Dave from Massachusetts Home Inspections was very polite and professional throughout the entire home inspection. He arrived early and with all the tools he would need to complete the job. I was honestly surprised at how thorough he was when inspecting the house. Dave walked my real estate agent and me around the house explaining everything he noticed that was of concern. He was not afraid to enter the attic and inspect even the cramped areas of the house. I don't believe there was an inch of the house that Dave did not look at. I felt comfortable asking questions and definitely came out of the experience much more knowledgeable about the property. I feel very confident in purchasing this home now and plan to use Massachusetts Home Inspections for any future purchases.

Mr. Valley was very thorough in his home inspection. He discussed his review during the walk-through and afterward in a written report. He commented on the many good things he saw about the house as well as some issues that ought to be addressed. He was punctual, professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. We would hire him again if/when the need arises.

Dave Valley did an outstanding job he answered all of questions and he was extremely thorough he caught several things that someone without his training and certifications would have not found. Dave arrived a half hour ahead of the scheduled home inspection to complete the exterior inspection, when my wife and I arrived he walked us through all that he did with respect to the exterior inspection. Dave spent over 3 and half hours going to every room. Dave arrived early and had already looked at the outside of the house. He went over the exterior andthen we headed inside. He was remarkably through and knowledgable. He pointed out many issues I did not know about, and was patient and answed al my questions. I would recommend and use him in the future.

We found David Valley to be pleasant and very knowledgeable. Our plan was to put an addition on this first house. The inspection revealed too much deferred maintenance, termites, mold, seepage in the basement, and illegal electrical work. We did not buy this house. David inspected the second house with equal professionalism. This time it went well. In over 30 years of home-buying, we have had several inspections. He is the first inspector we found not to knit-pick every time something non-safety related is not up to current code, which can be overwhelming in an older or vintage home. David chooses what is important to focus on. He has a positive, realistic approach to home inspections. He presented the issues to be addressed calmly, and used easily understood language. He did not talk down to us in any way. He does not lecture. We especially liked his very helpful, practical suggestions about maintenance. It was a remarkably pleasant experience, and unlike most inspections we've had, we felt positive about the inspection process itself. We came away having learned a lot about the house. He is a great resource, and made it clear that he was available to answer any questions in the future. We highly recommend him.

Dave did an excellent job. Responded to calls quickly. Arrived on time. Was very thorough. The best part is that he sent us an incredibly comprehensive multi page report of his recommendations and pictures he took of every area of our house showing just wear the cold leaks were. He suggested the best ways to address each area. I think he provides a very valuable service to homeowners.
