Dave and team were great to work with, punctual, responsive, available and looking out for my budget. Among all the insanity of remodeling, renovating and moving, Dave always came through. Awesome.

It went perfectly. This was actually installed at my in-laws house (talk about high pressure!). We wanted to install a washer and dryer on the first floor so that my elderly mother-in-law would no longer have to go downstairs to do the laundry. We discussed the options with Dave and he told us which one he thought was best. We agreed; he said he'd call us when he could do the work. He called within a couple of days; came exactly when he said he would and did the work. When he opened the wall, it wasn't exactly as expected so he did whatever else was needed. He completed the job; everything was left neat and clean. No one wants to spend $3000 but it was a big job and he did what was necessary. I feel as though he treated us as he would treat his own family. It was good to have someone so reliable and trustworthy working in my in-laws house; they are elderly and we worry about them.

First let me say that I am in the industry so I can gauge when a sub is trying something funny. Back in April/May I called a few plumbers to get an estimate for my oil to gas conversion. One company did not come out, but gave an estimate over the phone. Another came out and then hit us with a fee for the estimate (this was not conveyed over the phone). Also on the list was Power. He was the only plumber to show up (no fee by the way) and give a complete narrative of what needed to be done plus a few options. In no way did I feel that these options were an up-charge, but just an experienced plumber laying it all out on the table. After the meeting (and all the options decided upon) he gave me clear directions and recommendations on how to deal with the gas company to get the ball rolling. Fast forward a few months, the gas company finally installed a new line from the street to the house. I called up Power and set up a time when to begin. Needless to say with these old houses it was not an ideal install, but they (true to their word) installed everything and got all the necessary inspections to have a fully functioning gas heat system in the time frame quoted. He also did a great job of cleaning up on his way out the door as well. Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. After the plumber is done concurrently you need to have the gas company come out and install a meter bar (one department). Now the gas company is supposed to connect the gas piping that is stubbed out of the house to the meters bar. This did not happen. What happened was I called Power in a panic he preceded to drop what he was doing run to the house and make the final connection for me. Once this is done you then need to have the gas company install the meter set (another department). Fortunately, while Power was making the final connection the gas company showed up with the meters and with in a couple of hours I had a fully functioning gas fed heating system. I will be honest this is not the easiest of experiences to go through. There is pain involved, but Power in my mind made it as painless as possible. I highly recommend Power Plumbing (in fact I already have), and will be using them in the future.

He was very personable and amazing. He is also very reliable and efficient. We started about two weeks ago and they are about done. They are building a oil to gas conversion and he will be managing it. He did not try to up sell us on anything. He gave us several options as well.

When I called Power Plumbing he was at my house within 30 minutes (as he said he would be). Very professional and explained everything he wanted to fix. I would definitely use Power Plumbing again and recommend their services!

It seems to be my month for plumbing emergencies! This is the second time I reached out to Power Plumbing in need of immediate assistance. My water heater stopped working and leaked all over my basement over the weekend. I immediately called Power Plumbing. Dave promptly returned my call--even though he was on a family vacation! He gave me solid advice and took care of the water heater first thing Monday morning! He also took away the old heater plus some other heavy items that I couldn't drag out to the trash. He was awesome!

I will use Dave again with any future needs.

We had discussed the jobs for the spring when he replaced our garbage disposal during the winter. When I called he answered the same day and moved another appointment to do the work that week at a time convenient to us

My tenants called me with an emergency plumbing issue. I called my regular plumber but just in case placed several other calls to see if it would be possible to get someone to the house faster. I placed a call to David around 4:15pm, reached him right away. He was able to reach my rental property in less than 45 minutes and fixed our issue within a jiffy. A plus for responsiveness. I'll definitely call David again in the case I have any other issues.

I had a plumbing emergency with my main water valve into the house--late Saturday afternoon during the Bruins play off game. Dave responded to my message and called me back within 10 minutes. He was at my house within the hour and coordinated shutting off the water with the city. He was professional and offered excellent advice. I have already hired him for another job. I would highly recommend him. I am so grateful.

I worked with Dave during the latter half of January and into the spring of 2012 on various projects related to a renovation of my newly purchased two family home. I learned of him from Angie's list. Based on the numerous excellent reviews by other members, I decided to try him for a gas stove install for my tenants' apartment. I was not in the least disappointed. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He would answer all my questions regarding the install and was very careful in his handling of the gas connectors, making sure to test the outlet a number of times to insure that that there were no gas leaks. I called upon him in an emergency where my oil boiler wouldn't start, late at night and only charged me half price. He did not rush the work, though it was very late and he had come from home. Next, due to a leak in my old oil tank, I decided to convert to gas. Dave carefully explained all the options and the process of conversion. When I decided to go ahead, he and his team finished the whole process in a day. In fact, although he estimated they would finish by 5:00 PM, he and his team finished at 3:00 PM, before I had gotten home after leaving early to meet them. He made a courtesy call, a couple days later, to make sure the system was flushed. Once again, he answered all my questions and instructed me on how I could take care of the situation myself in the future. The system is wonderful and is keeping my house nice and warm despite the cold nights we had been having. Update: Just a week ago, I came home Saturday to find that the heating had shut down. I called and discussed the situation with Dave. We tried to troubleshoot over the phone. When that turned out to be unsuccessful, he came right over, by now it was almost midnight. He resolved the problem (high winds had shut down the safety switch) quickly, while explaining exactly how to resolve it on my own in the future. Additionally, at no extra charge, he drained the dirty water in the boiler. Later that week, after exploring several options and seeking the strongest outcome for the shortest price, Dave finalized that repair as well. It is fantastic to have someone so dependable and fair who will come out like a trooper even on emergency weekend calls like the above. I have been delighted with the work Dave has done and would, without reservation, call upon him in the future. I highly recommend him to other Angie's list members.

