From start to finish, working with Chuck was a great experience. He was at the property when I arrived 10 minutes before the appointed time and had already begun his work. He spent the next 3+ hours taking me through the house with a fine-tooth comb: explaining what he was seeing, pointing out areas of concern, and taking pictures of everything. He was incredibly thorough, taking the time to answer all my questions and making sure, at the end of the inspection, that I had no more questions to ask. He also emphasized his policy that, for as long as we own the home, we are welcome to call him with any questions that arise. That evening Chuck e-mailed a detailed 54-page report with pictures, ratings, information, and recommendations in the following categories: exterior, foundation, central heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical, interior, major appliances, attic, and wood-boring insects. (His standard report also includes garage/extra buildings, but there is no garage on the property we had inspected.) Again, his report was incredibly thorough, detailing in writing the concerns he'd noted during the inspection and his recommendations, and often including links to Web sites where we can find more information. Chuck also returned the following week for an inspection of a previously inaccessible area (a crawl space under an addition that had been sealed) and, since he wasn't able to enter the crawl space because of its size, he did a visual inspection from the opening at no additional charge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chuck to anyone looking for a home inspection. He knows what he's doing, has a ton of experience, and is happy to answer questions, which is exactly what a buyer needs for peace of mind in purchasing a home.
Description of Work: Standard non-invasive, visual inspection of a home we are purchasing.

Phenomenal! The inspection was incredibly thorough, detailed, and helpful both for the purpose of buying the house and for educating me about what being a responsible home owner entails. Chuck arrived on time, stayed longer than I'd anticipated, and was available by phone for follow up questions. This is a professional who takes pride in his work and does a fabulous job.
Description of Work: Charles ("Chuck") spent more than four hours inspecting every inch of the exterior and interior of the house. He made detailed notes and took many digital photos. He completed a lengthy report, which he put together in a binder for me at the end. He also emailed me the digital images. Chuck took his time going over everything and was also exceedingly patient explaining things to me. He also differentiated between items that I might address with the sellers during the negotiations, and others that I should address myself at a later date as part of the house maintenance.
