We closed on our property Friday and had to wait until Monday to call the water company. We wanted a plumber to come out the same day but did not know when the water provider was coming on Monday. We called the water company bright and early Monday morning and was told they would arrive at 11am. Luckily with Angie's list we found a reliable plumber who responded quickly and arrived shortly after the the water company arrived. Our home as heat and hot water in all areas except the 2nd floor bathroom. Dave will be back to fix that and with the service that was provided we are not worried at all. Great job ??

I would recommend Dave for oil to gas conversions and other heating system needs. He is very knowledgable, prompt, and thorough. Dave was responsive by phone and email for scheduling the quote and the work itself, and answered all my questions. He also walked me through how to get a rebate for our conversion. Once I hired him, he was well organized and able to complete the work in one day. He also cleaned up the work area in our basement thoroughly.

Dave returned my call within minutes and came over immediately (the other vendor I had called got back to me 7 hours later). My heat did not come on when we tried it for the first time this season, and was able to diagnose the problem. He attempted to get it up and running for a while but was unable to (certainly not due to lack of effort...the part was just all done). He came back on Monday (original call was Saturday) first thing in the morning and replaced the part. (Note: He did attempt to track down the part that day and said if it was colder or if there were any safety concerns he would have figured out a way to do so). He also determined an incorrect valve (one stage vs. two stage) was on their previously and replaced it with the correct one. He had given me a preliminary "worst case scenario" once he realized the part needed to be replaced, and came in under that figure. Dave was nice, prompt, professional....and most importantly got my heat back in working order.

Upon smelling gas in my home, National Grid came out and identified a gas leak somewhere in the gas line to the stove. They told me I needed a plumber today or they'd shut the gas off to the entire house. After calling several plumbers...Power Plumbing agreed to come do the job. He showed up right away and isolated the issue within minutes! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fast. He quickly fixed the issue!! Really saved the day! I will definitely use him again to fix a few other issues we found with the plumbing.

We needed to have a water heater replaced immediately and Dave was very responsive. I called at 8am and he was at my condo with a new water heater by 11am. They did a great job and cleaned up. It was such a seamless process and exactly what we needed after waking up to a leaking water heater.

Dave was professional, timely, and fair in his dealings. He fixed our immediate problem promptly and reviewed some other work we need done, which we'll have him back to complete at a future date. We will recommend him to our friends and neighbors should they need plumbing or heating work done.

It went great. Dave and crew showed up on time, performed the work in a very efficient and cost effective manner. I know Dave will be my first call if/when additional plumbing needs arise.

As I said, on Monday we had a leak from the 2nd floor bathtub drain in my multi family that was leaking through the ceiling into the first floor apartment's kitchen. Obviously the first floor tenant wasn't too happy so we needed someone right away. I called a few plumbers from Angie's List that were local. The first few plumbers that I spoke with (actually one never called me back) said that they were so straight out that they couldn't get there til the end of the week. I called Power Plumbing and although he was busy at a job in Brookliine, he said he would stop by that afternoon to take a look and see what was going on. He stopped by and said the copper piping was a bit of a disaster and would have to be replaced including he would have to take down all the IKEA cabinets in the first floor apartment to get at the leak and gave us an estimate of the cost. He was there first thing the next day, fixed the leak and called in the afternoon saying he had just finished up. He was great about keeping in touch and communicating what was going on and what was needed and his bill was only $25 over what he estimated. Tenants are happy along with us. I'm glad we connected with 'Dave' though Angie's List and we would definitely use him again in the future if we had any plumbing issues.

Although the service was not performed, the contrctor was honest, professional, accomodating, prompt via telephone. He actually left the job that he was working on to evaluate my situation. Unfortunately for him, someone else in the building had contacted another plumber, who had arrived and performed the service. Would definetly contact in the future.

