They were very easy to work with. The quality of their work is excellent. They did a very good job. They were probably more expensive than some of the other contractors that we've used in the past.

I called and left a message. Dave returned my call within the hour. I explained that I was unhappy with my current landscaper and needed help with clean up and some ideas for plantings, etc. We made an appointment for the next day. Dave was prompt and courteous and provided ideas and pricing within a day. I hired them and have never been happier. All his workers are wonderful, my neighbors commented on how great a job they do. I have contracted with them to continue my lawn care with weekly services and in the spring will have some additional plantings done. Very professional. cannot say enough good things about them.

Unfortunately I was not able to use David and his team due might tight timeline and his schedule. I was looking to put my house on the market and looking for a very quick turnaround time. David came out to provide design and cost estimates. He was extremely professional and arrived on the date and time scheduled. I hope to have the opportunity to work with them in the near future.

They've just removed an old blighted Norway Maple tree from my front yard - The stump is still to be ground out. They arrived this AM as promised and were done with removal and disposal of tree in less than one hour. 08/11/2014 - stump removed on date as promised. Job is complete. Will recommend these people and will hire again.

They are very curious, they are very tidy. They are very prompt and they return calls quickly if there is a problem.

They are punctual. Their work is very good. The owner is extremely responsive, phone calls are answered within 24 hours. They have a wide variety of services. For things that they don't provide such as irrigation, they were able to get us other good companies and they coordinated things. I will recommend them to anybody. The owner is very in charge of all the things. He checks the work and he is very picky with who he hires. We are very pleased with their service. Their price is excellent.

He and his crew and equipment showed up on time and did exactly what they were supposed to do. It was such a relief to deal with a professional like David and his crew. The trees they planted survived this awful winter and have are showing new growth this spring. They are guaranteed for 1 year in writing. We have hired Pleasant Valley to mulch and weed our landscape beds this month. I am sure it will look amazing.

The owner of the company, Mr. David Consoli was the only one of the several mowing contractors I contacted, who responded quickly to both my email and my phone call. We set up an appointment and he came to look at the property. His crew then came out in the afternoon and mowed our lawn efficiently and with great care. I also asked for David's advice on how to make our property look better. He is very knowledgeable, not only because he has a degree in horticulture, but because his family business (first run by his father) has been providing services since 1988. On the same day of the consultation, he took pictures, and after a few hours, provided an amazing digital design and reasonable quotes. I plan to move forward, not only with the mowing contract for the season, but also with his landscaping services. What I especially liked is that he gives his customers several options, so while I may not be able to afford all of the landscaping plan, I can have something done that is within my budget. I believe that his company is reliable and that they provide excellent service.

