I needed to paint the foyer and Great Room in my home and needed a pro due to the high ceilings. Alex and his crew did a great job! I didn't expect perfection, but wanted something that I would do myself, because I am VERY picky and have painted many other rooms in my home, without high ceilings. They exceeded my expectations! Prompt, hard working, pride in the quality of their work and eager to please me, the customer. I think my painting days are now over. I will hire them for ALL of my painting needs in the future!

As a detail-oriented home owner who aspires to perfection, I expect all aspects of a project to be completed to my satisfaction. I could NOT be more pleased with the professionalism, the craftmanship, the attention to detail, the arrive early, leave late in the day ethos, the go-the-extra mile work ethic of the experienced team at Gold Painting. From the thorough and prompt quote from the owner, Alex Silveira, to the unusually thorough and efficient work of team members Tony (project leader) and Rui (his brother), Nelci and Yuriel (his son), Hector, Milton and Sylvano, the painting project exceeded my high expectations. As is my practice, the vetting of Gold Painting revealed a highly reputable 15+year old company: an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (with glowing recent reviews), in-force copies of Liability and Workman's comp insurance, registration with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs, alignment with a prominent local developer (Finnegan) and a recent "Gold" standard review from a Lexington neighbor. Our historic pre-Civil War property required the TLC that the Gold Painting crew delivered. Minor carpentry (above and beyond expectations), thorough power-washing, scraping, priming (oil) and top coating (Sherwin Williams Duration latex), and meticulous clean-up. Both parts of the ambitious two-part project (front of the barn (rustic red) & street-facing side of the house (extreme white) + painting and hanging 13 solid wood shutters-satin black); driveway-facing side of the house that required covering many windows) + painting the front door were completed in just four days. As an unexpected but highly welcome bonus, Tony had Nelci and Milton paint the front porch decking. I solicited quotes from five contractors and my wife and I are more than delighted with the flawless result. We will hire the exceptional Gold Painting crew again in the Spring for additional carpentry and paint work. I look forward to working with them again!

I have had nothing but success when working with gold painting. They are on time, polite and able to keep a schedule. I have done both residential and larger commercial projects with them. If your looking for a painter that cares and pays attention to detail then these are your guys.

The two things that went really badly during the painting were that they sealed our windows during the beginning of the summer (I have never heard of this before) and removed our downspouts at the beginning of a phase of painting but did not re attach them at the end of every day. One day, we got heavy rains and our basement flooded. But the real issue started 2 years after they finished the job. Gold Painting has a 1 year warranty on their work and about 2 years after they finished, so in 2012, our paint started peeling badly. Now, in 2014, 4 years later, several sides of our house need repainting at a significant cost to us. I think it's reasonable to expect a paint job to last at least 6-8 years. I called the manager 3 weeks ago and acknowledged that the warranty was up but wanted to give him a chance to work with us to fix it reasonably. He told me that the previous painters (we moved in in 2009, and the house had not been painted for many years) had not prepped their paint job correctly so now Gold's paint job was suffering for their lack of quality work. Interestingly, our house was not peeling in 2009; we were interested in changing the color. Also, only sections of our house are peeling but whole sections. Obviously, one of Gold's employee's or contractor's was not paying attention to their work on certain days and did not scrape or sand enough and they can't admit to that. Now parts of our house look terrible. I would never use Gold's or recommend them at any price.

Juliano and his team were just excellent in all respects. The overall quality of the job was top-notch, they paid attention to the smallest detail and went above and beyond what we had initially asked them to do. My husband is very detail oriented and Juliano was always willing to patiently go over every request and fix the smallest of issues. They were punctual every morning for a 2 week job, started and finished the job on time, helped us do extras like hang paintings and were just polite and friendly and accommodating through the entire 2 weeks, something we didn't find with other contractors Update 1.5 yr later: I'm forced to change my review after dealing with paint related issues since we had the house done. The paint started to crack in corners all over the house within months after the painting was completed and no one ever replied to the multiple calls and messages we left. We also noticed smudges appearing on the walls and they were not easy to clean. We finally had another painter come in to fix the trim and repaint our bedroom and we saw the difference in how he sanded everything down properly first and took care to seal the cracks before painting over them. He also told us that previous painters had used a lower quality of paint (apparently Benjamin Moore has 2 types of paint) which would explain the stubborn smudges. The Gold Team had obviously not put in the time to properly do their work the first time around.
