 + -1 moreTerrible!!! Still waiting for my backup or at least the new disc that I purchased.
Description of Work: I stopped using So. Shore Computer Repair because I was apparently too far down on their priority list. I waited for three months for John to show up at my office with no luck. When I left I asked for a copy of the final backup that he did on my computer system. John told me he only keeps backups for 30 days. I purchased a brand new hard drive and sent it down to John. That was four months ago. I have no backup and no disc. Would definitely not recommend

 + -1 moreFor weeks (or months) whenever I turned on my computer , after a couple of minutes it would freeze and a notice would come up saying "Entering Sleep Mode." Or I wouldn't even get the couple of minutes. A friend who teaches a computer lab at a NY university consulted with me on the phone. Nothing. An engineer who prides himself on his computer savvy sat down with it for about 2-1/2 hours and thought he'd fixed it. Not. Various other "experts" said "Hmmmmm....I've never seen that before." So for those weeks and months I was doing daily trips to use the computer at the local library. Then John came to the house from SSCR, sat down with it for a few minutes (like maybe 15), said "You've got a really bad virus which is preventing me from...(whatever)," and took it away. Within a week, he called to say it was fixed; he brought it back; and he re-installed it. He had warned me that I might lose my passwords. I didn't. Or my documents. Or anything. I'm using it to write these words . Bless him.
Description of Work: Restored my Windows 7 PC to working condition after months of being told by everyone else "You' ll have to buy a new one."

 + -1 moreAlthough John is always busy, he had my computer back to me very quickly, working the way it should with things neatly rearranged. And I got to visit with his dogs, always a pleasure!
Description of Work: John Neeley is one of Middleboro's best kept secrets! John always manages to un-do the creative things I've done to effect the best performance of a computer he actually set up for me -- without all the unnecessary bells & whistles, just what works and what I needed. And he always manages to explain things in simple terms, easily understood by a non-computer person, offered a lesson is improving camera performance .

 + -1 moreOne of the greatest things John did was to set up a new computer so that all I had to do was plug it in and turn it on! When computer geeks know what I don't know and make it simple, it's always appreciated.
Description of Work: Not only have John and his wife been a great asset to the Town, but John is simply a great computer guy! He's resolved problems with my computer I've successfully created and reduced frustration.