This was an overall big project for us to have our entire backyard renovated and turn it into what we had envisioned to be a great place to entertain friends and family and to allow for a big, new play structure for our 4 year old daughter. The project entailed a new 6' vinyl privacy fence as well as the installation of the play structure. We knew that choosing the right landscape professional was going to be the most important and critical part of the process to make sure that our yard would be properly prepared for the installation of the play structure as well as ensuring that our entire property looked great after the new fence was installed. The removal of the various bushes, shrubs and hedges was going to leave the whole length of the yard and all around the shed in need of a lot of grass to start growing in to allow for a cohesive appearance. I initially set out to get 3 estimates for the work that we wanted to have done. My wife and I were discouraged with the first company that came out as they offered no suggestions and failed to answer most of our questions. Ultimately, we never even got an estimate from them. We remained positive and looked forward to meeting David Consoli, the owner of Pleasant Valley Landscape Contractors who was the 2nd company we had scheduled to have come out to our house to look over the work. David arrived on time (actually a few minutes early which was more than welcomed by us) and we got to walking around the yard to show him what we were looking to do. David listened to us, took lots of pictures of the key areas and educated us on different things such as the specific types of trees and bushes we were looking to have removed. He made sure we understood the value of them and what it would entail if we ever decided we missed them. He offered various options and solutions such as instead of disposing of our Japanese maple which was in the way of the site of the play structure, to transplant it in a spot out in the front of our house where it would thrive. His best advice was in regards to the site for the play structure. We had envisioned having a wood border installed to house the mulch and we were considering using rubber mulch which is quite expensive. David suggested going with a natural cut border for the transition from the mulch to the grass and also recommended to go with regular wood mulch as it would be easier to maintain and keep clean (as it got dragged out by the kids playing, we could easily rake it right back in as needed). Given the number of properties David sees day to day as well as his own experience with a similar play structure in his own yard, we agreed to go with his advice. It would also save us a substantial amount of money. After David was done offering suggestions, answering our questions, etc. we got into talking about the project overall that we were doing and what our experiences had been thus far with other contractors showing up late for estimates or not showing up at all. David gave us some background on his company and how it is run. We never felt like he was trying to sell us on anything, rather, it was apparent he was very proud of what he has created and how he runs his business (he only buys equipment made in the USA for example) and it felt like we were talking with a member of our family. My wife and I really appreciated hearing that all of David's employees undergo background checks. Once David left, my wife and I looked at each other and agreed that we would be hiring Pleasant Valley Landscape Contractors to do the work. David really set us at ease that we would get the results we wanted as he clearly understood our vision. It didn't matter at that point what the estimate ended up coming in at and I never looked to get a 3rd company to come out. We received the estimate from David in just a few days after he was out and we were extremely pleased with the cost to do the work. I corresponded with David multiple times via email and phone between the time he was out for the estimate and the date he and his crew came out to do the work. David always responded to me quickly and continued to answer my questions that came up and put me at ease. The day finally came for the work to get done. David and a crew of 5 with as many trucks showed up on time ready to make it all happen. David did a final walk around the yard with me to make sure we were all still on the same page as to what was about to get done. We discussed a few changes which included the removal of a few more shrubs to which David happily obliged. Each and every one of David's coworkers was extremely professional, friendly and courteous. And most of all, hard working. I didn't believe David when he told me the whole project would only take around 4 hours but David runs an extremely well orchestrated production. Everyone has a job at all times and everyone is multi-tasking. It was amazing to watch these professionals do their work. Any time a question came up or there was an option (for example, we ended up incorporating one of the trees we kept into the edge of the play area and wrapped the mulch around it to create a more natural flow along the fence), David found me and consulted with me to make sure everything was done to my liking and specifications. My 4 year old daughter was home watching the work get done and she wanted to make lemonade for David and his coworkers. Each and every one of them made it a point to thank her and was extremely friendly to her. These are some of the things that made a difference to us and how we were treated. Another thing that really stood out to me was how meticulous David and each of his coworkers were to ensure that not as much as a single grass seed let alone any of the heavy equipment they were using to touch the new fence that was just installed that they were working literally right in front of and under it. It was a concern for me as we just spent a small fortune on the fence work but David and his crew treated my property as if it were their own. The work was completed in the estimated time frame and David asked me if there was anything else I wanted done while they were there. We discussed a few additional areas to backfill with new top soil and seed as well as a few other trees that I wanted to have mulch spread around them. Since David had enough extra materials on site, he was happy to add in the few change orders and make us even happier. Once everything was completed, David's crew went into full on clean up mode. Aside from the phenomenal transformation work that had just been done to the yard, you would never know that a crew of 6 with 5 big trucks had just been there. Everything was raked, blown, swept and picked up with no traces left behind. A couple of days later, the installers from the company that we purchased the play structure from came out to deliver and set it up. He has been installing play structures for them for 15 years and he could not offer enough compliments about what a great job that David did to prepare the site. He commented that it was one of the best he has seen. This was very pleasing to hear. It was discouraging to see so much of our yard with just top soil and seed however I have been militant in following David's advice on proper watering of the newly seeded areas and in less than one week (5 days to be exact), new grass was vigorously sprouting everywhere. It has continued to grow in rapidly (it has now been 2 weeks since the work was completed by David) and the yard is looking fantastic. The transplanted Japanese maple is in fact thriving in its new location. Overall, we could not have asked for anything more from David and his company and we are extremely pleased and satisfied with the work that was done. David and each of his coworkers went far above and beyond in the work they did. It is apparent they take great pride in what they do and they stand by it. I have already discussed with David having the beds in the front of the house redone in the near future and I would not hesitate for a second to engage Pleasant Valley Landscape Contractors to do the work. I had set out to not just find a company to do the work we wanted for this project, but rather to find a landscaping professional who I can turn to at any time with any needs we might have for our property and we have found just that with David Consoli and his company.

I have been using them for about a month. They are great so far. So far so good, it just hasn't been very long.

He has a great work ethic, knowledgable and is reasonably priced. I like that he does a background check on the workmen before he hires. We have hired him in past for snow removal, moving our lawn, and some landscaping projects.

We just love them. We like their professionalism and that they clean up after their work. They are thorough and their prices are competitive. We think that we can get this service done cheaper, but the owner of his business has always been very responsive. We can call or e-mail him and he will get right back to us. He really goes the extra difference. The owner is very professional and very courteous. We spend about $40 for them to come out.
