In this case I was just calling them back to change the cover on one of the pipes (we'd had the decks fixed and suddenly we had some exposed hoses). The workman make sure that the cover was as perfectly placed as possible, no small feat over a crooked hose, and I felt very satisfied with the quality of this small job.

Unfortunetely those ideas did not work. Jonathan arrived on the day I called Air Doctor. He installed a new thermostat and it began working immediately. He looked at my filter to make sure it was OK. He was pleasant and professional.

They were professional, laid down cloth so as not to track mud in the house, prompt and did a great job. We are thrilled with the air con/heating system.

Description of Work: I can't say enough about this company. They were fantastic. We had just moved to Boston, and needed central air installed in our house. It was a big and very difficult job. Our house is one of the old tudor houses in Belmont, built in 1928, and the amount of concrete and misplaced walls they had to cut through/work around was substantial. These guys actually came in a few thousand higher than the company we originally were going to go with, but after hearing their "plan of attack," we felt AirDoctor would do a better job than the other company. So, we forked over a little extra with high expectations. I'm always a bit skeptical and mistrusting of contractors, so I was holding my breath and hoping we made the right call. Not only was every vent cut to perfection, but Paul and his crew carefully placed each HVAC duct so that it wouldn't compromise the integrity of the house and would stay out of the way. If you know anything about HVAC installation, you know that this can be the greatest challenge. At least two vents were cut in every room in our house to create a nice "cross vent," and the air conditioning works beautifully. The amount of extra work it took to cut all of those extra vents is amazing. (AirDoctor uses very high quality equipment...Trane, etc...even right down to the type of vents in the ceiling/walls.) Paul's crew worked their tails off every day until the job was finished. We lived with the air at 68 degrees for a week in July just to test out the strength of the system. (I'm from Atlanta, so my house must feel like a refrigerator in the summertime.) One other thing I will add is that much more work/more sophisticated equipment was needed than originally budgeted for by Paul (the owner). Paul never asked us for more money. He told us from the beginning that "his price is his price" no matter what, and he stuck to it. I can't imagine what would have happened if we had gone with another company. It's rare to find HVAC guys worth their weight in salt, much less a company with the kind of integrity these guys have. We will never use another HVAC company as long as we are in Boston!

+ -1 moreLike a lot of homeowners lately have had to experience, a lot of contractors, workers, etc drop the ball or simply never contact you back. I dealt with this a lot when building my home or making improvements over the last 4 years. I'm very happy to say Air Doctor is a breath of fresh air!! (no pun intended) They came to my house ON TIME for the initial estimate on a Friday morning and were on time again Monday to do the install. It's a humidifier so it's never going to be a work of art but the install was very clean. They went beyond even what I would consider my insanely high standards to do an install to hide almost every single wire or seam you could imagine. Heck it even took them less time to do the job then they told me and nicely cleaned up the area when they were done. If you need to find a good heating/air company or simply can't stand your current one don't hesitate to contact these guys. I will happily call them in the future for any other needs I will have.

This company's quote was a little higher, but reasonable. I chose them knowing Jonathan was going to be onsite and not farm the job out to another crew. I also try to stick with local contractors, so I liked that the company is family owned with the sons all part of the installation crew. I was very impressed with the workmanship and would definitely recommend them.

He gave me his recommendations and then let me choose what I wanted to install. The installation process took 2 days and it went very well. They came out and were able to fix the problem in about an hour for $200 and it of course did not involve a new furnace. That was 3 months ago. They just came out again when we were having another issue and again were able to fix it quickly and for a low cost. Family owned and operated, great service.

They took great care to keep the house as clean as possible and had the good sense to store the equipment in the garage overnight to be installed the next day. The job was completed the second day and Jonathan took time to explain how the system operates and to make sure that all of my questions were answered. It was also a pleasure to meet his father and I felt very confident that the job was done professionally and properly. I provided my own electrician and Air Doctor worked with them to make sure that the system was installed properly. Jonathan visited my home twice even before the project started to take all the proper measurements and answer all of my questions. He was also readily available any time I called with a question and utilized Email to issue correspondence. I was very pleased and impressed with the entire process.
Description of Work: Air Doctor installed a new central air conditioning system in my home, complete with duct work, an air handler, and condenser. I reviewed four different proposals before deciding to hire Jonathan and his crew. I felt Air Doctor offered the best value for the dollar, and I was very impressed with their presentation and overall performance. Jonathan took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the process, and provided all of the information I requested. The crew was neat and professional, and everything was clearly spelled out in writing in terms of payments, and warrantys. They even filled out the paperwork necessary for a rebate and included the postage. I would gladly recommend Air Doctor to anyone looking for an HVAC contractor.

Description of Work: This is a family business. Mr. Leonard has several sons who do the work. They are all perfect gentlemen. I even told him how lucky he was to have have such good kids. They are excellent plumbers and hard workers. Very refreshing in this day and age. They installed whole house AC, a new 97% efficient furnace, a whole house dehumidifier, and a whole house humidifier. The works! Very please with the entire system. Awesome! They use TRANE components, and are authorized TRANE installers, which I consider the best HVAC system, bar none. Less I forget: the way my house is designed, it was questionable whether I could get AC in the loft area-Mr. Leonard was able to get around the obstacles and I was able to cool the loft off which was very important to me.

Everything went very smoothly from start to finish, all of their work was done in a professional and clean matter. During the installation of the furnace my water heater happened to go, so they also installed a new one for us as well. If you want someone to listen to what you are going to say and offer a competent solution to your wants and needs - then Air Doctor is the company for you. During the installation a few problems occurred ( as in all construction work sites) but they were quickly resolved thanks to their experience.
Description of Work: Air Doctor did a complete furnace and A/C install including zoning and some duct work. It was a big job so I did get a few quotes before hiring them and they were very competitive. Very knowledgeable and professional. Jonathan and his team were great from start to finish.
