Very impressed, we are in the middel of a move, and had to do some patching for the new owners, Jake was able to do it on a short notice, we have already made plans for two entire rooms to be done in the new house........ Jake either answered the phone, or returned "EVERY" call we made, very impressive. If you need work, give him a call.

Excellent communication pre and during job. Explained options and recommended best approach. Started and completed job on time. Excellent work. Left room neat and clean appearing as if they had never been there.

As my bathroom project suddenly accelerated in pace, I found myself in need of a plasterer fairly quickly. After seeing Jake's Angie's Listing, I called him. He answered on the second ring. I gave him a quick description of what I needed done and he agreed to stop by on his way home to give me an estimate. He showed up right when he said he would, and gave me what I felt was a very fair estimate. While I was showing him what we needed done, we also identified a section of the ceiling that was sagging (not sure how I'd never noticed it before), which I said I would try to shore up before he started... more on that later. He said he could start the next day and I gave him the job. The next day he called to let me know his morning job was running longer and that he could either start later that day, or come the following day. Taking the initiative to call me ahead of time and letting me know the situation scored Jake major points... it's a shame how few contractors do this!! I told Jake my tile guy would be there that night, so we agreed the following day would be best. Jake was running a just a little behind the following morning but texted me twice to let me know, and he arrived with his helper just a few minutes later than he promised. I'm a reasonable guy, life happens, and I don't mind waiting a little as long as I'm given the heads up. The aforementioned sagging ceiling was not able to be repaired to my satisfaction, so I asked Jake if he would be able to replace that in addition to the agreed-upon work. He quickly gave me the quote for the additional work, I accepted, and left for work. He called me as he was wrapping up the job that afternoon and I drove back tot he house to meet him. I was really very impressed with the workmanship. He and his guy did a terrific job! They had also done a great job laying down paper and throw cloths to protect the area. Their cleanup was thorough and they took all their trash out and put it in our dumpster. It's also worth mentioning that Jake and his helper were very personable guys and I had no qualms at all leaving them alone in my house. We had a pleasant chat before they left and my girlfriend commented on what a nice guy Jake is. I would and will absolutely recommend them to anybody who needs walls or ceilings coated.

Jake was responsive, communicative, clear about expectations, prompt, dependable, and professional. His work exceeded expectations -- when does that ever happen! This was an especially pleasing result because we had just come off a terrible year with a miserable contractor, and Jake has reinstated our trust in contracting professionals -- and humanity. Jake brought two workers with him, both of whom were skilled and swift. They protected our current house and kids from mess and danger, always cleaned up afterwards, and made sure the job was done right. Poor Jake threw out his back during the job, but did not let that stop him from getting it done right and on time. He hired an extra guy and struggled up the stairs to supervise, when he really should have been at the chiropractor! Jake is a rare individual -- does not make excuses, does the job right the first time, and supervises his workers appropriately. We highly recommend this consummate professional.

we requested 4 quotes and he was first to respond. He came out gave an estimate and approximately how long it would take. His quote and time frame was accurate and reasonable so we decided to go with him. Upon his arrival as planned he proceeded to start the job and took great pains not to be obtrusive and to make sure nothing was damaged or excessively dirty. He did the job within the eight hours as quoted and was quite professional in both work habits and attitude. When done he cleaned up and other than the fact that the ceiling was brand new and the stairway had no cracks you would not have known he was there. Jacob (Lewis) did a fine job and a few extras that my wife asked that were thrown in as part of the job. I would highly recommend him both for the fine work but also for the professional attitude that he displayed at all times. He was very easy to work with and did a very complete job.

Excellent job. The painters also commented that the drywall work was well done and professional. Workers arrived early and worked all day for two and a half days. Clean up was very well done. It was initially difficult to get in contact with the company for an estimate. It took several weeks for a call back. Once the estimate was received, the work proceeded immediately,

I called him on Monday night and luckily he had the day off on Tuesday and agreed to come and assess the space....he said that he could even do the work on Tuesday if I agreed....the next morning he was on time and he gave me an estimate for hanging blue board on two ceilings and plastering them to match the living room ceiling..... He did an excellent job and he was actually done ahead of schedule.....he cleaned up behind himself and he is a very hard working and likable person.... I was at work while he was working on my house and my neighbor checked in with him a couple of times......she said she overheard him talking with his helper when he didn't know she was standing there and he was a very thoughtful and caring boss.... I definitely would recommend Lewis Drywall and Plastering. Thank goodness for Angie's list that I discovered this company......

This guy was awesome. He was clean, reliable and did a great job. He returned my telephone calls and was here when he said he was going to be here. He has also done some commercial work for me which prompted me to use him in my own home.

Jake returned my calls in a very timely manner. When he came to give an estimate he was very informative and gave us his suggestions and input on fixing some of our issues. His work exceeded our expectations and he fixed an issue in the ceiling for us at the original price. We are very happy with his workmanship as well as his professionalism.

This is my second review of Jake Lewis's work. Because of a mistake that I made, I had to call Jake back to do some more work. He came out on a Saturday. Again, he worked the site to perfection. His work is SUPERB! Again he was personable and friendly. Again, I felt no sense of "Stranger In The House" that can be so difficult when one is having work done. He'll be back on Tuesday to sand the plaster. I highly recommend Jake for any hanging of board and plastering that anyone might need done. He's a perfectionist.

