I called him three times and it was the same story--"I will call you back to see when I can come." He never did.

Electricians arrived in very cold weaqther and upgraded ouytside service, which included moving meter from inside to exterior as required. ran into a problem and had National Grid come and replace main service line into home. no extra charge. Then they removed three old fuse based boxes and replaced with new breaker box. Then they ran a wire to opposite side of house and installed fittings and disconnect to allow a portable generator to be hooked into the entire house. There was a small glitch when they instyalled the 50 amp generator connector I requested, but i only purcxhaSED A 30 AMP generator! who knew hte connectors were different? Dennis resolved the issue with the proper cable and connectors at no charge!

This is the second job Capurso Electric did for our family. This one involved supplying and installing a large, whole house 17 Kw natural gas fired outdoor mounted and controlled system. They coordinated with Nstar to upgrade the gas meter, provided a plumber to modify the gas lines as needed, and supplied and installed a large fully automatic generator. The job went smoothly and works great. We are very very satisfied.

My overall experience was extremely satisfactory. Everyone (owner and 2 employees) was professional and well skilled. The work was done diligently and quickly. When I first called to set up an appointment, I was told that I would have to wait about 2 weeks. It was well worth the wait because I was very impressed with the workmanship. No unnecessary holes were made in the walls. In fact, no holes were made even though I was told by other electricians (when I asked for estimates) that they may be necessary. Dennis didn't have to come to the house for an estimate. I told him what I wanted to have done over the phone and he gave me an estimate that was within the scope, if not somewhat lower, than others. I would highly recommend him and look forward to using him in the near future for my other electrical needs.

I contacted Dennis as a result of an Angie's List promotion. I had been wanting to have my house wired for a generator since the ice storm back in 2008, but it's too easy to keep putting that one off! I contacted Dennis, and we exchanged e-mails, then photos of my breaker box, then phone calls. He always responded very promptly and I decided to have the work done. Dennis' solution is an Interlock kit. This means that I don't have to pick and choose circuits that I want to have "live" when I switch to generator power -- every circuit is "live". My breaker box is full, and Dennis knew that from the pictures. He piggybacked some of the breakers to make room for the Interlock connection. The Interlock solution includes the cable that runs from my generator to the receptacle. The cable had a 30 Amp connector at both ends. Dennis looked at my generator, saw that it has a 20 Amp output and changed the connector at the generator end to work with my generator. I wouldn't have even known to ask the question! The interlock solution is very safe and couldn't be easier to use -- it literally takes less than 5 minutes to roll the generator out of the garage, connect it up, and switch over to generator power! How do I know that? This past week we woke up one morning to a cold, dark house. The power had been off overnight for about 6 hours as a result of a local transformer failure. I connected the generator, turned on the coffee, and enjoyed heat, lights, and hot water in minutes. Best feeling ever! Dennis is a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating, and very knowledgeable. The work was done professionally, efficiently, and the area where he worked was left exactly as when he started. I highly recommend Dennis to anyone who needs electrical work done. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Dennis did a great job. He called within a couple of days of buying service off Angie's list, explained service and scheduled for the following week. Arrived as scheduled and performed the work as described courteously and professionally. Although I could not be home for the installation, Dennis extended all the same courtesies and professionalism to my wife which I appreciate. I would definitely use him again.

He was on time fair priced and did professional work that he obviously takes pride in.

Purchased the Interlock Kit 11/19/2012 and called Dennis the next day.He informed me that a picture of the electrical panel had to be sent to him (email) so he could order the correct interlock kit which I did immediately. I sent him an email a couple of days later asking him if there was anything else he needed from me,he informed me that the part was ordered and it would be about a week. On the afternoon of 12/18/2012 I received a call from Dennis asking if I was available that afternoon to meet him at my house so he could install the kit.Fearing that if I said I wasn't available to meet up with him and with winter closing in,I wanted to get that kit installed.I left work and met him at my house 30 min. later.He had another person helping him.The weather was icy that morning and he said he had some spare time and wanted to get it off of his list.Dennis showed me how the kit works and what is required for the generator to be activated when the power goes out. Parts cost, had to have been less than $250. I feel the labor cost was excessive and I should have done my homework. The Generac 5500 watt generator I purchased for $650 and he wanted over $1100 for the exact make and model. I knew I could purchase the generator cheaper but was not sure as to the cost of materials and amount of labor needed to install the kit.

Dennis was very prompt on returning our call and scheduled the needed work we requested. We had never hired an electrician before. Wayne, an employee of Dennis', arrived promptly and completed the repair/install in under an hour and half. I was able to ask questions to which he answered very cheerfully and looked at our fuse panel on my request to look at the possibility of adding a generator breaker panel which they staterd they, and Wayne personally, have had much experience constructing. Wayne stayed to answer all my questions and did not rush the job or to leave the house. He wanted to make certain I was satisfied with the work. A+++++++ for Dennis & Wayne. They are now our only electricians for future projects. Thank you guys!!!!!

excellent communications via phone and email with regular updates. all the work happened around Sandy but we never felt that a reschedule would happen. extremely punctual and professional and courteous. got the job done very nicely and left a clean site behind. Highly recommend to others to contact for estimates. Wll be using in the spring for some additional electrical work.

