Came out the same day we called. He obviously knew what he was doing. Had all the proper tools. He tracked down the Freon leaked and fixed it. Great job!

Very well ! Jim is a true man of his words. Ever thing he said he would do was done . Jim is very professional, his crew is great. The grounds were all cleaned up nicely .

Fine job by experienced and personable employee, Tim. Initial estimate was made by owner, Jim, who noticed loose siding as well. At his request, Tim fixed this for free, even though it required an extra trip. Job done when promised, in good time, with a Veteran discount. Pleasure to do business with Beantown and will use them again for any repairs or construction.

Jim did a great job when he came out to do the estimate. He took the time to answer all of our questions giving us some of the pros and cons of different options and did not use any "hard sell" techniques. He stayed in touch with us prior to the actual work day to let us know of material and dumpster deliveries and weather status. A nice job was done replacing the trim boards prior to putting on the roof. The roofing team was experienced, sufficient in number, they worked expeditiously, protected the landscaping, and did a nice job cleaning up. Very pleased with the level of service provided from start to finish, the quality of the work done, and feel that we were dealt with in a fair manner.

As always, Beantown Home Improvement did an outstanding job. Our large roof took over 45 squares and was completed in just 1 day by the very large crew that arrived just after 7am and worked well into dark. No detail was left undone with Jim Delprete himself returning the following day to install several zinc strips that had been overlooked. A very thorough cleanup was done before the crew left. While Beantown's price was not the lowest, the quality of product and workmanship, and responsiveness to any requests makes it well worth it. This was the second large project Jim has done for us and we would not hesitate to call him the next time we need work done.

It was done in a day as promised. We contracted for the service in December and were told that it would not get done until spring (which was fine). They were able to do the job March 2, so they beat their own timeline.

I recently had Beantown reside my home. Jim DelPrete, the “face” of Beantown Home Improvements, is very knowledgeable, articulate, and professional. After listening to his presentation, I was amazed at how thorough he was in providing information. He was readily available by phone during the installation and made regular visits to the site to inspect progress. He was very easy to work with. I had three companies offer quotes for this job and Beantown was the highest bidder. Nevertheless, I chose them because of the 1) extremely organized written bid that documented everything, 2) the recommended blueskin insulation (I feel my home is totally insulated from any moisture), 3) the excitement and pride expressed by previous clients of Beantown whom I called for references, and most of all 4) the integrated J-Channel material offered only by Beantown that conceals all joints around windows and doors. Typically there is a visible J channel surrounding windows, which is aesthetically awkward looking. Once I saw the integrated channel work I knew this is what I wanted for my home! The crew that worked on my home was pleasant, communicative, and professional. Some of my impressions: • They were at my home by 7:30 am and left around 5:30/6:00 pm. • They worked hard – 10 hour days! • They were there every day until the installation was complete. • All debris was cleaned up EVERY DAY. • They seemed to be proud of their work. • They finished the project several days early. Yes, I paid a bit more for this higher quality. I typically have “buyers remorse” on these types of projects. This time, however, I was truly excited with the final result and so pleased that I chose to pay a little more for this high quality result! I’m sure the other companies would have done a good job as well, but it would only have been just a job. This quality is a result of the PROCESSES used in the application of materials. The extra touches Beantown provided (ie. new electrical outlets, new dryer/exhaust vent hoods, lighting fixtures, gutters) made the difference between “just a job” and an aesthetic enhancement of my home! I am so excited and proud of the way my home looks!!! I highly recommend Beantown without any reservations!

They said what they were going to do and did it! Jim Deplete was the most professional contractor that I have ever worked with and I GC'd my house almost 20 years ago.

The company was excellent. They were efficient on time, punctual each day, professional and clean. Jim (Business general contractor) was very responsive to calls. He relayed the messags to his contractors immediately. Material used is better than most. Lots of available options right down to the color of vinyl for vents and outdoor outlets, etc. Only cons were the company was the highest estimate, but were chosen due to their upfront honesty and detailed estimate. Also included finished work around custom sized skylights. Other companies were unable to provide availability of skylight size or interior finish work. Second con was some options mentioned weren't presented, such as exterior vinyl window trim the company provides two options and was stated would be shown on day of install but it did not occur. Overall very satisfied! Highly recommend!

