Thompson's Roofing did an excellent job, starting with the pre-bid site evaluation, right through the final cleanup. Bid was middle of the three I received, but only $400 more than lowest and more than $2000 less than highest. We selected Thompson's after considering the thorough inspection by Tom Doyle and seeing three other jobs completed in our area. Tom Doyle and his crew worked straight through the first day non stop (7:30-4:00) and completed the project by 10:30 the next morning. The area around the house was left neat and materials organized after the first day's work and swept for nails with a magnet the second day. Tom Doyle originally gave us a start date of June 15th on May 7th, called to ask if we could move it up to June 5th on June 4th and had completed the work June 6th. All work was completed to contract without any surprises.
Description of Work: The project was to strip two layers of old roofing on our 44 year old split entry house and re-roof with 30 year architectural shingles, all new aluminum trim strip, felt paper, water and ice shield & new flange around soil pipe. New ridge vents were also cut in.

Overall, I was disappointed with Thompson Roofing. I had a couple of leaks in my roof that resulted in some ceiling damage. I was advised by the rep from Thompson (and several other firms) that the leaks were probably due to the method used to install the shingles in the valley that allow water to seep through the roof. Thompson Roofing offered the lowest priced (and simpler) solution by re-sealing the shingles in the valley with cement. Concerned that the quick fix will not be money well spent, I was assured by the Thompson rep that the proposed solution will stop the leaking. After the work was performed, I still had leaks in the valley area of the roof. Called Thompson several times and someone finally stopped by to do some re-sealing. However, still had leaks around the valley of the roof. Again, several calls to Thompson went unanswered. I am disappointed with their service (failed to resolved problem as promised) and responsiveness.
Description of Work: Installed two new flanges around soiled pipes, re-sealed valley shingles with roof cement, repair area where nail is lifting and leaking through roof.
