Sachem Tree Service

Dennis's crew at Sachem Tree Service were courteous and friendly. They worked diligently and safely while cutting down a very tall & large tree that was too close to the back of our house. They completely removed all branches and logs from the tree cuttings. They also cleaned up all of the sawdust remnants. I highly recommend Sachem Tree Service to anyone needing this service. They cleaned up and it's like they were never even there, minus the tree.

They were professional, neat and timely. We would definitely use them again.

Mr. Lewoczko provided us with a written estimate of the proposed work, and once the work was completed, he provided a written invoice in the exact amount we had agreed upon. We had received other estimates from other contractors and his price was fair and comparable to the others. He had also provided us with a copy of his insurance policy that covers him to do tree work, and which we sent to our own home insurance company before we had the work done (I would advise anyone to ask for copies of contractors' policies before any kind of work is done and never assume someone will be covered for injury under your own policy). He and his crew arrived promptly on the agreed-upon date and stayed until the job was completed. They worked extremely hard, and were courteous and professional. We were quite happy to have that tree out of there and would hire Sachem Tree Service again should we need more tree removal work done in the future.

He came out for estimate to my daughters house and my house, for tree branch trimming, i,e, safety, branches that may come down near the house or driveway.He had no sketch pad or even paper to write down his opinion.I just wanted tree branches trimmed for safety. He started talking about taking whole trees down, that were not in the areas of the property I was worried about. That's when I realized he was trying to do more than I wanted or needed. He gave me no paperwork with his opinion. He scribbled on a piece of paper the price he quoted. He seemed to be making up the price as he went.We set a tentative date. He called me before the date to start, and said he needed to look at all the trees and properties again. I am assuming this was because nothing had been written down or any sketch drawn so he could not remember. I said no, fearing he was going again to inflate the project. He cancelled twice before starting the job. I canceled him and would not use him.Very unprofessional and unprepared.I truly had the feeling he had something in his life he wanted to buy, and was adjusting the cost of my job to fit some need. There was no base price for tree trimming...he made it up as he went. Felt very uncomfortable.

The crew showed up on time. Both gentlemen worked very diligently and made it look like the most simple and easy thing in the world to do. They cleaned the areas very well. They were very professional and efficient. They even did some extra work that was not in the original proposal at no extra charge.

They cleaned up after themselves and they were true to their word, whatever they said they were going to do they did. They were excellent. What had happened was a tree had come down, so in order to come out to my house they had to take care of that first, so they were late, but they called and when they arrived they worked through the night until the job was done and I thought that was well commended.
