Description of Work: They are in the process of sorting, un-boxing and re-boxing, clearing out, and distributing clothing, books, dishes, glassware, and other materials in a large house packed with 25 years worth of stuff of every description. The price quoted is the estimated final price, and they are only partway through the work with the homeowner, who has back problems and no family available in state. The eventual goal is a move to a different community in Massachusetts. They are fast, respectful (very important as the spouse has recently died) and upbeat. Each woman in the crew who has turned up for work has a slightly different talent, and the combination of personalities and expertise when they work together is the key to their success. They have the gift of long experience, as they are of the age to have seen much in their lives, and this may be one of the greatest contributions they offer, but their speed and organizational abilities seem built-in as well.

Description of Work: I was confronted with having to move an elderly friend from her single family home to an assisted living on very short notice. The team met me at my friend's house about 10 days before the anticipated move date; they then visited the assisted living facility. Between the initial call and the move-in date, the team helped me to determine what the furnishings, etc., could/should be moved into the assisted living. They then made arrangements with a moving company and oversaw the move to the assisted living facility. When the elderly resident arrived at her new home, everything was in place: pictures on the walls, books and nic nacs nicely arranged on the bookcase: bed was made. Truly, move-in condition. There is no possible way that I could have accomplished this by myself in a very difficult time. About a month later, the team them came back and helped me pack up the rest of the house, including helping to make decisions about what things to keep, what to store, and what to give away. This is a great service for the challenging task of downsizing. Their attention to detail and good sense of humor were also greatly appreciated.
