"We had this company build a new master-suite in our home. That included floor plan changes, tiling the bath, installing a new shower, a jetted tub and a new toilet. Only 3 months after many things fall apart. A glass shelf almost fell in the tub when my wife was in it. It almost injured her. Towel racks came of the walls leaving giant holes behind. The brand new tub stoped draining. I brought in a licensed plumber to fix that and he told me he never saw "such a sh*tshow". And conveniently Mike told me in the middle of he project that his company declared bankruptcy, so no point suing him."

Marco Polo Home Builder has been building homes & doing renovations all over Massachusetts with a great combination of skills-building knowledge, craftsmanship, and professional project management. Over the years, we understood that construction is about wood, bricks, and family. We take our job thoughtfully because we know that a home is the most sanctified place for a person. We value our clients' needs and work with our crew and subcontractors to prioritize them. We aim to make your dream project a reality and hope to be on this journey with you.
"In addition to the kitchen, they also remodeled our bathroom. Marco was sensitive to the fact that we only had one bathroom and made sure we were out the facilities for the minimum time possible. Our bathroom remodel was completed with lightning speed which we really appreciated! The kitchen remodel was also speedy. They worked with our requirements for smaller than usual appliances, finding, and even building, cabinets to fit our small kitchen space. Everyone who worked on our projects were very professional, wearing masks and keeping windows open even in the winter months. We're very happy with our new kitchen and bathroom!"

"The Tech arrived in the morning for the install. We had removed previous shades and curtains so that access to each window was easy. The Tech came prepared with all the tools he’d need; (1) a light powerful drill; (2) Level; (3) Pencil; (4) Measuring Tape. The install went very well. The Tech was familiar with the intricacies of installing window treatment hardware and didn’t run into any issues. We will definitely hire WOW MEDIA again !"

Clear Space Garage and Closet Storage Solutions is your one stop shop for all the garage, closet and home organization systems you will need. We are the best alternative in our service region to the less than stellar solutions you might find at one of the local big box stores. Clear Space combines a commitment to old-school quality workmanship with installation of exceptional product to create an outstanding experience for our customers. Let us help you eliminate clutter throughout your home with garage cabinets, a custom closet system, pantry, mud room, laundry room, home office, hutch, entertainment center, or a custom organizer for any other area of your home.
"Lance and Cindy from Clear Space are fantastic! We wanted a closet system that optimized the available space, gave HIM hooks galore for hats and clothes (that he otherwise won't hang up), gave HER the shoe racks of her dreams, provided LOTS of storage options, AND looked gorgeous in our newly renovated MBR. They noted everything on our wish list, and were able to show us actual products in their demo trailer (coolest set up I've ever seen!). Their pricing was fair, they provided 3D renderings (that helped tremendously), and they did a perfect job of installing the closet system. The outcome was EXACTLY what they promised and EXACTLY what we wanted. On a scale of one to ten, I'd give them a 100. They're truly a professional team offering great products and service. I cannot recommend them enough."

Krafton Woodworks & Design, LLC is a firm able to make custom cabinets, fine furniture and reproduction pieces supplying homeowners, designers, architects and builders thoughout Cape Cod and the Greater Boston market. Founded in 1995 as a woodworking shop, the company is an outgrowth of founder John Krafton's passion for woodworking. The firm specializes in creating custom built-in cabinetry and furniture. "We actually do quite a few antique reproduction pieces, and we use a lot of reclaimed materials," notes Krafton. Offering a full spectrum of finishes, Krafton Woodworks can complete your project in any finish, from hand-rubbed to high-gloss lacquer. The firms uses a lot of reclaimed wood in its projects, both in cabinets and in furniture pieces. "Utilizing older wood, with its character, is a big part of what we do with custom furniture. Also, many designers are looking for an exact size for a table that might be difficult to achieve with an antique, but we can meet it with one of our reproduction pieces," notes Krafton. The company also offers full installation services, which they do themselves, taking care that a client's home is left neat and clean. "We assure our clients that who you see is who you get." We do not subcontract out our installations. We work in our clients' homes, and when we leave, it's as if we were never there." Customer satisfactions is a high priority for Krafton and his team. "We work hard to make sure that our clients get what they want. The architects and designers we work with all appreciate our great attention to detail," says Krafton. Krafton Woodworks & Design works all over Cape Cod, the Greater Boston area, and has also worked as far afield as Philadelphia and Greenwich, CT.

Building a custom closet costs about $2,000, on average. Because many types, sizes, and designs are available, the cost to build custom closets ranges from $250 to $6,000 or more. A reach-in closet is on the lower end of the price range from about $250 to $1,500, compared to a walk-in closet at $750 to $3,500 or a wardrobe at the high end between $1,500 and $6,000 or more.
The main difference between a closet and a wardrobe is that a closet is a separate room for general storage with its own door, and a wardrobe can be either built-in or freestanding place to store clothing. A walk-in or reach-in closet connected to a bedroom often serves the same purpose as a wardrobe by primarily storing clothes and shoes. A built-in wardrobe often does not have doors and leaves clothes exposed to view, whereas a standalone wardrobe usually has doors.
You may need a building permit to add a closet, depending on the size and kind of work required to install it. The most likely scenario requiring a permit involves changing the structure of the house and performing electrical work for closet lighting. A permit can cost between $100 and $450. If you’re installing a smaller reach-in closet, a permit may not be required, but always check with your local municipality and consult a closet designer or builder.
Different types of closets are defined mostly by size. A few different types of closets include:
A reach-in closet is a smaller closet that you can stand in front of and reach everything inside it. Aside from the size, the doors and the level of drywall finish are typically the largest price factors.
A walk-in closet can be anything from a small 5-by-5 feet closet that has a narrow walkway with shelves on both sides to a 100 square foot bedroom-sized closet with shelving along the walls and plenty of room to move around in.
A built-in wardrobe often does not have a door and leaves the clothes and other contents open to the room, whereas a closet usually has a door to separate it from the rest of the room.
Yes, building a custom closet can definitely add value to your home. Creating a more useful and pleasing space to your home, especially a custom closet for prospective home buyers to imagine as their own, is likely to increase the value. However, avoid overdoing it with a closet that takes up too much space that’s otherwise more useful as living space, or paying extra for overly lavish materials and finishes that aren’t likely to add more value than they cost.
