J&E Landscape and Construction

We initially hired Jorge and his team to do a patio and walkway in our back yard. The quality of the work was just great. Jorge recommended nice materials, and the installation was done with care and considerable artistry. They also graded some of the yard after a construction project, spread some loam and seeded a new lawn. The outcome was excellent. We were going to wait until spring to replace our front yard stairs, retaining wall and walkways, but when Jorge said they would be able to get to it this fall we decided to ask him to do that work too. It was a bigger job than the first, but the results are also very, very nice. What I especially like about Jorge is how willing he is to listen to concerns and quickly address them.

I waited two weeks, and received no phone call from this company to schedule.

Great process all around. Purchased 4 hours of landscape/yard work for $99 off of Angie's List. Jorge was immediately responsive when I called his cell number. We text'd a couple of times about the type of work I wanted to have completed and he told me that he would get me on his schedule the following week. He text'd me the night before to let me know he was coming to the house. He brought 2 other members of his team to trim the shrubs around my house as well as weed all of the plant beds. I was really impressed with Jorge and his team and would recommend J&E Landscape to everyone.

Mr. Garcia and his crew came late in the day on the agreed upon date, and did an excellent job, including an immaculate cleanup. A team of three, including Mr. Garcia, came to do the job and worked for about 2 hours. They took care not to over trim, and did some pruning on the front rhododendrons. Mr. Garcia strikes me as a very honest and hardworking individual with fair prices, who clearly takes pride in his work and knows what he is doing. I plan to request future services with his company.

This company, owned by Jorge, is very responsible and professional. The crew worked continuously until the jobs were done. Firstly, my yard was in dire need of care and the landscaping was done so quickly. Mowed, weeded, mulched and made my jungle yard look very manicured. The crew put up an est 90' wooden picket fence. The meticulously reground the section posts to ensure a sturdy, balanced fence. Lastly, I requested wooden stairs be built over a sloping back yard. I showed Jorge a pic of what I envisioned and he replicated it beautifully. Great tasks completed. Great company and owner! I highly recommend Jorge and company.

It went very well. They confirmed which day worked for them based on the days I requested. The work was top notch and my front and back yard looked amazing.

Unfortunately, he doesn?t speak nor write English very well. He was very difficult to communicate with and couldn?t write the estimate correctly because he didn?t take notes and didn?t remember what we needed. I just felt that he wasn?t professional due to an illiterate text estimate sent to us. He did seem to know quite a bit about lawns, but missed the point of what we were trying to accomplish with our yard.

It went very well. The job was done satisfactorily. Workers were polite and dependable. The company owner stayed on the premises while the job was being done. I would hire them again!

The crew that came out were efficient, clean, and did a really great job. Showed them the area to be cleaned and within 20 minutes it was a completely different story - cleaned out and everything. They asked if there were additional areas that needed to be cleaned out and attacked those areas quickly. Definitely would hire for landscaping work in the future!

This was a big deal purchase. It went well and I used him for a subsequent job after that. He came out within a week's time. About a month later when I had the money to do the next job he came out again. He is very dependable and is a good guy. Everything was minor that I didn't love. Everything was fine. We left the time he was supposed to show up flexible. We were sort of working with each other on time. He is quiet and is not a big talker. I would say he did fine. It is hard to assess how much he knows about stuff, but he did a fine job. I was not sure by the way he talked whether or not he really knew what he was doing. To get better grades from me they could have more tools on the truck; he had a limited amount of tools to work with. I think he is probably starting up and he probably just hasn't purchased everything he needs. It wasn't like everything that I needed done he did not have every tool to do it.

J&E contacted me within the day and came the day after. Our yard, which has been utterly neglected for at least 5 years (except for mowing), needed an incredible amount of work. Wisteria had wound through the railings, was threatening to pull down a gutter, was choking out roses,and was utterly dominating two large rhododendrons. We had enough maple seedlings to populate a forest and ragweed was filling our terraced gardens. The men arrived promptly. Jorge listened carefully to what I wanted and asked good questions. When I referred to the desire to replant some daylilies in a better location, he was careful to let me know that this would be a bad idea in the current heat and season. We talked about our present yard service and how their persistent over-cutting of the grass had affected the lawn. Jorge impressed me with his condemnation of it as unethical and, well, just plain stupid. The mens started work while we were still speaking, which initially intimidated me as I worried about their judgment, but I needn't have been concerned. Their work on the wisteria and rhododendron was incredible--careful, precise, and thorough. That quality was maintained throughout the day, I had paid for 12 man hours by purchasing a deal on Angie's List. I thought that I'd be lucky if they even got a fraction of what I wanted done finished. They did more than I ever could have imagined--including clearing out a swath of weeds about 5' deep, 3' high, and 70' long. I've already decided to switch our lawn care to J&E. Rather than having someone so relentlessly in pursuit of a dollar that he cuts the grass two times in a week--when it needed it neither time--I have faith that Jorge will use good judgment and fair intentions to maintain our property. Everything he said and did yesterday supported the idea that this is a man who takes pride in his work and truly cares for his clients. I cannot say enough good things about his service.

