasonable. He is also very punctual. If he tells you he is going to be there, he is there.
