The installation was excellent and the cabinetry itself was excellent so the end result was good. However, the company that I dealt with who got the cabinets and did the planning and all that, he screwed up so much stuff. For example, he put the wrong finish on all the cabinets so all the cabinets had to go back and be refinished. That was another 4 weeks or more. That was probably the worst. There were other things about his work but that was the biggest deal. They didn't finish up until September or October. The finish was the wrong color. It wasn't distressed like we asked. It's like an antiquing and none of that was done. When we were presented with the sample cabinet door, the color was right and we didn't scrutinize anything other than that. It's water under the bridge. It's done. The guy who did the carpentry was topnotch. He was excellent. The whole planning scheme was just stupid. There were so many little things like there were doors missing, and there were panels missing. I wanted a kind of a seating area that would hinge open. It was a corner seat built in and the top hinge open and he was going to use a regular birch plywood, and that was unfinished. I went bonkers on that. That was not going to happen so I had to go down and buy prefinished cherry ply which cost me another $500. They didn't send anybody back because I did it immediately. When I saw that, I said that isn't happening. I told them to stop everything. Thank God I was home that day. Whatever there was, I just did myself. I took the old kitchen out and all the wiring and plumbing. I took care of that. I did that so all they did was install the cabinets. My wife was all excited. It turned out exactly what we wanted, but it was enough of a battle to get there.