Beantown services were excellent, professional from their initial visit, to the clean up of my property. I'm very pleased with the fit and finish of the vinyl. It will be interesting to see how the house performs with the cold weather approaching. All in all, the team at Beantown did a fine job on my home. I am really impressed with Dave's attention to the details. I feel it makes the project "pop." It's been a good experience. Project priced as quoted, and no surprises. BeanTown's prices are higher than their competition, but their service is excellent.

They were very professional, polite and did a great job. They explained everything they were going to do and when the job was completed, our yard was left in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend Beantown Home Improvement.

They were punctual and completed the entire project in less than 1 week. Quality of work was great and they cleaned up and left nothing. I love the results.

This project was done with a brick exterior so the dimensions were fixed. Outstanding workmanship by Jim and his team! I watched the whole installation and was impressed with how they worked so well together - like it was choreographed. Very efficient. The most impressive aspect though was that Jim was the ultimate communicator all along the way, from the initial scheduling to the actual days on site. He knows the homeowner has a life to manage too, and how important it is to communicate And deliver. He gets an A+ for this. Also, he's a nit picker on cleanliness throughout the project - inside and out. Can't say anything bad about the whole process. Awesome job by Jim and his team! We would hire them back with no hesitation!

My wife and I needed vinyl siding installed, and after talking with Jim (the owner) we decided to go with Beantown Home Improvement. We received two other estimates from two other companies, but decided to go with Beantown. They showed up on time (or early) every day, finished the work early, and were very professional throughout the process. It was easy to contact them with any questions, and we always received a quick reply. I would recommend them for anyone interested in having vinyl siding installed.

Beantown was professional in appearance and presentation. On the day of the estimate I was provided a comprehensive package of materials that included brochures of the materials to be used, shingle color charts, names and addresses of references to call and all his insurance certificates. I was given a "Firm Quote" before he left that was very well detailed of the work to be done and cost. Beantown was the ONLY ONE who did this out of four (4) estimates. On the day of the job they were punctual and organized. Being one of the hottest days this summer, this crew worked right along and were very pleasant. When the job was completed we were so pleased. The clean up was meticulous and their efforts to be neat throughout was very much appreciated. Beantown's workmanship lived up to their presentation and we can't be happier!

Jim came and gave me an estimate which was more than fair for the work being done (we had 3 other estimates, some higher and some lower). The crew was professional and extremely courteous and a pleasure to work with. They were done in a day and cleaned up after themselves well. Jim, himself, is an extremely nice guy. Very honest, great responsiveness and just an all around professional and kind person. He was great with my 4 year old, as well. He gave us a quote for a new roof back in September of 2015 and I really liked him then. Unfortunately, we went with someone else only because they were recommended by a friend and I regret it to this day. I should've went with Jim. So when we needed new windows, I immediately contacted him. We are extremely happy with the work his crew did. There was a hiccup with some exterior caulk (a slightly bubbling from the foam insulation) and I alerted Jim. He was out the very next day and took care of it. The windows look terrific and work great. I wish all of our home improvements would go this easy. I would use Jim and his crew at Beantown Home Improvements again in a heartbeat. I'm thinking interior doors next... ;)

We had a fantastic experience. The crew showed up when they said they would, worked very hard all day in miserably hot weather, were quiet and very friendly. The workmanship was amazing. It cost exactly what they said it would, even with added touches we weren't expecting. The project finished up ahead of schedule which we also weren't expecting. Overall, I highly recommend this company. Ask to work with Abe - he is a perfectionist!

We are very pleased with the presentation and services provided by Beantown Home Improvements Inc., owned and operated by Mr. Delprete. When Mr Delprete met to provide an estimate, he was very thorough, and had a complete package with samples of all products he would install on our roof. He also had all up-to-date licenses, which you would be surprised that other contractors did not. He called in advance to set up a convenient date to do the work. The day arrived and he and the team began by covering everything prior to stripping the roof. They completed the roof on the house, garage and shed all in one day. They cleaned up the entire area and picked up and nails etc. We would have them back to do more work on our house anytime.

