On Top Roofing

Tim responded immediately to my Angie's List request for an estimate. This was in December of 2012. The weather was not conducive to re-roofing until the end of March. Tim was on site much of the time to supervise and answer any questions or concerns that we had. The crew was very hard working and completed the job in the time frame that Tim gave us. Tim followed up to be sure that we were satisfied with the job and the cleanup. He also made sure the dumpster was removed as arranged. There was a question about the warranty which Tim persued until he got a satisfactory answer. We were very happy with our experience working with Tim and On Top Roofing.

From the original estimate to the completion of the job, everything went extremely well. Tim Womer (project manager & owner) came out initially to provide the estimate and conduct a thorough walk around of the house/examine the roof. He showed us several samples of various shingles from different manufacturers and provided us a thorough documented estimated before he left. Tim contacted us a few days before the project was to begin (via email) to let us know that they would be starting soon and that materials & a dumpster would be dropped off. The start date, which was always weather dependent, was in the range of dates Tim initially estimated. Tim estimated it would take 1-2 days to do the complete job, but then surprised us with 2 crews showing up at the start of the job (approximately 14 guys). They were largely able to complete the job in 1 day, including a thorough clean-up. Tim didn't ask for any money up front, and in fact, we scheduled a mutual time to walk around the job a week later to make sure we were satisfied, at which time, we paid in full. In summary, we would highly recommend On Top Roofing and Tim. They were very professional from beginning to end!

I am a cautious consumer and have had a bad experience with a roof job in the past so I was guarded in my approach to this job. I had no previous knowledge of On Top Roofing before finding them on Angie's List. Tim worked with me through the complete procedure building my trust. The price that was agreed to never included a lot "if's ..." that might cause dramatic increases in price. Tim made a prediction about when he thought they could start the job and how long it would take. Both of these predictions proved to be accurate. His team were all very professional and polite. I am very satisfied with the job that was done and feel confident if any problems arise in the future they would be dealt with in the same professional manner.

This job went extremely well. Tim Womer (the owner) is a true class act and consummate professional who takes a tremendous amount of pride in his business and workmanship. His crew was great and Tim appeared frequently during the week long job to inspect the work. Our house is 123 years old, and from all estimations, probably had the original cedar shake roof plus 3 additional asphalt layers. His crew stripped all of it, re-decked it with new plywood and laid down a new roof. It was not an easy job. They also arranged a mason to repair our chimney at the same time and they did some additional exterior work while they were there. They even roofed my shed at no extra charge (maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that???) From the very first telephone call and email to Tim, down to the last call, conversation and emails, Tim was courteous, responsive and accommodating. He never seemed like he was in a rush during our on site conversations and always made sure that we were satisfied. I have already referred On Top Roofing to a family member and will continue to send people his way.

On Top was on top of my problem in no time. Tim (the owner) was the only one of several estimators who actually climbed up on the roof and gave an honest appraisal of the problem that didn't require a lot of work for his company or expense for us. His guys, Danny and Mike, were great. They did the job thoroughly and professionally, including more than originally expected. They cleaned up after and were friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommended for their honesty, quality and professionalism.

Tim, the project manager, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He came exactly on time (to the minute) and explained all of the details of the proposed repair. He struck me as extremely honest and upfront about everything, and he seemed very concerned about keeping our costs down while doing things right. As they were quite busy at the time, we had to wait a few weeks, but they started at the promised time and completed by the promised time. Tim was very easy to contact and kept me in the loop throughout the project. The quality of his crew's work was better than I expected. I don't think I'll ever have a problem with those doors and windows again. They also replaced parts of the trim that wasn't damaged to make sure all of the colors matched. And the crew stayed late on the last day to fix a light fixture that wasn't even part of the work order. They didn't ask for payment until they were completely finished and we were 100% satisfied. These guys are extremely professional, and I would recommend them to anybody who needs exterior work done.

Working with On Top Roofing was terrific! Tim Womer was the project manager and the individual to come out to give an estimate on the work we needed. As these projects were part of a home purchase negotiation Tim worked quickly to provide the estimate the very next day. Based on this promptness and other reviews on Angie's list we decided to go with On Top Roofing as the contractor to complete the work. We knew On Top Roofing was busy with other larger jobs, so we opted to have Tim get in touch when he could squeeze us in (we recognized we were a smaller job). Three weeks after the closing of our home the crew (4-5 guys) from On Top Roofing came out and completed the repairs. The job they did was completely professional and top notch. The window sill they installed looks as though it's been there since the original build of the addition. Both the window sill and the fix to the walkway roof-line required the removal of siding and installation of rain/ice barrier - something I was concerned about especially since we didn't have extra siding if it was broken in the process. It came out great and looks untouched as if no one was ever there. The porch roof replacement was fairly straightforward for pretty much any roofing company, but On Top Roofing still did a fantastic job. This roof is something we look out on from the master bedroom every morning and I feel confident the quality installation will allow us to get the full life out of the membrane. The crew arrived around 9 am and were completed & cleaned up by 3pm. In and out with no issues. "On Top" of all the quality work the best thing is that they came in Under the Original Estimate by about $200!! I will say it again.... Under the Estimate!! That's virtually unheard of this day and age. We know we'll be replacing the remaining roof on the home and a large barn in the next year or two and I have no doubts about who we'll be coming back to for this kind of major repair/replacement - On Top Roofing!

Great. From start to finish, were courteous and professional. Work was done on time and as promised.