Mr. Lewis came to my home to give me an estimate. I was in the middle of pulling plywood up off the floor and still had some pieces to go. I am 67 years old. Jake said "Do you mind if I pull up a few pieces?" No, i didn't. He just about finished my work and for free. He had no assurance of getting this job - I didn't even have a price yet. But this act of kindness on his part and his all "A" rating on Angie's List clinched the deal for me. When he arrived yesterday morning at 9:00 AM to do the job he was on time. He didn't stop till he finished at 5:00 PM. The results of his work are beautiful. To top it all off his cleanup was meticulous and complete. Jake is very pleasant to be around and as he worked we swapped some family stories. It can be tense having a "stranger" in your home, but I never felt any of that with him here. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I can't say enough positive about this guy and his crew. He came out on a weekend to give an quote and was on the job on time as discussed. Fantastic and easy to work with - punctual, professional, great communication, honest, and sticks to his word. There was a small problem that developed and he was right back out on site - quickly - to solve it. The work looks great and the celing is like glass. I highly recommend Lewis Drywall.

The job was started two days after the supplies were delivered. We did hit a snag when we were away for a few days and the crew showed up to plaster and we had forgotten to turn the outside water on. Jake was very understanding and they returned a few days later and completed the job. Jake and his crew was very professional, prompt, and neat and did a great job. I would recommend them to a friend.

I was extremely happy with the work provided. I had a small plastering job to be done, and Jake was able to do the job on the same day I called him. His price was reasonable and Jake was personable and professional. The plastering came out beautiful and he left the work area very clean. Can't ask for more than that.

Jake had great communications through out the entire job. Came for the estimate on time, did the job when he said he would, the results came out great for a good price. He was always available by email. Got back to me quickly each time I tried to get a hold of him. He has a great attitude for a contractor.

The efficiency and quality was superb. They completed the work *ahead* of schedule and did not sacrifice quality. Jake also made a recommendation for a material removal option to help save us some money. Jake is professional, responsive, and personable! When unexpected costs came to pass, he was thoughtful and courteous. We highly recommend Jake and his team for anyone who has blueboard and plastering needs. I can only assume no project is too large or small for Jake and his crew!

Went very well. Estimates were done very quickly, work was started as soon as we were ready. The only unknown was whether the insulator was going to keep their committed date, and they did. Overall work took a week.

He was able to give me a general quote over the phone which was very helpful since I have never used a plasterer before. When he came to see the job to confirm the quote, he was actually able to do the job right then and there. It didn't take very long and he was even able to add on patching two other holes since he had extra plaster and didnt' just want to waste it if I had other things that needed help. I really liked that. Very personable and worked quickly but also explained what he was doing. He didn't even mind that my 4 and 2 year old acted as his cheering section in one room. I had to add on a wall skim to the project because of the way that my carpenter did his part of that job and Jake didn't even bat an eye at that. He did it right along with the ceiling. No additional charge which made me extremely happy! He was able to match the pattern on the ceiling which made me very happy. The job was done in just a few hours. I really liked that. I would recommend him to others.

Jake Lewis was very good about contact, arranging to come to our home, and gave an extremely fair and reasonable price. He also was here and performed the work the same day. All in under two hours, and he then LOWERED the final cost from the estimate for getting it finished that fast. We are very pleased with the project, and think that he did a great job. We highly recommend him.

Jake did a pretty good job and maintained a clean worksite. He also came in right on the price he quoted me. My wife was also happy with the project, which was great. I recommend him to others.

The timing from first contact through completed job was about a month. He sent me a written quote right away. I got another quote but decided to go with Lewis because he made a good first impression. The timeline was excellent and he was flexible with his start date. The rooms (20x20 and 5x10) were complete in 2 days.

Jake was wonderful to deal with from start to finish. He showed up on time to quote the job, provided a detailed quote in writing within a few days, answered all of our questions, and was able to get us on his schedule in the time-frame that we needed. Jake and his crew worked quickly and efficiently. They completed the job in the time promised, and the finished walls and ceilings look fantastic. Our project had a few challenging architectural areas, but Jake had no problem dealing with them. Our turret needed the blueboard and plaster to be applied to curved walls, and the crew had to find a way to work over the spiral stairway in the turret. The turret did not slow Jake and his crew down, and the finished product came out better than we could have ever imagined. The crew paid a lot of attention to the intersections of the flat to curved portions of the turret and they made sure that the transitions were seamless. The project also included a lofted area with many angles. The space that the crew had to work in was tight, but they paid attention to all of the angles in the ceiling of the loft, and the finished product looks fantastic. Jake was fantastic to deal with. He was communicative, very pleasant, and it was clear that he wanted to to a great job for us (and he did). I would highly recommend Lewis Drywall and Plaster.

Jake arrived for an estimate as scheduled, he priced the job fairly.The day the work started, Jake arrived right on time and started working right away, the drywall crew arrived a little later and they also went right to work, I was amazed to see how fast and acccurate this crew hung the blueboard, they finished and cleaned up in only 2 hours!Jake's plasterer arrived shortly after and also got right to work, he worked in a difficult position in the skylight shaft and did a great job. The next day the crew arrived and plastered the dining room, working together as a team they did the whole room in about 9 hours.They cleaned up and then Jake spent a few minutes telling me what to expect as the plaster dried, and how long to wait before painting (5 days). Overall this was a great experience, I would recommend them to anyone, and will use them again when I redo my family room.

Jake did a tremendous job. He was punctual and professional. He did a great job at a fair price. We would definitely use him again!