My electrical needs were several small jobs that had accumulated over time here. Dennis was extremely diligent to not leave anything undone and I was please to no end! He found problems I didn't know were there and as I know nothing about electrical, It was nice to know he gave things a complete looking over, avoiding future potential problems. Dennis was great to work with. We sent him an email describing what we needed to have done and he responded right away with a quote. He quoted a very fair price for the work when compared to some other companies we talked to. One company wanted to charge us $1200.00 to set up staging and install the fixture. Another company wanted $600.00 (including a $200.00 service call just to come to the house). Dennis assured me he could install the fixture using a ladder so we hired him to do the work. Scheduling the work was easy and he was very accommodating to our needs. Because of our schedule Dennis came out on a Saturday to install the lighting fixture. He was right on time and was quick and efficient with the install. He was also very diligent about setting up the work area to protect our floors and walls so they would not be damaged. He also helped us with our smoke detectors and didn't charge us any extra for his time. We were very happy dealing with Dennis and would certainly use him again if we needed an electrician and would recommend him to others.

Dennis answered my numerous questions and I was able to email him pictures of my property to help him give me an accurate estimate. He originally quoted me a price with an expansion box to hold the extra 60 AMP, but was able to move things around in my existing box to make room for the new circuit. This ended up saving me over $300. He and his assistant were punctual and did not take very long to finish the job. He and his assistant even helped me rotate the hot tub for me into a better location. I will definitely be hiring Dennis to do future electric work on my property again and HIGHLY recommend him.

Dennis was excellent all around! We were getting ready to sell our condo and the inspector gave us a list of changes we needed to make before the walkthrough. We were in a state, to say the least, with limited time and some specific electrical work to get done - quickly! He worked with our tight schedule and showed up on a Saturday morning to help us out. Best of all, he actually brought the three heater registers and a bathroom exhaust fan, just from some loose description of what needed to be done. What a pleasure to have him and his helper just show up and get to work. I figured we'd hop in the van and head to Lowe's to pick up the stuff once he got here and sized everything up. Anyway, they finished in less time than I thought and he charged me less than I anticipated for the heaters and fan. We would definitely have him work on our new place. In fact, I already plan to have him come and change fixtures once we get settled in. Polite, courteous, punctual and professional.

I called Dennis and he answered immediately, listened to what I wanted and then recommended an Interlock kit since it would allow any circuit in the house to be used and would be a better solution than using the older transfer switch and sub-panel method. Dennis had me send photos of my panel so that the correct kit could be ordered. Within a few days the kit arrived and he was out the next day to install it. The installation took about an hour and a half and worked flawlessly during the test run. Dennis walked me through the procedure for opening the main breakers on the power panel in order to disconnect from the grid, connecting the generator to the newly installed outside connector, powering up the generator and then closing the newly installed generator breaker that supplies power to the main panel. The whole process was simple, straight forward, easy.

Dennis was excellent. I'll definitely use him again in the future. He returned my call within 1/2 an hour of my inquiry message. He came out to review what I needed done within a week (and at 7am to accommodate my work schedule). Within a couple of days, Dennis provided me with a quote to install two outdoor sensor lights as well as a replacement timer switch. He was out to complete the job in less than a week after that. From beginning to end, call to completion was done in less than two weeks. Awesome!

Dennis and his crew were prompt, professional and kept all their commitments. I now call Dennis for all my electrical needs.

We had a great experience with Dennis. He came to our house about a week beforehand to evaluate what we wanted done. Dennis' price estimate given at this first visit was right on the money. He divided the work up into two parts--the new light switch ($150.00) and the rest of the jobs ($650.00). The light switch was separate because we all expected it would be difficult to install and would require ripping up a large section of a stairwell. He also separately priced a ceiling fan for our first floor bathroom which we decided not to install since we probably will have the whole bath remodeled later. Dennis said that he could come with an employee to do the work on Friday around 8:30 or 9:00. The only problem was that they were running late, but it was very nice that Dennis called us to warn that they wouldn't be here until around 11. They in fact showed up shortly before 11 and were done around 2 PM. Both he and his employee were very friendly, explained what they were doing, and tried to accommodate our wishes as best as they could. In particular, they figured out how to install the light switch without having to tear up the stairwell, which saved us a good chunk of money. They also took care to install the floodlight and new dining room light so that they were the most functional for us. They were very professional, and we will definitely call them again if we need additional electrical work done.

He checked everything out and saw there was just a switch that was turned off. He didn't charge me for coming out. I'm going to recommend him to other people. I rate him your top electrician.

My experience with Dennis Capurso Electric was fantastic. Dennis informed me he was sending one of his employees to do the work. His employee was polite and courteous. It was snowed the day the work was performed and the electrician was kind enough to remove his shoes and work in his socks so as not to track water and dirt into my home. He made thoughtful decisions during the installation and cleaned up well.

Perfectly; showed up when he said he would, with a partner. They installed a light fixture in the kitchen and den quickly, neatly, and professionally. When they left, there was nothing to clean up and the installation exceeded my expectations.

He was fast and friendly. Everything works great. He gave me the exact price over the phone ahead of time, and charged me that price. I definitely recommend this company.

After losing power after the October 29, 2011 snowstorm, I decided to purchase a generator. With doing so, I needed to have a way to hook up the generator to my electrical panel. In contacting, Dennis, he assured me that although he was extremely busy at that time, he would be able to help me in approximately three weeks. We connected again, he came to the house to decide what needed to be done and arranged to do the work. He and another electrician finished the job quickly and demonstrated how the system works. To my delight, the final price was less than the estimate.

They were very good. They were quick, punctual, cleaned, responsive, and interacted with me.
