I have used Keith for several years now and recommend him to everyone I know. He is honest, hard working, delightful to talk to and and smart! I look forward to his visits every season.
Description of Work: Keith is so talented and helpful he can do a wide range of things in the yard. He does basic clean ups, plants bulbs, trims my ornamental trees, lays pavers, digs new flower beds, plants new perennials and sources plants, trees, mulch and more for me.

I was so impressed that he got it all done in a day. It would have taken me a month...and frankly, I don't know what I am doing. Keith really knows his plants...invasive species, what not to plant in shade etc. I also like that he doesn't blast the weeds with round-up or use noisy machines. He works with handtools, all by himself, and the result is just stunning.
Description of Work: Our backyard had turned into a jungle! Keith did a huge weeding trimming, cutting back removing a truckload of overgrowth..and he planted two trees and set up an auto-water timer system.

We have used Keith Fleming's garden services for several years now and we think he is excellent. Keith, unlike several other landscape people we have used in the past, has been willing and able to adapt his ideas to our difficult growing situation--shade and very dry, poor soil. Last year Keith put in a lot of plants to cover the bare spots in our ground cover that we have had for years.. Most of the plants grew beautifully but one new variety he adde died off immediately. He cheerfully replaced them with plants of another, sturdier kind. Now we have a completely green yard, thanks to Keith. He also has a good eye for shaping and pruning.

Response from The Whole Garden
Hi [removed member name], Perhaps there has been a mistake or a misunderstanding. I have not received any inquiries from you concerning gardening work nor do I believe we have ever spoken about it. Sincerely, Keith

Description of Work: I had used the The Whole Garden in July. He did a lot of weeding, took out some bushes, and prepared my garden ready for the fall. It cost me $300.

Keith worked alone and with great effort over a period of a few days, was very careful with and protective of my new paving stone areas. He was extremely helpful to me in picking out plants that would do well in the type of soil I have, and in the areas that are mostly shaded during the major portion of the day. The varieties of plants will mature at different points of the growing season so there will always be something nice to look at. He gave me directions on how to keep it looking good on my own, made it easier for me to manage the planting areas and worked with my desire for peonies along a long and narrow planting bed and no tall bushes in front of the house. Otherwise I was essentially clueless on what plants would do well in the shade, and with each other and had no specific preferences other than the peonies and blueberries. I am very happy with the results and even though most of the plants are in dormancy at this time of the year, they still look pretty good. I (and my neighbors) can't wait to see it in the spring/summer. The areas will look fantastic. Unfortunately I am very skilled in propagating pesky weeds that have absolutely no curbside appeal and people will think I moved away when they see the flowers.
Description of Work: Removal of a persistent weedy vine from two areas Lined the backsides of three cobblestone borders (of planting beds) with landscape fabric Extended gutter drainage and repositioned the outlets Added organic compost, natural fertilizers, and mulch to all beds Installed drip hoses in 4 beds (brilliant idea to save me time and effort in upkeep) Planted a variety of perennial plants (peonies, fountain grass, japanese anemones, and liriopes) and short-stature pieris bushes in the front 2 beds. Repositioned a large hydrangea to another location in the rear bed, planted 3 blueberry varieties, found and replaced a hosta plant and a strawberry plant that were hidded by the weeds, and replaced the bulbs that were in other locations in the same rear planting bed.

Keith promptly returned my call. He came out to the house at the scheduled time. We talked and he educated me about my gardens and what can/should be done to improve them. The work was done on time, and the cost was right at the estimate. Keith is very knowledgable, easy to work with, responsive and professional. His fees are very reasonable.
Description of Work: Dug out, divided and relocated many clumps of overgrown Siberian irises. Pruned and trimmed severely overgrown shrubs. Weeded the gardens. Spread mulch in all the gardens. Took out dead shrubs and plants. Overall, made the unkempt and ignored gardens look fabulous. I will continue to use his services for the fall clean-up, pruning and planting bulbs as well as dividing, moving and replanting large hostas.

I was very pleased with Keith's timely response, and willingness to work with my schedule. He did a wonderful job!
Description of Work: Keith looked at our back yard which is a steep hill that was eroding. He pulled all of the weeds on the slope, added some topsoil, planted 100s of vinca, and covered the area with mulch. He also placed a drip hose in to water the vinca properly so that the little plants will grow and flourish. He then replanted some plants that he had removed from the hill.

We were blown away by Keith's effort and commitment. Without any payment or agreement to work with him, he made sketches and diagrams that showed us what it would look like from the street and from the sky. He had tons of great ideas beyond what we were thinking that were going to have a huge impact on the home. Keith worked hard to stay within budget and was very communicative and easy to work with. Keith was flexible in how we spent our money; doing the work in two stages so we could afford it. Also arranging to meet me after work and letting us pitch in and help to save time and money. He took a Japanese Maple back to the tree farm when we were realized that we needed a bigger one and he has visited our home probably 4-5 times since the initial work to check on things, recommend new things and guide us in our care of the plants. We have lots of other plans for Keith in the future.
Description of Work: Visited my property and listened to our ideas for a new flower and bush garden in place of some overgrown shrubs and bushes we cut down. We also discussed various ideas for improving the curb appeal of the front yard and the entire home. Keith took a week to prepare a packet full of colored drawings, a garden plot diagram and literature about the various plants he thought we should use. He prepared the beds, dug up a HUGE tree stump by hand, purchased and delivered all the plants and planted them all. He has visited several times since to check on things, do some free pruning and give some free advice on watering, care and pruning.