Jim did a fantastic job. From start to finish he was considerate of us and his work was impeccable. He was punctual and did a great job cleaning up after the job was complete. Highly recommend and will hire again.

OUTSTANDING!!! Beantown Company from Halifax ,MA Jim the owner and manager is a real professional, after 5 estimates and promises of great job for great price, I was still not sure which one to pick, and I called two more, when we met Jim from Beantown both my husband wanted to save money, and I were impressed; his presentation and all the materials used and presentation. We could tell he was a person that knew what he was doing and truthful went with my gut and was not disappointed. Everything he said they do it was done. the reason I haven't done a review until now and I feel bad, because I do look for reviews to eliminate hiring the wrong company. And I also am aware that people often do reviews when things go wrong and they are upset. The reason I didn’t do a review until now is that now is because my husband passed away with stage IV bladder cancer on 12/16/2015 4 days after Bentown installed our roof. And it has been very hard to go on without him, being together for 41 years and within 4 months of diagnosis he was gone. I am sorry to bring my personal life into the review, but I felt I owed Angie’s members an explanation for this delay because it is in everyone's best interest to have work done by good companies. And now I am back looking to have some work done and I started reading reviews. I felt I must do my part I can’t just serve myself from other reviews . I must do my part. Jim had a complete folder with his business information, licenses, insurance etc, and he had a sample of all the different materials that he uses on the roof, and the only one that didn’t have a deal with the shingle company’s as all the others. He uses another type , I forget now and with the great warranty and additional ones. I apologize for not having the names but if I get up I will get sidetrack, I started yesterday and didn’t do it. . Jim said all years that he has been working on roofs his estimate price had never changed. In the mean time my husband started not feeling good and we started to make appointments and that became a priority and August he was diagnosed with cancer admitted for 2 and half months, and In October my daughter knowing we had to get the roof done because of another winter on the way and my husband coming home we could not take a chance with the same roof. When she called Jim he had a back log and so didn’t other roofers, but I kept focused on the Beantown, and my daughter compared the prices with the others and beantown wasn't the most expensive because the others didn’t have the quality materials and warranties and the type of shingle as Beantown, so he said that if weather permitted he could do it in the middle of December , but they had other roofs ahead of us. We waited and hoped for, my husband came home December 5th and we were worried about the noise but my husband wanted dons were here, Jim called my daughter to confirm the starting date and told her the number of days etc. She discussed with him my husband situation and the noise, etc. The day before the dumpster was delivered, they were here half hour before the time allowed by the town to start work, they prepared the place, including taking some stuff out of the area like the deck, etc because I was busy with my husband and didn’t think they were going to be here so early, they worked on the opposite side of the house to leave the area where my husband was the family room for last, and they did and were very considered , They planned for 2 or 3 days depending on the weather, was good weather but they worked the 3 days morning until night, (cedar roof takes longer then regular asphalt, and the house is high and big.) They cleaned up everything. You could not tell that anyone had been working for 3 days, the dumpster company came the next morning to get the dumpster . On Sunday the kids and some friends went outside to put some lights around the bushes because my husband was going to Dana Farber in the ambulance on Monday and would like to see the xmas lights when we got back from the hospital, They were specific looking for any nails if had fallen in the area that they were walking and found none. He had mentioned the special warranty comes from the company and usually takes 2 to 3 weeks after the job is done . We did receive the warranty as mentioned, and Beantown sent a thank you card right after the job was done, I apologize for the long review but I can't say enough good things about the company and again, I apologize for the long review and the timing. Was delayed in starting project, expected it to be started in July, but was not started until late September. Kept us fully informed when his 'regular' drywall guy became unavailable to do the drywall repairs. Did provide another person to do the work. It is clear now looking at the ceiling sections that were replaced that that they were patched. The person who did the ceiling paint used wall paint rather than ceiling paint, didn't realize this until after the job was done, would have preferred ceiling paint. All the people in his crew were pleasant and seemed to know what they were doing.
