Excellent service and fair price. Mr. Washburn and his colleague Rich were able to come to my house on the same day, just a few short hours after I called them. They immediately assessed the problem (new water pump needed), quickly went back to their store to get the pump required, and shortly after returning to my house had the water running again. I am so thankful. They were wonderful to work with, I highly recommend their services!

On 8-15-13, I noticed water dripping from the PVC pipes where sections of pipe were joined to other sections leaving puddles of water on the floor. Mr. Washburn came out and put “plumber’s glue) around the sections dripping water. In December, water was dripping from the PVC pipes, and when the bell on the sump pump attempted to discharge the water up the pipes, it wasn’t able to get a full suction due to the leaking pipes. It was Christmastime so I waited to call Mr. Washburn until 12/26/13. On his answering machine I told him the problem and the fact that the sump pump wouldn’t shut off worried me as I feared the motor would burn out. No return call. I called again 1/8/14 @ 2:52 p.m. with the same message and waited for a callback and not receiving one, I knew he wasn’t returning my calls. We were due for very heavy rain on Saturday, January 11, 2014 so I was desperate to get service. I went to Home Depot to purchase the “plumber’s glue”, and the sales rep said that wouldn’t solve the problem. He sold me Stretch and Seal tape, a self-fusing silicone sealing tape. It did not solve the problem either. On January 10 th, I called my plumber who came over on 1/11/13 to assess the problem. He said I needed new pipes, and not the PVC pipes. While the plumber was in the cellar, my sump pump’s motor burned out! (Just what I told Mr. Washburn in December and January I feared would happen.) Now I desperately needed a new sump pump as the rain had already started. The plumber brought me a new sump pump, and his men came back and removed the PCP pipes and installed a better quality black pipe. If it wasn’t for the plumber, there’s no doubt that the Fire Department would have had to come to pump out the cellar. Where was the customer service from Mr. Washburn? He was right there to install the pump in 2009, but forget about servicing it. Servicing and follow-up is even more important than the installation. Shame on you Mr. Washburn of Aqua Pumps!

Don Came over and brought an additional worker. They recognized the problem immediately and wasted no time getting started. In less than an hour or so, we had a new tank, and check valve. He even put in the new one in a nicer way than the old one. Now the gauges and things are on the front the way they should be.

Called Don early Sunday Morning, when else does your pump go out, received a call shortly after leaving a message, Don was at the house between 8:30-9 am. By 10:30 we were up and running, Don some how found a nick in the red wire and repaired it. We are having him back to look at our pressure tank, because we've always had pressure problems.