I called Jorge and within an hour or so he came by to evaluate the job. By the next day he texted me an estimate. Work was done within a few days of initial contact. Quality of work was good and I would have no qualms about hiring them again for future jobs.

This landscape crew lived up to their Angie's List reviews in all ways (even willing to come out to do a walk/around estimate in advance). Jorge was great at clarifying, attentive to details of what we needed, spotted plants they would save, etc.). During the whole process of scheduling he was very responsive (uses texting which cuts out phone tag time lags). When the crew came, they did a very thorough job (while saving our ferns, etc.), even cleared out the growth in the cracks in sidewalk and stairs (that was above and beyond what we had contracted for!); had a crew of 3 working so they could get it done in spite of the rainstorm delaying them at their other project earlier in the day, etc.! Besides all of them working hard and each of the crew of 3 doing a great job, they all worked very fast! Really amazing, given how carefully they unwound the encroaching vines from around our front rose bush and the ferns on the side of the house, etc.!) They also managed to get out the proliferation of those heavy invasive vines from all around the foundation (had gotten especially worrisome around the yard side of the back porch trellis, the gutter downspouts, etc. They took care to leave the autumn sedum and the hosta in front slope along our stairway, while getting out the mock orange and various maple tree seedlings that were out of our reach and needed a heavy duty lopper! Cleaning up afterwards and hauling it all away was also done thoroughly and "as promised"! The amount of work they did, and how clear things look now is quite astounding, and such a huge project of "property upkeep" to have gotten done for a very reasonable price! Now it really is a "fresh start" for us as property owners, and we definitely feel lucky to have found this small company! We will have them back in the future, and are very happy to highly recommend them to others, especially Angie's List members . This small company deserves to get as much business as they can handle, and the positive reviews already posted gave us the confidence to go for their "Big Deal" offer that had shown up in our e-mail from Angie's List.

I bought the $99.00 deal from J&E Landscapers. I am so glad I did! Jorge came to my house and I went over everything I needed to have done in my yard, which was a lot. We scheduled a day (today) and they showed up right on time. My yard looks so great! They trimmed all the bushes (they were WAY overgrown), mowed my lawn, pulled all the weeds up (there were A LOT of weeds), and cleaned up all the debris and branches that had fallen in my yard over the past winter and spring. It was a lot of work and they really did a superb job. Tonight my friend said "I don't remember when your yard looked this good!" I highly recommend them and plan on using their services again.

Jorge most recently built a patio for me, it was about 275 sqft and oddly shaped. He and his team showed up on time, finished in 2 days, and communicated clearly when there was more sqft needed than was originally calculated. On the extra sqft, he gave me a discount as it was quite a lot more and would not have looked good if it was reduced in size. I'm very happy with how the patio turned out and will use Jorge again in the future for landscape or hardscape.

I couldn't have been more impressed with how things went. After getting my request for a quote, Jorge called back immediately, and was able to come by within 45 minutes. He provided a very reasonable quote (we had multiple companies give quotes) and was able to come do the job within 24 hours of getting the job. They arrived early in the morning, were professional, accommodating, friendly and most of all, good at what they do.

I have had the pleasure of having Jorge (J&E Landscape) be our landscape/lawn guy for the last 3 years. I have never experienced the level of courtesy and professionalism that we received from J&E Landscape and therefore feel I need to let others know about this company. When researching for a lanscaping/lawn company, we seeked out many bids. J&E Landscape was not part of the 3 initially reviewed, but we spotted them one day in the Needham area and decided to give Jorge a call. We met Jorge and discussed with him what we wanted/needed and it was easy to make our choice. Jorge is very knowledgeable, low key, and was not as pushy compared to some of the other landscapers we met. Nevertheless, we never had an issue come up because the crew always did a great job. Overall, very reliable, hard working, respectful, pleasant workmen. Very meticulous on thier job, making sure to clean up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone and we will surely call them back for any future work. Thank you Jorge, for always being there when needed and doing a great job extremely well; not a common occurrence these days...

He does a great job. His service was good. He did the job and he did my neighbor's job too. Two people came out and they were fine. They did the job. He's gonna cut the lawn for the rest of the summer.
