After 16 years in our home it was time for to replace our old deck. We knew we wanted azek decking so we did some research and got several estimates. The quotes, knowledge and overall professionalism varied greatly. However, Beantown Home Improvements was the easy choice. They were not the lowest estimate but the price was fair. We knew from our interactions with the owner that we would be getting a quality product. Jim’s knowledge and professionalism stood out among all the other contractors. We put a deposit down and Jim penciled us in. To our surprise, the crew started the job on the day we had been penciled in. That never happens! The crew was fantastic. They were always on time, kept us informed of their schedule and picked up after themselves. We couldn’t be happier with our new deck and highly recommend Beantown Home Improvements!

Perfect! Jim and the Beantown crew came for an emergency roof repair after a large tree fell on our roof and partially in the attic. Jim was clear and honest about what needed to be done, informed us about any additional issues he ran into (the home is 100 years old), and took care of everything in time for another Nor'easter coming the next day. Amazing professionalism and craftsmanship, I would have paid twice what he charged.

Due to this past storm I lost a couple shingles on my roof. Beantown was able to answer me quickly, and get a crew out the very next day to make the repairs before the next snow storm. This is the second time they have done work on my house, and both times I could not have had a better experience. I will certainly be using them for any further repairs I need at my house.

Start to finish it all went well. Jim responded promptly to my first inquiry for the project and for every emailed question thereafter. I was impressed by his honest, realistic scheduling of both the estimate assessment and the actual job. It's tough to know when work can take place during the fickle weather of New England. Jim gave a projected start date of March, but a two day window of sunny, dry weather opened up in February and Jim quickly took advantage of the opportunity. I was greatly appreciative of the promptness of Jim and his crew. They arrived on time and worked feverishly to get the job done in 2 days. His crew was neat, pleasant and very respectful. When I first received the estimate for the job, I felt it was on the high side. Checking reviews, my thoughts were confirmed. You will pay close to top dollar, but I found the quality, efficiency and dependability to be worth every penny. I also liked the fact that after the job was completed and paid, when I had a question regarding the gutter repair Jim came out the next day to have a look and make a minor adjustment to address my concerns. So, kudos for taking pride in the work performed and striving for great customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Beantown Home Improvement. I also like that I could give my business to a local contractor.

Excellent experience with Beantown Home Improvements, James was the first person to call, he immediately set up a time that was convenient for both of us, to check what work needed to be done and gave me an estimate not long thereafter, he was punctual and prepared and easy to work with. James and his construction crew were very professional, very respectfull and kind people. They listened to my concerns and answered all questions I had. His crew did an excellent job, all very pleasant and very professional. I'm extremely pleased with the new sliding kitchen door and with the siding job they did for me. I highly recommend this company, and I will consider them again for future work.

Jim and his crew did a fantastic job, he was extremely responsive throughout the entire quotation and installation process, any time I called he answered or returned the call extremely quickly. Jim and his crew use great material and don't cut corners. I look forward to working with him for siding and windows this spring, couldn't recommend a company in this area more strongly than Beantown Home Improvements.

Amazing, Beantown home improvements went above and beyond expectations!

We needed our back rubber roof replaced so I searched Angie's list for the highest rated companies. Jim and Janice were very responsive and professional which made working with Beantown Home Improvements very easy. We had another company come out too to compare estimates but we felt they were trying to have us get work done that we didn't actually need and their estimate was more as well. We decided to book with Beantown and they were out within about 1.5 weeks and the job was done quickly. I'd definitely recommend this company, I think their customers are very important to them and honestly you don't find that all the time.

It went beautifully. Everything from the initial estimate to completion of the new roof was beyond expectations. All my concerns were discussed in detail prior to installation and alleviated all my fears. The Beantown crew was extremely professional, helpful, and knew exactly what had to be done. They performed as a 'well-oiled machine'. The materials were first-class. After completion, they cleaned up so well that no one would even know they were there. I highly recommend them for any home improvement needs.

Once the work began,everything appeared to fall into place. The crews were always on time and cleaned up every day.I observed some issues with the interior window trim which was immediately brought to Jim's attention and corrected to my satisfaction. It was a huge undertaking having all of this work done at one time and it caused moments of anxiety for my wife and I. During our work, being able to directly communicate with Jim helped alleviate some of our anxiousness allowing for reasonable solutions. I informed Jim that when we first met I was impressed with him and that when the job was completed I wanted to have the same opinion. Well, I do!!!

Jim and his crew are fabulous! Their work is excellent. I'm extremely fussey and so are they. Job was done promptly. They cleaned up everything ( you wouldn't have known they were here). Excellent. Jim and his crew arrived on the date as scheduled, and immediately started to work installing tarps along roof line etc. While that was being done other crew members started to strip old roof, and Jim and his assistant started to prepare the installation of trim board along the roof line. Jim and his crew worked like a well oiled machine, and while stripping the old roof kept the job site very clean. Upon completion of the work they cleaned up all debris and swept lawn with magnetic nail sweep to pick up and nails. Jim and his crew were excellent and I would hire again in an instant.

The price was affordable and when the crews came to do their work....well worth the price. Both crews, roof and windows, were professional and pleasant to deal with. Very clean and orderly site was maintained. Super nice personnel in all areas of the company.

It went beautifully. Beantown stripped my old roof and installed an Owens Corning 50 year roof. They then stripped my old shingles and trim and installed Certainteed Cedar Impressions siding and trim, and installed new gutters as well as replaced my aging bulkhead and even fixed a bulkhead stair for me. Jim is extraordinarily responsive and organized. Communication was fantastic and he patiently answered any question I had. Beantown does quality work and is worth every penny. The crews worked hard, and cleaned up beautifully at the end of each work day. I couldn't be happier.

A few days after the job was completed and final payment was made, I emailed Jim about very minor concern and someone was here within two hours! So he certainly stands behind the work. Finishing the basement was always on our “to do list” ever since my wife and I built the house 3 years ago. We wanted the basement to have the same design flow as the main house while still being functional and practical. I always wanted a dedicated area for a movie theater while my wife required space to entertain guests and wanted to add another full bathroom. Beantown Home Improvements, Inc. was one of the five general contractors we reached out to bid on the basement remodeling project. From the very beginning, Jim DelPrete (Owner) of Beantown Home Improvements stood out from his peers in terms of being courteous, respectful, overall speed of responses, detailed/well written proposal, and willingness to work with the customer. He genuinely took interest in our ideas, gave honest and constructive feedback on what may or may not work. Not once did he shy away from revising the initial proposal as the scope of the project changed based on our discussions. In fact, by the time we signed off on the contact, Jim was already on version 4 of the proposal. Once the work started, he kept us appraised on what to expect every week, and demonstrated excellent project management skills. From Day 1, Jim worked hand and hand with his crew, who undoubtedly share his excellent values. With any project, there is always a possibility of last minute changes. Given the fact that I’m very particular about how things turn out in the end, not once did Jim push back on my inquiries, or let my silly questions impact his overall demeanor. He would always respond to my texts, calls, or emails promptly. Jim handled this project in a very creative manner, and had an eye for perfection. I’ll let the before and after pictures speak for themselves. I will hire Jim and his team again in the future for all home improvement projects. Hands down, he sets the benchmark high for the competition.

I thought he was expensive, and I really didn't like the terms of his agreement. Although he had good reviews, I was not impressed. The punctuality was fine. Based on the owner that came out and his personality, I was not impressed.
