They did it all on time, were very responsive fixing small problems. he porches look beautiful!

Dan was very responsive when we requested the estimate - he showed up the next day about 1/2 an hour before the scheduled time. After he inspected the problem, he emailed me that it would be $900 to fix. He agreed to match another contractor's estimate of $800 and said he would make one more inspection then email a formal estimate for me to print out. That's when things went downhill. Instead of sending me the estimate like he said and scheduling a time to do the repairs that would be convenient for the three families in our condo, he showed up unscheduled to do the work on a weekday when I was at work and unavailable to coordinate with my housemates. Basically, Dan made me look bad - as if I'd been disrespectful of my housemates' time. I have no complaints, however, about the quality of Bob's work. One thing that was frustrating, though, was that Bob indicated he couldn't put shingles over the repair and also keep it within the estimate. Unfortunately, Dan hadn't said a word about shingles or their cost, so we didn't know they were possible and didn't budget for them.

The work went very well. We live in a 3 family house with 3 porches in the front of the house, and the front porch columns on the first floor were caving into the deck because the iron posts below were deteriorated and the main support beam was starting to crack. Dan came and assessed the porch, and determined only the first floor porch would need replacement at this time. Big money saver to not have to replace the porches on all 3 floors. He gave a detailed estimate, and did the job on time, and spoke to all 3 condo owners as we came and went from the house. We did have to ask for additional girth on the columns to keep the look of the other columns on the 2nd and 3rd floors, but he did that without issue. He worked on time, and cleaned up, which was very important after the demolition of the original porch. UPDATE: Unfortunately there was a problem that came up with the porch over time. The nails used on the main deck of the porch seemed to bleed into the wood, and have left small stains around most of the nails. In all fairness, we did not call to complain because it had been over a year, and the wood was already discolored around the nails. We also used an exterior stain on the porch right after the work was complete, and honestly think it is not due to the exterior deck stain we used. We were disappointed though that the nails caused some type of problem and that the wood discolored.

They did all the work with in one day. They showed up on time to do the work for us. They cleaned up everything when they were done working. They called me to tell me they were on their way over to the house. They called to back sure that I was happy with all the work.

Dan came over the day after I called and took a look at our deck. We were concerned about the railings as well as the overall shape of the deck as we recently bought our house. He checked everything out, gave me lots of information about the shape the deck was in and actually recommend we do nothing at this point - to save our $$ and plan on replacing the deck in about 5 years! I appreciated his professionalism and honesty! When we get ready to replace the deck, we will certainly give Dan a call.

Dan and his team were terrific! Estimate was fair and accurate to the work accomplished and Dan was excellent about coming up with cost-effective solutions when necessary. He and his team even came back a few weeks later to make sure that everything was up to their standards and tweaked some minor details.

We needed to replace an old, sagging wooden deck with a newer and better Procell deck. Out of several contractors I met and received estimates from, Dan ranked among the top in professionalism and enthusiasm for the project. Fortunately, his estimate also happened to be the least expensive. He was very easy to work with in all phases of the project, from the initial planning to the final cleanup. While the work was being done, communication was very good and I was updated daily on how the work was coming along. Dan was flexible with making changes to the original plan when some unexpected issues arose and was responsive to my requests. Overall, the work was completed within the estimated time frame and budget. The work quality was excellent. I would definitely consider Dan for any future work and would recommend his services without any hesitation.

We contacted several contractors and Dan was the first to give us an estimate and he gave us the lowest estimate for the job by far, which made us a little nervous (the lowest estimate isn't always the best) but he seemed confident and knowledgeable so we decided to go with him. We are glad we did. He did an excellent job redoing our deck. After ripping up the old decking, it became clear that the rotting joists would also need to be replaced. He clearly explained the situation to us, pointed out the rotting bits and explained the options and how it would impact the cost of the job. Replacing the joists added time and effort to the job and weather delayed some of the work, but Dan stayed with our job until it was finished despite the extra time. Even with the extra work and materials needed to replace the joists, the total cost was still less than the other quotes we had received! Dan was friendly and courteous throughout the project and we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

It went excellently. He was quick to arrive, was flexible in changing requirement, offered good suggestions on how to carry out the project, cleaned up thoroughly when he was done and he gave me a good price. The workmanship was excellent.

Dan is a perfect partner with your project, extremely knowledgeable and creative, a great person as well.

Dan has done smaller jobs for me before and always been reliable, helpful, and prompt. The job on my back porch turned out to be bigger than I had originally hoped. I really appreciate how Dan worked with me to make the job affordable and to my liking. He was flexible about design and materials and my needs for scheduling, completed the work in a timely manner, worked hard and cleaned up after himself. Dan is also an artist and cares about making his work look good. I am very happy with the job he did and look forward to enjoying my porch when the weather gets better!

He was a fabulous man to deal with. His communication was fabulous, incredibly nice. He gave me an itemized estimate. Very interactive. Showed different ways to save money and different options. He subcontracted a painter, quality was excellent. Very timely and great. Always easy to reach and a wonderful experience. I'm thrilled with my porch.
