I am very pleased with the workmanship and the quality of the materials. The owner is very conscientious and he does his best to provide good service and make his customers happy. He was very nice to deal with and I would recommend him.

Called to get an estimate to repair a shed roof which was installed under a deck. The roof was installed poorly and leaking through the rolled roof. The estimator took a look and immediately found other problems with the shed build and explained why a proper repair wouldn't be possible. Not what I wanted to hear but they were very professional and detailed in explaining the issues and why a proper repair would not be possible.

Tim at On Top Roofing was quick to respond to our request for an inspection after we found we had water coming in from around the chimney. While we were initially looking to just have the flashing replaced, my wife and I decided that we were concerned enough about the life left in the plywood that we wanted a roofing company to inspect. On Top Roofing came over and walked us through the integrity of the roof, showed us the delamination happening in the plywood, and presented us with varying options for fixing things: from just fixing the flashing to a complete roof replacement. What was nice was that there was zero pressure on getting the roof overhaul versus just fixing the flashing. On Top was equally willing to do either scenario and informed us that we had a few years left in the roof if we wanted to wait on replacing it. Ultimately we decided that we were more comfortable with replacing the whole roof. We got a formal quote from On Top, which included new plywood, new shingles, new flashing, adding a ridge vent, and clearing a path for the soffit vents, which were plugged by insulation. Tim dropped off shingle samples for us and once we finally decided on them, we scheduled a timeframe for the On Top team to do the work. Due to weather and an issue with their supplier being late on the delivery of the supplies for the work, the work ended up starting a day later than expected, but Tim did let us know about it and why, which wasn't an issue. The team showed up the next day just before 8am and worked pretty much straight through the day and into the evening to finish as much of the job as they could. They ended up getting the entire roof stripped, putting up all the new plywood and shingles and flashing, and only had to come back the next day to put our gutters back up. They cleaned our yard of debris and nails (one week later I still have not found a nail in our yard, and I've been looking) and by the time my wife and I got home after the second day we found no evidence that there had ever been workers there other than our brand new roof. Tim came by that following Saturday to do a walkthrough of what they did, to see what we felt about the job, and to collect payment. All in all, an excellent experience. We would definitely use On Top Roofing again, and actually may to update our gutters to match our new roof.

Everything went great with this provider. They were able to get the shed and house done in one day even though the shingles brought to the house was defective and had to be replaced, which caused a 2 hour delay. The men doing the install were very courteous and took special care not to damage the many shrubs and trees we have on the property. We would highly recommend this provider.

The installers removed the entire old roof shingles and fixed any areas that needed attention and in the same day installed the new roof shingles and cleaned up. By the end of the day you could not tell they were even there. All the roofing debris was removed and raked up. What we were left with was a great looking roof that is guaranteed to last 50 years. The owner was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave us the best deal for us and was willingly to work with our schedule. We were not inconvenienced at all and would highly recommend On Top Roofing.

