Ferrimy Construction

My experience with Ferrimy Construction was extremely positive. Sam and his crew were friendly, skilled, and professional. Sam (owner) was prompt in coming to our house and giving a reasonable estimate. The ordered skylight needed to be custom made due to unusual size and took longer than expected. Given that untimely inconvenience, they were able to make up for lost time and came through in spades. Also due to this inconvenience Sam had all the gutters cleaned by his men free of charge. I highly recommend Ferrimy Construction and I look forward to working with them soon.

Sam and his team did a great job. They are courteous and professional. They did extensive, meticulous prep work on the entire house ( trim and siding) before painting. The workers answered all of my questions and willingly accepted my input when I noticed issues. They are hard workers who make the effort to do the job right. They did a thorough clean-up at the completion of the job. This is the third time I have hired Ferrimy and I would not hesitate to call them again. It's nice to deal with a company that you can trust to stand behind their work.

Sam came out quickly after my call; he understood the problem immediately and sent an estimate the same day. The work was booked in good time. The men who came to do the work were hard working, the 'project manager' was terrific. He understood the the problem, informed me what they were going to do. Three men worked from 9:30 until 6; they cleaned up after themselves. I appreciated the process from start to finish.

By mid-day on the 4th of July, Sam and his crew were busy removing the tree branch from the roof (in the rain) and then patching the 5 holes with rubber roofing until the adjuster could look at the damage. Remarkably, they were able to remove the branch without any further damage to the roof or house. Sam provided me with pictures of the damage for the insurance company. I had called Ferrimy because of their ?A? rating on Angie?s list, and they definitely deserve it. Excellent work under adverse weather conditions and on the 4th of July!

Excellent experience. From the very initiation of contact with this company they were extremely responsive. They worked with our tight schedule to get the work done. The roof came out great. A single shingle was mislaid and they came out promptly to fix it. I have already been in touch with them about another project.

Service was excellent in all respects. I needed to get the work done quickly to prepare for selling my home. Sam responded to my request quickly and changed his schedule to accommodate my needs. He was able to start the job less than one week after I signed the contract. Most of the installation was accomplished in one very full day with a bit of preparation the day before and finishing the day after. Clean up was excellent. The dumpster was placed shortly before the project and removed the day after the project. Sam fully responded to all my questions and requests in a timely manner. I was very pleased with excellent work on short notice.

They replaced the gutters and repaired damage to our siding. Additionally, they replaced a portion of the roof. They are very talented. They are also very nice people. They always cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend.

Ferrimy construction did a fantastic job. This was a difficult project completed during harsh winter conditions. The owner Sam was exceptional with his communication and follow though on this project. We could not be happier with the quality of the work that was done. We are going to use them exclusively on any and all exterior projects we have going forward. In addition we have already booked them for the remodel on several kitchens and bathrooms. Will keep you posted on how that turns out. Overall very happy and highly recommended!!!!

We are very impressed with the prompt response, fair estimate, and immediate attention paid to fixing our damage. Sam and his staff were professional, attentive to detail and complete. Sam inspected final work before accepting payment. A completely positive experience all around.

Ferrimy came on a Saturday to fix our roof ridge vent that had been detached in high winds. Very responsive!

It went great and it was wonderful. What I liked about them is the really good communication, great scheduling and good materials.

Sam was professional and very quick to respond and come fix this piece, at a very reasonable price. He was also very honest about the state of my roof (it's old but could probably last a few more years, so didn't need fixing right away). I will definitely call them again for bigger jobs.

The work was done on time, and in budget. But they did not clean up very well. There were a lot of nails left on the roof and on the ground. The soffits pulled away a couple of times, but they were very responsive and returned to fix the issue.

I had ice dams which caused leaking into my house. I called in the morning and they were there in a few hours to shovel my roof and stop the leaking. They also followed up to make sure that the leaking had completely stopped. Then a week later when I was out of town during a snow storm, they stopped by my house to make sure everything was ok and that the roof did not have snow accumulating again. They even sent pictures via text! They were beyond helpful and professional! I plan on using them again whenever necessary.

We had Sam provide a basic roof inspection and replace a few shingles in 2011 and at that time he did tell us that our roof was nearing the end of its life span. When we decide last November to replace our roof we called Sam and he came out to the house, inspected the roof, provided samples of shingles and within 24hrs gave us a written estimate. His price was not the cheapest or the most expensive but we felt confident in his ability to provide us with excellent service and a top class product, and we were not disappointed. In no time at all Sam and his crew were at our house and within two days the old roof was off, new one on and the entire site looking as good as before. Sam even instructed his crew to redo some siding work I had done by another contractor, which he noticed had not been done correctly, at no extra charge. Its now March and we have had some wild weather; heavy rains, strong winds and a ton of snow and our new roof is perfect. We have found Sam to be a man with integrity and would without a second thought contract with him again for any future work our house may require.