We hired Dave to come in and check a faint gas smell coming from our gas boiler and heater. He found two leaks and fixed both of them. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and also gave some suggestions on our broken vanity. We were very pleased with his service and will be likely to contact him again for future plumbing jobs

After my hot water heater broke, Dave was quick and responsive. He was able to recomend, purchase, and replace a new heater for me. He was professional and punctual. I would definitely hire him again.

Mr. Power responded immediately to my request for service. we set a date. He arrived on time, He left to get pipe to change the drain configuration to accommodate the new unit and returned very promptly and finished the installation quickly. He spent time looking a two other plumbing issues we have and gave us good advice. We agreed I would call him to do the outside work when the weather changed. Great service! We will use him again.

We had a list of several items that needed attention. After first time phone call, Dave came over right away. He fixed the dripping shower head after two failed attempts by a previous plumber. Rather than fixing temporarily, as many plumbers would do, Dave took the time to take the shower head apart and found construction debris lodged in the pipe, which was causing the drip. He also tried to repair a running toilet but recommended we replace it, as it was on its way out. While owner was obtaining new plumbing fixture, Dave made other repairs, including making a very sluggish shower drain run like new again. Dave was very thorough and followed up several times with phone calls to make sure everything was running smoothly. He was honest, fair and definitely knows his stuff. Would highly recommend him.

Dave and company arrived on time and were professional, yet friendly. Came back to finish the job in a timely manner once the new appliances were delivered. Dave was a pleasure to work with - knows his stuff.

I called Power Plumbing looking for help to install a new shower valve in the bathroom. I left a voice message and David called back very promptly. We made an appointment for the next day and he showed up on time. He did an excellent quality work, completed within estimated time and price. He was very courteous and professional. I will definitely use Power plumbing again very soon.

Dave arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time (9 am). He inspected the work area and the piping, and agreed the hot water heater was on its way out. Got right to work replacing it. This is a job that I expected to take around 3 hours, but it was completed in less than two. Work area was completely cleaned, old heater removed at no extra cost, and he honored a coupon I had found online, even though I forgot to mention it when I hired him. He also helped us aerate the faucets in the kitchen and bathroom. Dave was polite and professional, friendly but respectful of our time (I've had past contractors stand there and chat with us for 10-15 minutes) He also gave us a fair estimate to run cooking gas to the kitchen and replace the electric range with gas. If I decide to go through with that project, I will definitely hire Dave Power for the work.

I had Dave come out to my house for a drain leak about 18 months ago and was very pleased with his work then. So, when I came home last Sunday night on the coldest night of the year (single digits) and found the temperature in my house to be 57, I called Dave right away. He came within 15 minutes and immediately figured out that there was a part in my 9-year old gas boiler that needed to be replaced. He had it in his truck and was able to replace it and get me up and running. He waited to make sure the heat came back and that all the radiators were working. His level of responsiveness (and on a holiday weekend) helped save me from the possibility of frozen pipes, and I am very grateful for that. I would highly recommend him.

We discovered a small gas leak in the supply line when our oven was serviced recently and suddenly we needed a plumber. Dave was highly recommended here on Angies List so we gave him a call after not being able to reach another plumber recommended by a neighbor. It was Sunday but his wife answered, gave us some safety information, and we got a call back from Dave shortly thereafter. After determining that this was no longer an emergency but still urgent he agreed to come out first thing Monday. He was friendly, courteous, professional, and careful to explain what he was doing. He took the time to share some insight into how the plumbing in our old house had been updated (or not) over the years (for instance, he said the line he was repairing was done by someone who basically knew what they were doing, but not a professional and he could identify some reasons why it had failed eventually). He was also thorough, making sure to quickly inspect our gas system as a whole (our gas lines initially looked small to him, but he did the math and decided they were fine - but if we ever added-on we might want to look into it). After fixing our supply valve quickly and checking his work he also talked with me for a few minutes about our hot water heater that wasn't staying hot very long. We were very pleased with his service and will be likely to contact him again for future plumbing jobs.

Prior to doing anything else, Dave came and spent time with me explaining the pros and cons of different burners including efficiency and lifespan. Once I made the decision, everything went along much more quickly than I had thought possible. After the burners arrived, the entire removal and installation process took two days. All the work was done with extreme efficiency and almost no disruption to normal house routine. Dave and his assistants cleaned up after their work and left a large space behind where the oil storage tanks used to stand. I was pleasantly amazed at how uncomplicated the changeover turned out! I can wholeheartedly recommend Dave Power for this work as well as general plumbing. He is a great worker who is reliable, fair and worthy of trust.

Excellent. I left message with Dave at 9pm, he called before 730 the next morning. Showed up at 830 and had it fixed by 945. Also cleaned out base of boiler.

I contacted Dave last year to address trouble with our old radiator system being unbalanced. He came right over, calibrated each radiator to increase efficiency, and we saw results immediately. I had hired two other plumbers in the past that I was not happy with, and the next time a plumbing emergency arose (leaking pipes under our bathroom, through the kitchen ceiling), I decided to call Dave. He was very professional, clean, fast, and got the job done! He was also very considerate of my two young kids- no tools left out, sloppiness, or the usual bits and pieces left behind. When our water heater blew a few months later, we thought we could do it ourselves. Were we wrong! We had to call Dave at 8:00 on a Sunday night, he came right over and saved the day. Since then, he's advised me on several projects we've needed to get done. He's in my speed-dial, and there to stay!