Our oil heatier was very old, time to upgrade to a new system. After considering the cost, efficiency, and heating bill, we decided to convert it to gas heating. Heard a contractor in Needham from one of our friends, that is a two peple team, the price is good. had the contractor took a look last fall. We bought a boiler via that contactor's account online, of course, paid by my credit card, as deposit. Then never saw that contractor again from then on. We spent the whole cold snowy winter feeling stuck and struggle to keep the house from frozen. This year, we decided to look on Angie's list. After reading several plumbing company's reviews, we called around, Power Heating is one of them. We made an appointment for initial evaluation. Dave came right on time. He looked around, and also saw the new boiler we bought last year sitting in the garage. I told Dave where this came from and why still in garage. He actually told us they could install this one, since it is new and a good high efficient boiler. We were very relied and glad we did not have to deal with the supplier to return it. Dave gave us a quote as $9500, since we already paid $3500 for the boiler. He can start the convertion in a week. Bob teamed up with Jim started the work on a Tuesday. They were right on time, and very efficient. In one day, they got the old boiler out and alrady started to install the new one. After 2 days, Dave coordinate the work, got the elctrician in the house. By Friday, the basement was cleaned, the new system was ready to be inspected, and the inspection was passed without any problem. However, we can not get an appointment with National Grid to install the gas meter on The same day. Dave tried very hard to help us to get the meter installed asap. On the next Monday, the meter was installed, and our new boiler was running without problem. Dave recommed someone to take our old oil tank out. Overall, Dave and his team are very professional, responsive to phone call and text, also did high quality works. It was a pleassure working with them.

The system was set up fine with only a few issues after installation. It would have helped if he had left notes on a few items that turn out to be fairly typical - like the water odor will go away (which it did), and if the exterior air intake gets clogged the system will not run. Turns out it is easy for the external air intake to be clogged by blowing snow and one only needs to take off the cover of the unti to allow air intake. Unfortunately I went out into a blizzard at 3:00 a.m. to wipe the intake pipe off and would have continued to do that until Dave returned my call to tell me of the simpler, more convenient temporary solution. I like the system and it has worked well since then.

I contacted Power Plumbing who I used before on the 2nd of 4 rental properties I own and operate. I spoke to Dave, the owner who is a pleasant hard working guy about coming out to replace a cracked drain pan. He was able to schedule me last minute which I appreciated very much. The only problem was that he could only send one guy out for this job and two are needed to move the appliance off the pan and back. I offered to be the other helper and took a half day off work. The guy came out and began the job. We removed the appliance, the plumber discovered that the new pan required a different coupler and he didn't have on his truck. While he ran to get that part, I removed the cracked pan and cleaned up the area to prepare it for the plumbers return. My intention was to obviously keep my costs down so the plumber could get in and out. When he returned, he continued the job only to find a another problem making the connection to the PVC pipe in the floor due to the fact it wasn't secured in the floor. I was on-site the whole time so I totally understood his dilemma. He tried for over an hour banging the the drain into the flange, he kept trying and trying, I was very sympathetic to his frustration. He was swearing as well and there were children in the house. I didn't say anything because I really was saw he was trying. He eventually came to the conclusion that he needed a different type of fitting but it was late in the afternoon and he quits at 4 pm. So we agreed to meet in the morning to finish the job . The next day he was in and out after 15 minutes. The total time on-site was about 4 hrs (Monday 12:30pm -3:30pm plus Tuesday 8:00pm -8:15pm). Before he left I ask if he could take the materials from the job ( I remembered Dave took everything from the water heater job prior) he said he had no dumpster. So I said no problem, I'll take with me. I also found out later that 2 picture frames fell off the wall and cracked from all the banging. When I received the bill for $425 I was shocked, considering I was there the whole time assisting the plumber in moving the appliance, not to mention I took a half day off from work. Dave did get back to me and knocked $125 off the bill citing that his guy spent a lot of time on the job. It still left a bad taste in my mouth since I knew the scope of work and pricing was out of line, but I agreed to pay and move on. I think Dave is a good guy but I think he may have gotten an exaggeration from his worker on time spent on the job. I totally understand that there are unexpected things that come up in a job but there is no doubt that this was excessive so I will no longer do business with this company I should have gotten a price for the job, and not by the hour, as I learned my lesson here and I only have myself to blame. I expected the company to do the right thing.

Amazing!!!! Power plumbing was very helpful. We had water leaking in the basement from the kitchen and he was able to help us identify the problem, make recommendations to repair and fix at a modest cost. We needed to replace some of the drainage pipes in the basement as well as a couple mixing valves off the furnace. We highly recommend plumbing services by Power Plumbing. It was a great experience.

