Smooth, no problems with the work done. Staff requested photos be sent to give them an idea of what they needed to have on hand. (Great idea.) Only suggestion is that call backs to requests for service be made a little sooner.

I'm not sure who I spoke with but the first contact was extremely nice. Maybe the owner? I also needed an electrician and as promised he provided me with the name of one and called hours later to see if we had made contact. Nice follow-up-I really appreciated it. I wasn't here when the installation happened but my husband told me the tech was very nice and he planned to become friends with him on Xbox :) they were very upfront about the cost. No surprises. We found them on google reviews and I was pleased with the customer service and work! Thank you!

Let me first start out by saying that I am the homeowner and have many years of experience in the field of construction since I have been doing home maintenance, construction, carpentry and general construction for years since I was 16. This is why I chose to be my own General Contractor (G.C.) and not hire one. I was dealing directly with the owner for scheduling appointments and work to be done. I also currently work in the construction field and work with High End Residential clients who are extremely demanding and is a high-intensity job, so I know what has to get done to get the job done. At the beginning of the job everything was going fine. They showed up and were able to get all the demo, replumbing for gas line and pot filler done the first day as well as get the two exterior hoses connected. It was only during concurrent visits and discussions with the owner that things fell apart a bit. The blocking that was installed for the pot filler in a tight space was not secured properly. I found this out when I had to open up the wall in the bathroom to lower the pot filler pipe 2" as the faucet was too high and was hitting the microwave. As a result, I had to remove 4 very expensive glass tiles ($20/SF), which damaged the durock below and I also had to cut a large hole in the wall in the bathroom for access for the plumber to adjust the piping. It was only upon opening the wall up that I noticed that three of the four screws used had not even hit the studs. The fourth was only in the last 1/4" x 1/2" corner of the rear of the stud. The wall already had to be patched because the screws used popped through the plaster in the bathroom. It was only after I had to cut a 5" x 15" hole in the wall to adjust the pot filler that I noticed this. I ended up removing the blocking and replacing it myself with all stainless screws with nylock nuts and securely mounted it to the studs. Had I not done this myself, I don't believe that they would have fixed it correctly and I would have had to repair it myself anyway. When I was texting back and forth about the holes for access for the plumber (Already very annoyed about having to damage the walls), he joked about using a sledgehammer and TNT on my house. Granted this was a joke and he was probably trying to add levity to the situation, but it just further ****** me off since I was having to do this work after being at work for an 11hr day and he's joking about causing damage to my house. Just fixing the blocking and doing the additional prep to adjust the pot filler was about an additional four hours of work for me...not including having to patch the walls and repaint the whole bathroom. By the time it is all said and done, i will have had an additional 10-12hrs of work to fix this problem that was not planned on. Also, in my eyes, the contract he wrote for the amount he stated was not completed as quoted. He did not have the correct tile bits to drill glass tiles, so he could not finish mounting the pot filler on the wall. At this point, I was so fed up and just wanted the job done that I told him I would take care of it myself. When we were texting about this it almost seemed as if he did not even think of or want to offer that he go to any Home Depot or Lowes and buy glass tile bits to install it correctly as quoted. Other issues that arose due to communication were we discussed the process for finishing the pot filler installation. He wanted me to finish the tile prior to the pot filler being mounted and also described to me how to shut off the water and remove the plug, so he was asking me to do his job for him. I asked him to install the pot filler prior to my installing the tile so that i could line up the holes and drill the tiles prior to being installed. We agreed on this via text message and he told me he was going to come a few days later and so I left my house unlocked all day while I was at work. He decided not to show up to finish this and only texted me at 630 that night after I was already home from work and realized he had not come. This further delayed finishing the plumbing and allowing me to finish the tile. I also had to remind him to bring a shutoff valve as they had come unprepared with only one shut off valve and did not bring it the second time they came, so I wanted to make sure they had all the parts to finish the job the last day they showed up to finish the pot filler and everything else that was left. Overall I would say the plumbing work looks fine and have not had any problems with it since it was finished. However, my biggest gripe is with his methods of communication and failure to communicate in a timely manner so I was not leaving my house unlocked all day while at work. During one of our times that we were communicating via text, he told me "Boy, are you a difficult client." This is probably because he is used to working with clients who have hired a general contractor he is dealing with directly, and not with the homeowner. By the end of the job when he was asking me to pay the other 50% I had not paid yet, I tried to negotiate with him for all the additional work I had to do to fix his mistakes, and it basically sounded like he was whining when he started talking about the extra plumbing work he had to do for the gas line and the sink drain, which with two people here, I am guessing took a max of 1.5-2hrs since it was him and another employee who came to do all the work. The only thing he did keep to his word about was letting me deduct $40 for the new paint that I got for painting the bathroom to fix the hole in the wall. I decided it was not worth my time to try to negotiate any further with him just to save a few hundred dollars. I had more important things to do with my time like fixing all the holes in my walls and finish my kitchen. He followed up with me a couple of times via text to ask me to write this review, but I simply had not had time until now since I was trying to finish my kitchen renovation and deal with other subcontractors on top of working 50hrs/wk. I told him I would write the review over my break this week after one of his followup texts that I received at 6:39am the Thursday before Christmas. I understand him wanting to stay up to date on reviews, but having received multiple texts after I told him I would, especially this early in the morning, was just rude and unprofessional. Photos attached: IMG 3563 with the wood blocking was his original blocking that was not properly secured. IMG 3707 with the white blocking is the new blocking which i secured myself and screwed to the studs. The rest just show the holes in the walls and tiles removed to adjust this. As a result of the bad communication/jokes and deciding not to show up at my house like we had agreed after I left the house completely unlocked, this was the last straw. I cannot say that I will be using them again unless I absolutely have to for the 1yr warranty period for a repair. Nor will I recommend them to any of my friends, family or high-end clients as I would not want to expose them to the lack of professionalism that I dealt with from this company.
Description of Work: I hired them under a contract to perform the following services for my kitchen remodel: 1. Disconnect/reconnect kitchen sink/faucet/plumbing. 2. Install plumbing for pot filler. 3. Connect new dishwasher/disposal 4. Install two hose bib connections for exterior hose hookups with shutoff valves. Additional services performed not included in contract: Connecting shutoff valves for temporary connection for kitchen sink and a flex pipe with hose clamps for the drain. Also relocated/repiped gas line for stove to move closer to wall for new stove to fit properly.

