It took three calls for him to return our call to view the area; after that he quickly came. At the assessment visit, David was very pleasant and estimated that the work would take no more than 4-5 hours. However, he never subsequently sent the quote. We called, he said he had emailed it; we called again, he said he would email it; called a third time, said email hadn't worked so he would fax; never received fax, mail, or email of quote and it has been over a month.
Description of Work: David Fangel came to our home to assess our needs and provide a quote for service. We sought an electrician to perform some work in our living room, which included grounding some outlets, moving two light fixtures, snaking some electric wires through the wall for invisible wiring of an HD TV on a wall, and adding a few electric sockets. It took three calls for him to return our call to view the area; after that he quickly came.

I was wondering how he was going to cover the area where that long florescent light fixture was. He had gotten a piece of wood and cut it to the right size and stained it to match the wood from the cabinets. The work he did is immaculate. I feel that he went beyond the call of duty when he did the carpentry work. He is pleasant and responsive.
Description of Work: David installed 1 recessed light, where florescent lighting had been over the sink, in my kitchen.

A nightmare from start to finish. At first, David came across as enthusiastic and responsible. He had two helpers who didnt know what they were doing, and discussed that they didnt know how to run the new power line from the NSTAR line outside the house with each other while I was standing with them outside. David left all the outlet and switch plate covers off the new boxes he installed in the basement and told me I should do it. He did not get along with my General Contractor and his carpenters, who were finishing the basement, (Ted Houston Construction) and they were angels. David left without finishing the job clearly defined in our contract, and refused to return to finish unless I paid him more. I fired him and hired another electrician.
Description of Work: Upgraded 100 amp circuit box to 200 amp circuit box, installed new ground rod, replaced main line into house, ran new wiring for outlets, light switches and overhead lights in basement during remodel.
