METHUEN TREE SERVICE

He came to give an estimate and finally came to a very reasonable price. I told him we would love to have this done around the end of Sept figuring we’d have our pool covered and all the Yard furniture put into the barn. I asked if he had insurance and he said he did and to send him along an email address so he could send his ins papers along. Sent along the email address and still hadn’t received the insurance info after 2-3 weeks of calling, texting calling and texting some more! A couple of weeks later we obviously assumed he didn’t want the job BUT maybe just maybe could of he just sent along a text or email or voicemail to tell us this. We would of understood!! Which of course because he said he would do the job and we agreed to hire we let the others that were in our list go.....very bad business like, not professional at all! He told me that the man who owned Methuen Tree Service died and he took over...so the name of the company is another name. He should probably go back to just doing what he was doing before! Or go to learn Work Ethics.

He had a lot of good reviews but I would give him an F. He did come out right away. He knew that I needed a written estimate and said he would get to it. When he was out he didn't even write anything down. The next day he called and said his guys would be out at 10:00 to do the work. I said wait, you are not the only guy I called for an estimate and secondly, you never gave me an estimate and third, I need to be present when you do the work. He said I did not need to be there when they came out to do the work. I told him I would be there when they were doing work on my property. In the meantime I hired another tree service but they were not able to start right away. He didn't know this and tells me again that he will be out to do the work. I said I still do not have a written estimate. He gives me a piece of notebook paper with three lines on it stating they will take down three trees for $600. First of all, they were not to take down any trees only limbs off some very high trees and clean up some trees and a bush. He didn't even remember my job. I called him back and said his estimate came in a little late I had hired someone else. It was a nightmare. Do not waste your time calling him.

I have used Tom on three separate occassions, to trim trees, take down trees and remove stumps and to remove fallen trees. I can't say enough good things about Tom and Methuen Tree Service - price is always fair and the work is always down quickly and professionally. I wouldn't even think about using someone else.

Tom was very responsive throughout the process. I called in mid December to get an estimate. Tom came by my house and provided me an estimate quickly. Once I agreed, Tom said he would call the night before he could do the work (he noted I did not need to be present). Within a short period, Tom called and completed the job.

Everything went fine and I would refer them to anyone.

Great crew.. very professionally supervised. The work went very well, including the survival of a small tree at the base of the largest dead ash remved.

Tom DeRochas had us on his plate to do some other tree work. We had a deck built and were initially going to wrap it around this tree. We changed our mind and asked Tom to come quickly so the contractors could do their work building the deck. He did come quickly. He also worked quickly, but with care!!! We are not in a hurry for the other tree work, so that hasn't been done yet. We would use him again in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!

The crew was knowledgeable. They knew what to do and how to do it. They cleaned up well after themselves.

LILY OF THE VALLEY WERE UNDER ONE OF THE TREES AND HE MOVED THEM TO A BARE SPOT, SO NOT TO GRIND THEM UP. WE WERE PLEASED WITH HIS WORK EVEN IF HE DID NOT MOVE THE FLOWERS.
