Very well. He arrived on time, knew what he was doing, cleaned up properly, is polite and explains everything.

It went great! Barry was very prompt on arriving, and was helpful as far as resolving some of the questions I had. We realized that he didn't have some of the equipment needed on hand and he was accommodating to leave and return with the necessary equipment to finish the job. Would definitely recommend and would hire again.

We very much enjoyed working with Barry and would highly recommend him. We had been told by our home inspector when buying our condo that our electrical subpanel was undersized and required upgrading, so we wanted to replace the panel as well as install some more outlets in a bedroom which had only one. Barry came to give us an estimate and was able to tell us immediately that our panel had twice the capacity of what we had been told and did not need upgrading. Another electrician came out for an estimate and eventually told us the same thing, but was less upfront about it, so we appreciated Barry's honesty. Barry also had a more competitive price. By not having to spend money on a new panel we were able to buy a ceiling fan for our bedroom and have Barry install it and the outlets we needed at the same time. The work involved cutting small access points into the ceiling to bring the wiring to the walls with the new outlets, which he patched for us and cleaned up the dust. We were extremely pleased with the results and the price and would definitely hire Barry again.

Barry came over after our electrical pole was ripped off the side of our house in a wind storm last year. He did a great job and replaced everything in a timely manner. This is not the first time that we have called Barry and we will not hesitate to call him in the future should we need his services.

We contacted several companies in the very early morning hours following the storm, and Barry O'Connor not only beat all of the other companies in terms of price, but he was the first one to show up. We have used Barry O'Connor before, and that is one reason why we contacted him again. He did a great job the first time and he did not disappoint this last time. He is professional, courteous and gets the job done quickly and correctly.

We had a wonderful experience with Barry. He and his assistant arrived promptly at 7:30 and worked hard until 3:30 (they went out for a short lunch break). The work came out great and he's easy to work with. We got three bids on the job, one bid was much higher than his, and also the high bidder was hard to communicate with, he didn't seem to understand the aesthetics of the job.. One bid was a little lower but communications and reliability were a problem, he became unresponsive, it took him a month to send his bid and then he never answered a question I asked. I felt that Barry was totally in tune with the aesthetics and a real pro on the technical side. His price was very reasonable (I provided the fixtures and dimmer switches). Also, and this is not relevant to the job, but when he came out to give us the estimate we were in the midst of a crisis -- a large heavy bookcase, loaded with books and vinyl records, in a bedroom had collapsed and fallen against the door, blocking it shut. The only way we could get into the room and clear the bookcase away was to break a window, as the door was much too heavy for my husband and I to push open. Barry took one look and immediately said that he would push it open, and he did. No charge and he really got us out of a jam, thank you Barry!

Barry and Sean arrived exactly as agreed upon. They were both professional and efficient, and at the same time personable and friendly. They did a great deal of work quickly, thoroughly, and cost-effectively. I would definitely recommend Barry for anyone's electrical concern, and I will definitely call him again if I have electrical issues in the future. Thank you Barry, for such great work!

Very nice and efficient. He and his partner did all of that within a day. He even patched up the holes he made in the wall.

We tried to replace an old ceiling fan with light in our kitchen, but once we got down to the old wiring and electrical box in the ceiling, we were stumped. Barry was incredibly responsive, professional, did quality work fast and at a fair price (another electrician quoted us three times the amount for the same work.) Even though our job was really small he took it seriously and didn't try to upsell us or "inspect" our whole house. I would highly recommend Barry - he told me he's very busy, and I can see why. Looking forward to working with Barry again.

Barry was great - quickly identified the issues. He was able to fix the buzzer and identified an issue with the speaker. Furthermore he quickly found the problem with the porch light and setup a timer for the light which was exactly what was needed! Highly recommend and will certainly be contacting him again for any future work.

Showed up on time and ready to work. Very nice and polite. Cleaned up mess when complete. Main contact was via text message, which was not ideal, but once scheduled it didn't matter. Would recommend to any homeowner.

Barry quickly responded to our call, and came by to check out the problems and give an estimate. When we explained that we needed this done quickly, he called us the very next day after he got a cancellation and offered to do the work that day. How great is that? He came by and quickly made our problems go away. He was personable, professional and did everything we needed done - nothing more and nothing less, and his price was more than reasonable. We can't thank him enough and will definitely call him everytime we need electrical work.

Wonderful! Barry and his assistant are really nice guys. They did the work super clean and efficient, and explained what was going on along the way. Some people might have been annoyed by my questions (yes, I'm a first time home owner). However, Barry was at ease being a friendly conversationalist while still getting the job done. I'm having him come back to do some more work sometime this month. I highly recommend Barry.

Barry was great to work with. He was very responsive and professional throughout the process. The project was completed on time and on budget. He suggested other areas of improvement (e.g. installing an additional light in the hallway, wiring for a flat-screen tv) which improved the overall result. He even went out and got the additional light fixture himself to install. His estimate was competitive both in price and timeline to complete the project. The electrical inspector passed the project with flying colors. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the final product.

We won the Electrician lottery when we called Barry! Every part of the project went remarkably well including the cost. He was very respectful, punctual, patient and confident. The house is very old and the wiring was too. He identified exposed wires leading into the house, fixed the DIY wiring done by the previous owners, upgraded the panel and then ran a new wire from the main house to the garage and installed lighting, outlets and cable. Scheduling was easy and flexible. He called us right back, came on time and worked non-stop. He even went out of his way on his day off to get the inspector out here sooner rather than later so we could fill in the trench. Now we have a safe home and everything works! I've never used Angie's List before but do read the reviews, albeit a bit skeptically. I'm so happy with this whole experience I'll confidently say to call him if you ever need an electrician.

Very impressed with Barry's work and professionalism. When we contacted him for a wiring issue, he called back the same day, was early for the appt. and identified/fixed our problem immediately. Barry will be our go-to electrician for any future electrical needs.

I called Barry at 4:00 Pm because after many years of operating fine my air condition started blowing the circuit breaker. He said he would come at 6:00 Pm. He arrived right on time. He checked the air conditioner and the circuit breaker and they were operating correctly. He noticed that I had a 15 amp circuit breaker. He said that the 15 amp circuit breaker was borderline for the air conditioner I was using. It should a 20 amp circuit breaker. He checked the wiring and found that it was wired for 20 amp. He replaced the circuit breaker with a 20 amp. The air conditioner has been running fine since. Barry was very professional and friendly. I give Barry a high recommendation.

Barry was great to do business with. He showed up right on time the days that he promised to do the job and or to quote for the job. He was fast, professional and very neat. I am really happy of the overall experience and I would definetively call him if I need an electrician again for either a small job, or a bigger job.

Barry was very punctual and professional, he was able to come out on short notice to look at the project, he was able to schedule the work and performed the work in a high quality manner. Barry did exactly what he said he would and I would use him again and recommend him to others.

Having used Barry before I called him to discuss the small projects I had and he was able to come that day, give me an estimate and had time to do the projects the same day. I had Barry install a new bathroom light, new sensor light in my backyard and fix an exterior light that got broken this past winter. He was quick and professional and reasonable in cost. I've used Barry in the past and was always happy with the work he did and this time was no exception. I would highly recommend him.