From start to finish, my experience with these guys was outstanding. Tim is a very competent and professional guy, and did a great job of coordinating the project. The crew that came out did a fantastic job, and went to great lengths to make sure that the property was spotless when they were through. I got a great price given the 50 year architectural shingles that were installed. Angie's list was made to make sure that guys like these are rewarded for good work, and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Like most home owners, we've had our share of contractor nightmares, and were bracing ourselves for yet more problems. But working with Tim and his crew was the best experience imaginable. We received bids from two companies. The bid from the first company, which has also received high marks on Angieslist, was considerably higher in price, and while friendly, the company representative with whom we met did not show interest in examining roof from inside attic, just walked around the outside of the house and then provided a written quote a few days later. When we met with Tim, from On Top, he was very meticulous in his examination of the roofing situation, both inside and out. Further, given the fact that we frequently get ice dams, he suggested that his crew put down a 12' ice shield on the back roof (rather than the usual 6', as suggested by the representative from the other company), since that part of the roof faces North. We decided to go with Tim, due to his level of professionalism, his very friendly manner, and the more affordable pricing. In the days leading up to the work, he was exceedingly kind and patient in responding to numerous emails regarding our choice of roofing (in the end, we went with Certainteed Landmark, which--after much research on our part--seemed to be the most reliable and attractive choice, and we are thrilled with the result). We set a date and time to begin work, and at 8:00 a.m. sharp on that date, the crew (about 7 people total!), showed up and energetically began tearing off our old roof. In the course of their work, they replaced a great deal of rotted roof wood before beginning the new roof. These guys worked unbelievably hard, all day long, barely taking time for lunch. In addition to the exterior roofing, they removed all the old, disintegrating insulation from the attic, made some attic repairs, and put up some baffling for heat distribution. By the end of the day, more than half the work was done. They were all, without exception, friendly and professional. Before they left, they cleaned everything up, to the point where--if you didn't look at the roof--you wouldn't have guessed that any work was in progress on the property! At 8:00 a.m. the next morning, they were back, worked just as hard, and by the time they had finished the front roof, the gutter person showed up (also super-friendly and professional), as if by magic (in terms of timing). The guys finished the entire roof by around 3:00 p.m.; the gutters were done by 5:00 p.m., and the clean-up by both was spotless. Seriously, this company is "top-notch," and we can't recommend them highly enough.

Tim came out for the quote, went through my concerns, and recommended scheduling the repair when weather was warm enough to mitigate risk of damage to the vinyl siding (did the quote in February). One month or so later the weather was in the 30s+ and we were ready to go. A quick call to Tim and we scheduled the time window for the repair. A minor communication issue caused the first week to slip but Tim had his team out to the house the next week as promised and all repairs look good. The leaky window will have to wait a couple of storms to be sure but after first windy rain we seem OK. Anyhow, Tim followed up a few days later to check on the work. All in all, I wish all contractors were this responsive and delivered on commitments.

In the meantime, he will send me an estimate to replace the skylight and do the job properly. Tim certainly has my vote. Update 6/16: We never did receive an estimate despite a couple of phone calls and at least one e-mail over the course of a cople of weeks. My guess is that he just didn't want the job for one reason or another. I wish he had let me know directly instead of letting me hang for such a long time since I was juggling estimates from others. We ended up going with another company who did a very nice job,

Tim and his people were exceptional and replaced our roof during a very bad winter. They delivered on time and on budget and everything went smoothly. We had recently had our fence replaced and that contractor left several large tree branches in the yard. We were going to have to cut them up and wait until spring for the cleanup people to get rid of them but Tim quite willingly hauled them away for no extra charge. On Top Roofing was a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

This was the most pleasurable experiences we have ever had with a contractor of any kind. Tim was extremely responsive, genuine, and knowledgeable. While other roofers scratched their head at our dilemma, telling us they had never seen a roof this young in such disrepair, Tim was able to identify the product used on site and educated us about the class-action suit that was being waged against the company for the breakdown of it's organic compounds. Tim was very specific in our options. He offered different ways to approach the project, several reputable/warrantied shingles, and (despite being busy due to his well-deserved great reputation) made our job a priority due to the water damage we were getting in the house. His price was very competitive and was the lowest of all the quotes we had received. This was important to us as we not only hadn't anticipated this expense when we bought the house four years ago, we worried that the impressiveness of the foreclosure we had purchased might boost a contractor's price. We were just as happy with the crew that Tim set to work at our house. They were extremely polite, would turn down their radios when we were home, and the foreman would stop working whenever we entered or exited the house to assure our safety as well as to update us on progress and answer any questions. Most notably were the amount of "thank yous" we got from the crew. They would thank us for choosing to give them the work, and their faces and words were genuine. Ours was a big job. We have a 6000 square foot house. The crew not only kept the job site clean and safe, they worked quickly and diligently. They had done in 3 days what other roofers estimated would take a week or more. He met with us a few days *after* completion to go over the project and to assure we were completely satisfied with the work that had been done. My only regret is that I cannot give more than an "A" to On Top Roofing. We chose Tim Wormer's company to give us a quote based on a good friend's review. Tim himself won us over with his knowledge, direction, price, and--perhaps most notably in these times--kindness, zero-pressure, non-saleman/genuine personality and approach. We were extremely pleased with the *entire* process and were impressed with the hard working, polite crew he employs. He is clearly selective with who he employs and makes sure they represent his company well. Our job site was left completely free of debris, all moved deck furniture was put back into place, and the final product was so breathtaking that I would stop at the top of the driveway before descending just to enjoy the view. We no longer panic when Mother Nature sends a crazy New England storm our way, and we have On Top Roofing to thank for that peace of mind.