As a result of Sandy, a tree fell in my driveway and part of it stuck the roof. I contacted On-top and they arrived at my home as promised. They inspected the roof and within a couple of days gave me a good estimate to send to the insurance company. The work has yet to be done.

We purchased this home late fall and had wanted to get an understanding on the condition of the roof, any repairs we should be concerned about and overall replacement estimates so we can budget this large project for a future date - we just had no idea what to expect. Tim came out and was the only roofer to actually get on our roof! He gave us his honest opinion, took pictures of areas to watch and provided estimates that seem right on target. No other roofer was interested in "diagnosing" our roof - more of a do you want a new roof or not attitude. Therefore, we will happily be using Tim in the future when our large roof needs replacement! I highly recommend this company!!!

These guys were top notch in every way. They came and pulled off our entire roof in one day, resheathing and shingling. One of the roofers accidentally put his foot through our roof and they spent an additional two days fixing it and repainting the ceiling free of charge. They also made a mistake cutting one of our wires and quickly paid for an electrician to come out to the house and fix everything. While he was there, the electrician also fixed a few related problems with this not affecting our original roofing quote at all. Tim asked for no money down and did not even call us to bill for a week after the work was done. The roof was done very well along with everything else we had agreed to in the quote. All the new pieces put up there look and work great (stacks). Overall, I would say these guys were fantastic. The price was competitive and in line with everyone else we had quotes for. Tim was very responsive throughout and easy to work with. They gave us a 10 year warranty on the work and a 50 year on the shingles. Judging from our experience, I would feel that Tim would honor that and cares very much about his work and making his customers happy.

Called Tim at On Top Roofing at 9:15 a.m. and he arrived at my house at 10:30 a.m the same morning. He went up on the roof and also went into the attic to see where the leak was coming from. He determined that the flange was installed on top of the shingle and therefore a leak developed around the pipe area. Solution was to replace a proper flange that would be installed underneath the shingles so a leak would not occur again. Tim had two of his people come to fix my problem on the same day. They arrived at 4:09 pm and left at 4:45 pm the same day. If I ever need my roof replaced, I would not hesitate on calling Tim. I have full confidence in him and his employees.

They were the third roofer who gave us a quote. I found them in Angie's List near the top of the list, indicating historically good ratings. I also was separately given their name from a friend whose neighbor had used On Top and was pleased with the service. They started the project exactly in the range of dates they originally predicted a month earlier when we agreed to do business with them. The project was quite messy as one might imagine but they did a very good job of cleaning up by day's end. On the second day they finished up the roofing work except for the electrical connections for the new fan. The electrical subcontractor came a week later to get the fan hooked up and working. The communication with the company was pretty good compared to my historical experiences in dealing with various contractors. They were able to make time commitments and follow through with them. Overall, i'm quite pleased with this.

The experience was great. Tim came out, gave us an estimate, helped to resolve a few open questions. Once we settled on a price, it took 2 or at most 3 weeks for him to fit us into his schedule. When he came to re-roof, he brought in 2 crews and 99% of the roof was done in one day and he finished up a few days later. All very seamless. Great experience.

Tim was prompt, professional and kind in every one of our interactions with him. He gave us an estimate right away after I contacted him and worked with both us and a friend who hired him at the same time to give us a very fair price on both jobs. He has a lot of guys working with him so they are able to get the job done quickly. They arrived on a Friday, worked through the weekend and were basically finished by late Sunday afternoon. A couple of guys came back later in the week to finish up the repair on our porch roof. The roof looks great. They did a fabulous job of cleaning up, too - we haven't found a single nail in the yard or on the driveway. The final price matched his estimate, even though they did some extra work. Tim visited many times while they were working to supervise the job. We would recommend him gladly and would hire him again.

I got 3 bids for our 2500 sq ft garrison colonial and Tim was one of them. I had read all of the reviews for him and was very impressed. When he came over he did not disappoint as he was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I hired him the next day and am so glad I did. He was going to start the end of October but called and said between the work and weather it would be pushed back a week or so. His crew came on Monday the 11th of November arriving 20 minutes before he estimated their arrival time of 8am. A crew of 6 was dispatched and went to work right away. They were all very friendly and worked very hard. Except for a lunch break of about 45 minutes, they never stopped and had the job done by 4 pm with the cleanup included! Amazing! The gutters and downspouts were installed the next day which took just part of the day to do. I cant say enough for the entire job that was done-very professional ,good quality materials, very reasonable price and extremely efficient. Highly recommend!

It was amaxzngly positive. Tim Womer showed up to gie us an estimate on repairing leaks in our old roof. He was low key, not pushy, and I was the one who raised the idea of replacing the roof. Everything was thoroughly professional. He came back with an estimate, we selected the shingles we wanted, and on an agreed-upon schedule, his roofers showed up. They cleaned up after each day's work, and everything happened precisely as he said it would. We thought this was the most professional contractor we had ever dealt with.

The job went well from start to finish. They responded immediately to my call, showed me why issues had arisen and leaks occurred, and corrected the problem quickly so my roof is now watertight and looks perfectly new.

From the quick response from our initial call to the flexibility of arranging the date for the installation, I was very impressed with their professionalism. Tim came out within a few days and was on the roof checking out the situation. Because of the height of the roof, I was unable to go up with him, so he took pictures and went over the issues he saw with me. The work was done promptly and the site was left clean. The only issue was that there was a leak after the first rain. I called and they came the next day to fix it without a question or argument. When I need a new roof in the next couple of years, I would not hesitate to have them do the job.