It went well. Mark was assigned to the job and arrived promptly. He took a look at the valve and realized it was a different valve than expected. However, he keeps both types of valves on his truck so he was able to get it repaired quickly. He also made sure to cleanup thoroughly and double checked the main water shut-off as the valve is old.

I wrote a review on Yelp his response back to me was Bob ??? You can figure out the meaning of this. I had also asked him for a quote for heating system. I told him I was getting quotes from other plumbers, all he did was put the others down. I will never use him or recommend him again.

During the hottest week of the year my 26yr old central A/C died. Called Absolute. They were there the next day. At first it seemed list like just the motor needed service, but eventually it turned out the motor needed replacing. Thankfully it was "just" the motor. The replacement part had to be ordered, but that was no surprise given the age of my system. A couple of days later, my A/C was pumping out cold air again. I appreciate that Absolute was prompt on both appointments, and that they kept in touch with me regarding the status of the part order.

I called Wednesday morning and got a voicemail, so I left a message. They called back within 30 minutes and set up an appointment for first thing Thursday. Gavin, the plumber, arrived on time and inspected the problem and gave an estimate. He replaced the seal and showed where we may have issues with the waste piping in the future (they are cast iron as the house was built in the 1800's). Gavin was prompt, courteous and professional. I will use Absolute again.

The plumber from Absolute Precision Plumbing was terrific. He was professional, friendly, knowledgable--he really went beyond the call of duty to do the repair. He spent extra time to try and repair the hot water pressure in my house at no extra charge, which I greatly appreciated. He also gave us some great advice on future work to our heating system that Absolute can provide, which I will definitely take advantage of. All in all, this was a great experience. As an aside, I appreciated how fast and professional Ken was in returning my call, and scheduling the work. It's amazing that more small businesses do not attend to details like this, but Absolute does so very well. Thanks again for the great work.