Tim Wormer, On Top Roofing?professional, on time with estimates, follow up meetings, work is thorough, reasonably priced and easy to deal with. We decided in late fall to replace a shake roof. Tim provided a rapid quote, brochures, subsequent shingle samples, and discussed all options, noting that he could begin shortly after Thanksgiving. We decided on a thicker shingle to provide a more shake like appearance and also to replace a skylight. With weather permitting his crew completed the project in two long days, with another partial day to complete the chimney, some minor items and clean up. Crews were professional and polite. We had a slight snow, and then the roof was clear, and I noted that there minor debris and coloring on the roof. Called Tim and the next day he sent a crew over to brush off the roof and take another magnetic sweep on the driveway to double sweep for nails. After that there still appeared to be stains, (from chimney dust). Tim said that should wash off, but since he was going to send a crew back in the spring to detail the yard, as with the winter and snow there might be debris that they hadn?t cleaned, he would also address any coloration issues. The good news is that we had a good rain, and the stain washed away. When I told him, although he was already paid for the job, he repeated his plan to have crew back in the spring to make sure the yard detailing was completed, and double check the chimney dust. Nice to deal with a contractor that wants to insure the customer is totally satisfied with his work. I would definitely recommend Tim Wormer and On Top Roofing.

The owner of the company was super guy to work with. He explained everything he was going to do and went over everything involved in the job. Once the roofing was done, he came out and did a thorough in inspection. The workers took about two days to complete the work and spent another day cleaning up. I am very happy with the work they did for me.

The work was performed in an outstanding manner from start to finish. I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in a roof replacement should contact ON TOP roofing.

Tim was fantastic. He gave me a price for the roof which was not the cheapest, but very reasonable. I went with his reputation on Angie's List which was excellent. Sometimes he takes a few days to answer email, but he always does. Did the job on time and pays attention to the most minute details. Good team to work with.

It went very well and this company is how all contractors should perform. I chose On Top roofing from Angies list and I was not disappointed. Tim the owner and all the crew every one of them are great people to work with. Tim is straight forward and is very fair in his pricing compaired to other contractors. He came twice to let us pick the color of the shingles. When they start a job...they bring enough people to do the job in a short window. They pick a time frame when the weather will be good. Some other contractors are short on people and sometimes do more than one job at a time, which really drags the job out. This company goes out of its way to do anything you ask. They fixed a couple of leaks in the gutters and filled a few holes in the chimney...no extra charge. They delivered the recycle bin on time and picked it up right after the job. Tim asks for no money up front and only asks for payment when done and your happy. What more could you ask for? The gutter job was little hard to complete correctly due to it being a new product, but Tim is very professional and takes the right steps to make it right. Working with the crew (Mike and Mike and Jake) was half the fun of having a new roof. They are courteous and fun to deal with. I cant say enough good things about this company and how they perform, only wish I had another roof to do.

On Top Roofing was great! They came on a Monday and removed the old chimney. You can't even tell we used to have a chimney there! They came back on Tuesday and Wednesday to complete the roof and on Thursday they installed the soffit ventilation. They cleaned up thoroughly each evening before they left and they took great care to make sure my yard stayed free of nails and debris. Tim, the project manager was fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend this company.

I ended up going with another company, but I agonized, because Tim was so clearly an impressive roofer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or hire him again.

They were on time, very personable, good workers, did a nice job, and cleaned up afterwards. Very good experience.

Workers arrived nice and early, completed the work and cleaned up after themselves. Although I did not look at the work afterwards, we do not have anymore leaks, so I guess they fixed the problems. Friendly crew, good service.