There are a few reasons why I would never consider using this provider again: 1. There was no mention of the charge for coming in to evlaluate the problem when I was setting up the appointment. I was not aware that simply to stop by Dave charges $150. 2.Dave asked a couple of questions when he came in and determined that the problem was not plumbing-related, charged me half price ($75) for coming in and doing nothing. Could have just asked me those questions over the phone, but then of course he wouldnt be able to charge me $75 for a 5 min visit. 3. Not very professional - Dave marched through my entire house in his boots coming straight from outside dragging dust thrughout knowing quite well I had a newborn in the house (just a few weeks old).

He found a jury-rigged mess from the previous owner and came up with a creative solution that didn't involve tearing the place apart. The pipe below the toilet was recessed in the floor, and he said he'd never seen one so low before. The previous owner had also stacked rubber disks together around the hole, effectively creating a dam to any water leaking; he had also filled the cracks around the pipe with concrete! Power Plumbing cleaned it up and solved the issue by inserting a flange in the hole to extend the pipe above the floor. He had to go away to buy a part, but returned very quickly. I appreciated the way he cleaned up after the work was done. Very professional, courteous, and diligent.

Overall everything went smoothly. I called 6 different companies all from Angie's list and Dave was one of two companies that answered the phone or returned my call at all. Dave is professional, personable, arrived on time and did exactly what he said he was going to do. Dave was able to tell me what the problem was and why the previously plumber wasn't able to fix it. He explained to me that the pipes were flowing in the wrong direction so the hose spigot would keep leaking until we turned those pipes around if the shutoff valve was not in place. The shutoff valve was the first step in getting this corrected and I will call Dave back in the spring to correct the rest of this plumbing mistake. He even spent some more time with me in my basement pointing out a few pluming related problems that could crop up in the future because the builders that flipped the house in 2012 took quite a few shortcuts. Did I mention I called him on Friday and he came on Saturday morning? What a life saver! I will definitely call Dave again in the future. Thank you Dave!!

Dave did excellent work from beginning to end. He responded quickly when we contacted plumbers for quotes, performed a thorough inspection and presented options for fixing our old gas furnace and water heater (e.g., costs/benefits of a high efficiency furnace and on-demand water heater), never tried to up-sell us for stuff we didn't really need, prepared a competitive quote, and scheduled the project promptly. Then, we were very pleased with the work. Dave and his crew arrived on time, replaced our equipment as described and in line with the quote, and left our utility closet in tidy condition. Throughout the experience, Dave has been highly responsive by phone and text (frequently answering in just a few minutes), helpful in answering all our questions, and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Nice guy but the price he charged was outrages, he charged me $450 for a service which I found out later would have been cheaper with a different company by $200

Dave was very prompt in responding to us. The details of the job were clearly explained and the cost agreed upon. Dave started the job the very next day. He kept in constant contact with us to make sure that the gas company was doing what they were supposed to do on their part. This was not his responsibility but he just went the extra mile to make sure that we were satisfied. He also made arrangements for the oil tank to be taken out of the basement. The other tenants in the building praised Dave for his professionalism and cooperation. We would highly recommend Dave. He was a pleasure to work with, was prompt and very professional.

I had a great experience with Dave. He was able to not only come out for a consultation, but also completed the job the same day as my call. He and his partner were both extremely pleasant, friendly and professsional. I live in a 4 unit condo building. My condo was the 3rd this year to have the hot water heater conk out. I know based on what my neighbors paid that Dave's quote was very competitve and fair. I would absolutely recommend Dave to any of my friends.

first of all I was given a price of $350.00. He would not give me a breakdown of what part was labor and what part was materials. He was here a total of 2 hours (which included his going to pick up the part/parts? when I asked about the Angie's discount was told it was in the total. no mention of my senior discount at all. from what I can tell he charges $175.00 an our. total rip-off and I told him I would never use or recommend him.

Dave gave me a call on a Saturday, letting me know he could come by and hook up a gas dryer that we had discussed previously. He came prepared with all the parts need, including grabbing a couple elbows to rout the vent out of the dryer. It wasn't a simple "hook up to the gas line", as he had to re-rout the line, and drop it down through a masonite drop ceiling. Very professional, and quick. He also took a look at our boiler/water heater which we are planing to replace, and will be providing an estimate. Thanks Dave!

Dave and his team are great. Extremely responsive and very fair with pricing. Definitely my go to for any and all plumbing issues!