I've used Angie's list for the last ~ 4 years and have come to realize that anyone highly rated on this service can be trusted. When my existing (18 year old) oil boiler started springing leaks in late Dec I immediately knew that i would likely need to have a new system installed because everything i'd read on the internet said that repairing a cast iron boiler would be a 50/50 proposition at best. And with a wife and two young girls i knew we didn't want to take a chance limping thru the Winter with a boiler on it's last legs. The problem was that we wanted to convert to natural gas, but we checked with our natural gas provider and already knew that they couldn't install a gas line to our house until Spring '16. SIGHHHH. We considered if we could limp thru the Winter with a crippled oil boiler for 5 months. Then I found the HIGHLY rated Ken and his company Absolute Precision on Angie's List. He not only had a TON of reviews, but often times the reviews were for an A rating. Not common in my experience using Angie's List in my particular area. I knew i should speak with him. I spoke with Ken on Monday, and he was at my house within a day to take a look at my situation. He immediately knew we needed to take action since my oil boiler was leaking ~ 15-20 gallons a day and the cast iron casing would be costly and hard to repair with certainty. Ken proposed we move to a new gas fired boiler, and that we could use propane as a fuel source to get us by until the Spring when we could run gas to our house. What a great idea. In the meantime, we had already consulted with someone who could replace our existing boiler with a new oil fired boiler, but we just knew we wanted to go to a gas fired boiler. After speaking with Ken for 30 minutes , my wife and I knew he was the man for the job. He emailed us a full and easy to understand quote by the next day, and we accepted that quote that night. To summarize: within 24 hours we had met with and committed to using Ken and Absolute Precision. In my experience that's an unheard of turnaround time to find someone you can trust in that short of time. From that point on, Ken communicated with us daily via email/text or phone to ensure we were coordinating all details necessary to get the job started on the mutually agreed upon date. Again, unheard of that you can get that sort of level of communication from a contractor BEFORE work has even started. Ken performed the full removal/install in two days, as we had discussed, and he walked us thru the entire process start to finish. 3 weeks later and we are tremendously satisfied with the entire process, most importantly Ken's professionalism and expertise. We will refer Ken and his company to anyone that asks.
Description of Work: Removal of existing oil burner system and installation of new gas fired wall hung boiler, hot water tank, all new piping/electrical/exhaust and intake, etc. etc. A complete job removal and install job, from start to finish.

Ken called me back within an hour or so of placing the call. Said he could have someone there around noon but had to schedule him for the next day since we had tickets to the 11:30 showing of Star Wars (some funny lines/scenes with Chewy and Hans). Randy and Dale were out the next day and replaced a faulty back flow preventer. Recommended separating / replacing auto feed since it was connected directly into back flow preventer. Randy was up front with the pricing. Showed me a list of job and cost he had on spreadsheet. Ken honored the 10% off coupon he has for first time Angie's list members so final cost was 10% lower than stated above. Would use Absolute Precision Plumbing, Heating and Cooling again.

On January 7, 2015 my 50+ year old gas burner stopped working about 8PM. It was the coldest night of the winter so far, about 0 degrees. Next morning I contacted Absolute Plumbing (Ken Roberts) and an associate plumber was here about an hour or so later! I could not believe how soon he got here it as it was a very busy night and morning for plumbers. He got the old burner working. Heat started to come up but because of the extremely cold night and age of the system, a baseboard section blew and spewed hot water in the dining room about an hour after the heat started up again. I called Absolute again and the plumber was back again in about an hour. Of course I paid for separately for the visits, but Absolute was extremely responsive both times! The associate and Ken and some other of Ken's men did a work around of that blown out baseboard and heat again was restored to the whole house. Next day I decided to replace the system entirely as I really had no choice. Three days later Ken and the crew started the replacement process. The new burner is a high efficiency Alpine and the hot water heater is a SuperStor Ultra. Ken and his employees installed the new system, left me with heat for the entire 4-5 days it took to install, then switched over seamlessly to the new system. They hauled away the huge old burner, the old pipes, pumps and water heater. etc. Had some trouble with the hot water system a few months later. Ken showed up, tinkered with it and all seemed to be well. Again this December I had trouble with getting enough hot water. Ken came again on December 18 and this time installed a whole new pump solely for the hot water! This was at his expense since the one year warranty was still in force and he honored it, of course. Ken and his crew are experienced and know their stuff. I would recommend them highly. May not be the cheapest but the response time and professional attitude and follow-through were great. This past summer they replaced the 10 foot section of cast iron baseboard that had given out in January. Ken matched a lower price I had received from a competitor as he said he would. Again, a very professional and clean job. Call them for quick response and a great job. Ken is especially nice and has a great sense of humor. Again, very pleased with Absolute.

Ken continued to follow up with me to make sure everything was working correctly and I couldn't be happier with the service that Ken and Mark provided to me. If they are this responsive on a Sunday morning, I can only imagine how fantastic they would be during normal business hours. I give this company two thumbs up and will use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: It was Sunday and our upstairs toilet stopped working.
