+ -1 moreRon is a veteran in his profession. He is pleasant and polite. He has been our go-to garage door repairman for 15+ years. He returns phone calls promptly and is able to come by within a day or two. He has never tried to oversell any services or material to us. His rates are very reasonable. I would highly recommend him for garage door and garage door opener repairs.

Description of Work: Tuned up garage door, tightened all of the hinges, replaced the rollers, replaced the rubber seal, cleaned everything up.

Description of Work: I had a broken bottom of a garage door. I thought I would need a new panel for the bottom but he suggested just putting in back together. I asked how much a new panel would be and he quoted $300. I decided to have him put it back together and that in addition to new pulleys was only $160. I didn't get any other quotes because he answered the phone and came within an hour so I went with Ron!

+ -1 moreI called and left a message and less than 15 minutes later he called me back. He was in the area and was at my house in less than an hour from my initial call. He replaced both springs and tuned up everything. I also wanted 2 new universal remotes which he programmed and he also installed a keypad outside, so I can now open the garage without having to go into the house. Great work and service!!

Description of Work: Our garaged door would not close. I called him on Tuesday, he came and fixed it on Wednesday. Extremely prompt and professional. Came and repaired it quickly. Didn't try to oversell, just did what the job required. I was very impressed. I reached out to another company that had hundreds of reviews on Angie's List, and didn't hear back from them at all. Night and day difference.

Didn't catch his name, but he apologized that he wouldn't be able to come out until Monday (I didn't even expect a call back until then!) I wasn't going to be home, but agreed to leave the garage open. Came home to an operational garage door and a reasonable bill. Outstanding!!

+ -1 moreHe did not show or return our calls - and we are repeat customers. Well we were repeat customers.
Description of Work: We have called Karron for 3 visits over the last 3 year - each time he asks incredulously if he has been to our home before. We have receipts that he installed the 3 units with the previous owners. The appointment last year , we had trouble getting all the remotes to work properly with a new car in the mix. He came and charged us $85 for 15 minutes of reprogramming. We understood his time was what we were paying for - and that must be his rate, but felt he knew our system best. Last week the system stopped in mid-action and we once again called Karron. He made an appointment for before noon on December 15. He never showed or called. When i called and left messages asking for him to let us know what was going on, he never returned call.

+ -1 moreWhen the garage door wouldn't open, we put in a call to Karron. They were there same day and assessed it as a issue with sensitivity of the back up device on the door. It was a quick and easy fix and it was done in 15 minutes.
Description of Work: We've used Karron many times and they are always prompt and friendly. This turned out to be a minor adjustment that was needed. It was done is about 15 minutes and has worked flawlessly ever since.

+ -1 moreThey were one of the top providers on Angie’s List. The person who came out was quite good, reliable, competent, very informal and prompt, and he did the job really quickly. I thought that the price was fair. He put a sticker for his services without asking, which wasn’t quite kosher, but it is an outside garage and is not a place we see all the time, and so it didn’t bother me. Everything seemed low-key and he did what he said he was going to do. He just defined the job as getting it fixed quickly - and he did that - and wasn’t trying to help me understand what was going on.
Description of Work: We used Karron Overhead Doors to repair our garage door for us.

I called and left a message. Ron called me back in a couple hours. He came the next day, a Saturday, when he said he would and simply fixed the problem.

+ -1 moreThe installer came and he did a great job. He initially thought it would take 2 days to finish but he managed to finish in 1 day. We are very pleased with the results. I would mention that he is very skilled, because I had another installer from another company give an estimate, and he was not willing to do the job because of the modifications involved. Karron Overhead Doors handled it like a pro. The only reason I gave a B on professionalism is because they did not announce their presence when they came to do the work or the estimate, but just went into the garage and started working, which my wife did not like.
Description of Work: Installed 2 garage door openers for us. Because we had non-standard doors and rails, he had to cut down the doors and rails to give room for the drive units.

Karron came and assessed the problem and told me that the circuit board was fried; he said we would not know if the eyes were also fried until we replaced the circuit board, but that they often were also damaged. He said I could get a new garage door opener for slightly more than the parts. I bought the new opener, he installed it, left an invoice and I did not have to miss any work to get this done. Very simply handled; $250 includes the garage door opener.

He came back two days later and installed it and adjusted the system so it worked perfectly. I wasn't home and he left a bill taped to the garage wall where I could see it--perfect!

Description of Work: Karron Overhead Doors was called because of an inoperative remote device. The repair man came the following day, replaced springs, rollers and other parts to make the door function properly. They also reset the cables, adjusted the tension and the door. Returned the transmitters and tightened all hinges and rollers.

+ -1 moreExcellent service. It was difficult for me to tell what had gone wrong with the door, and I feared the worst (having to replace the entire door and its assembly). The service person from Karron responded promptly to my call for service, showed up exactly when he said he would, and had the broken spring replaced within 30 minutes, for a very modest fee. This is the second time I've used Karron, and I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: We have two electric garage doors. Last night my husband came home and didn't realize that he was tracking snow in on the tires. The door wouldn't close and the motor eventually burned out. I called Karron Overhead Door today, they came today. The replaced the starting capacitor, rewired, and adjusted the door arm and limits, and tightened hinges on both doors and rollers.

Ron came out within a few hours of my call and found a number of problems. Within 1 hour he had the garage door working better than it had in years. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely use him again!