He came out to give me a price on my roof, and I told him that he was on Angie's List, and I said that he had an F rating. He explained that the lady wanted 250 Dollars worth of work, and she wanted 20% off the 250, so he explained that, and then I said to him that I was getting 3 prices, and he said, just go with your gut. He was just a nice guy, he was walking around the yard, and he saw something, so he removed it. I said that was someone who was willing to go beyond. His guys were efficient, it turned out I had a leak in my roof, and he showed me, and explained to me. He was very attentive to what he was explaining, and he spoke in a nice manner.

I called Sam to describe the leak I was having coming from one of my bedroom windows. He said it was probably ice dam damage and that I should have all the heavy snow removed from roof. I mentioned that my gutters were full of ice but Sam assured me that the ice dam was being caused from the snow on the room and not the ice in the gutter. Once the snow was removed, the leak stopped. He provided very good service and came the next day as he said he would. Thanks for your help Sam.

While inspecting my roof, Sam was professional and clearly explained the work that needed to be done. His team also cleaned the windows on my three skylights with Windex. All of that was appreciated. The following was not appreciated: lack of follow-through taking six months to even appear appearing on his schedule- not mine not delivering any value for the coupon that I purchased

He was very nice. Because of the nature of the job, he couldn't work the whole 4 hours at a time. He had to come three times for the work. He was very accommodating and didn't mind that.

I called multiple companies for a gutter replacement. It was 50/50 someone would answer the phone and near impossible to schedule an appointment. The gutter industry is either the fastest growing market segment or the most disorganized. Very frustrating to deal with these companies. When I called Ferrimy Construction Sam answered the phone and scheduled an appointment immediately. He arrived on time and provided a quote within 48 hours. The price was fair and his team was on site in a week. They were professional and did a good job. I would hire Ferrimy again. Sam on

I closed on the house in mid-November. The inspection revealed a number of concerns about the integrity of the roof. With winter looming, we solicited multiple bids and Ferrimy was responsive to our request and met with us on a Saturday morning to discuss the work to be done. They understood why it was important to me that the issues be addressed before the winter started in earnest. The roof was installed in a little over one day and was in place for the first round of winter weather. The warranties they offer on their work were also the best we were offered. I strongly encourage you to contact them if you find yourself in the market for a roofing project.

Ferrimy did a thorough, quick and professional job with a partial roof replacement. They were quick in responding to my initial inquiry and provided a reasonable estimate. The repair work itself was top-notch. The only issue I had was a couple of lapses in communication that caused the job to take somewhat longer than expected. However, I was not pressing Ferrimy on this project. Once they committed to a date, they were there on time and completed the project in less than one day.

I called a number of contractors to obtain a bid for replacing the gutters and downspouts on our home. We purchased our home, last year, and it had horrible plastic/vinyl gutters that were cracking, sagging and on a clip system that had them placed too far past the roof edge. Rain would, literally, be flowing behind the gutters, instead of in them. Out of all the contractors, Sam Ferrimy was the most responsive and professional in getting back to me and getting a quote out to me in a timely manner. Some contractors failed to return my initial call. After accepting the quote, the work was scheduled, promptly. His crew was polite, professional and meticulous about their work and cleaning up after the job. I have nice aluminum, seamless gutters and downspouts now. I've delayed writing the review, until I could gauge how the gutter and downspouts were performing. Unfortunately, we haven't had rain for awhile, but I got my break checking them out during yesterday's rainstorm. The water is actually going into the gutters and down the downspouts properly. They are working beautifully, and I couldn't be more pleased.

After I left the initial message, I didn't hear back from Ferrimy for two weeks. Sam eventually called, came out to my house, and looked at the work needed - it's pretty minor in scope. He said he'd email me some dates and we'd be good to go. Fast forward three weeks - I never got an email, left Sam two messages, and haven't heard from him. I like to give service providers the benefit of the doubt, especially local folks, but I'm done chasing down people who say they'll provide a service and never respond. When someone says they'll do the work, I stop looking for another provider, and now that it's been nearly five weeks, I'll have to start the process over. Shame on me.
