We can now bake scones again! Our Oven light was even fixed. The work was clean, timely, and down right the first time. We were out of their usual service area, so I appreciated them coming out and making the trip.

This is my second time calling Sherman's. I was so nervous that my fridge had totally died. He was calm and took apart an area of the fridge and quickly identified the problem with frost build up preventing the fan from running. (I hope I am explaining this correctly!) He fixed this and the fridge works perfectly again. He was able to come out within a day of my call. The responses and service were prompt and friendly. Would definitely re-hire.

Great experience. Marc is incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job on both my stove and replacing the ice maker in the fridge. He was able to fit me in quickly, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Arrived when promised and fixed oven in under an hour.

Oh boy. What Marc initially thought would be simple ended up involve multiple visits with the wrong part or an attempted fix that didn't work. He says he was trying to save us money, which I think is true, but we ended up needing to replace a whole dual burner component which was expensive!

First of all I had called several places to see if they could come out and fix our oven. Most said they wouldn't be able to come to the house for at least 7-10 business days. When I called Sherman Appliance Repair I left a message and he called back within 30 minutes and said he could come that day. Upon arrival he took one look and fixed it within 20 minutes. His price to walk in the door was half of what the others wanted to charge and his price for the overall visit was more than fair; he was nice as well as professional. I highly recommend this company and I will not hesitate to call if we need another repair.

Very dissatisfied with the overall experience this around with Marc. We had used him first when he had repaired our dishwasher and I was very pleased with his service so we called him again. 1) In the first technical service session, Marc told me the technical labor cost will be $200 to repair the microwave and then fitting it back into the wall. However, in the final bill he charged me $228 + $3 tax and when I questioned him, his response was if I did not want to pay the remaining he would take the part back from the microwave. This is the way they speak to their customers. Paying the extra 28 was not big deal if he had given me a reasonable explanation; however, his tone and his response were very offending. 2) Marc did not give me the original receipt of the part that was replaced in my microwave, so I don’t know what was the actual cost of the part replaced.

Not well. The guy came and said he replaced a valve that h said was defect. He said that despite this the dishwasher didn't fill properly, and implied that it was a problem with a fill hose valve and that it would be easier for me to replace it. So I went and bought a hose, only to realize that after he left there was literally no water pressure to our kitchen sink, nor to our dishwasher. I texted him and told him this, and he said that I'm on my own and that I should call a plumber. So having hired these guys to fix my dishwasher, then not only didn't do it, but they also messed up, inadvertently I presume, the plumbing system. I had to hire an emergency plumber who took care of it all, but at additional cost to us. I offered Sherman's to rectify the situation before I sent this review but I got no reply.

Next day service for a dysfunctional refrigerator, very professional and quick. Solved the problem immediately and completely; I recommend without reservation.

They were on time for the estimate & work dates.

We had issues with our stove the month or two before Thanksgiving with 25 guests coming over. Sherman appliance was extremely responsive and immediately came out to troubleshoot the issue. The problem was either with our Electronic Oven Control (EOC) or they thought it was an electrical issue with our outlet. They installed a new EOC, but after testing, we found out that it was most likely the electrical. They came back and reinstalled the existing part that they kept (just in case) and didn't charge for that visit. They are extremely focused on service and resolving the issues as quickly as they can. Hands down, one of the most professional vendors I've ever worked with. I would recommend them again to friends and family.

I chose Sherman's based on a Angie's coupon when researching online. They were prompt in answering my call initially, showed up on the day they said they would and performed the initial diagnostic and subsequent repair a few days later with no troubles. Both Marc and the other repairman were friendly and respectful of our home (particularly our new hardwood floors!). There was a miscommunication on prepayment for the diagnostic through Angie's List. However, once I realized it I called Marc and he was quick to reimburse me for the over-payment without any hassle. Very easy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

This review is about non-service by Sherman's Appliance & Refrigeration Service. I called them looking to schedule an appointment to repair my Whirlpool washing machine. After describing the symptoms, he told me, don't even bother. Just buy a new one at this point, its 10 years old and the bearings failed. Unfortunately I know too many services that would gladly come to my house and charge a service fee to say the same thing. This level of honesty is and integirty is refreshing and I will definitely be sure to use them in the future.

It went great. They arrived on time, found nothing more then an overloaded washing machine and all was fixed before they left. Very professional.

Marc Sherman came the day after we called to schedule the appointment; let us know when he was coming, and fixed the stove in record time. We were worried that we might have to replace an older stove, but it had some minor problems that he corrected. He gives you the feeling that he can fix anything. Very efficient. Nice guy.

I was in need of a dishwasher repair a few days before Christmas and was anticipating a hassle. I called Sherman's and they answered the phone early in the morning. They said they would call me back, which they did promptly. They came to my house just a few hours later and fixed the problem. The issue ended up being a simple one and had they not been honest, they could have easily taken advantage of the situation and charged more. Instead, the fix was under $100. I would definitely recommend Sherman's and use them again myself.

I purchased an extended warranty with the wine cooler. After dozens of phone calls and 4 frustrating months later, I gave up and resorted to good old and reliable Angie's List. I did send them the bill-but I not holding my breath. Marc and his tech came out super quick and repaired the unit. It's running great! They were professional, are very knowledgeable and very nice guys. Thank you!!

The first time I called him, he offered advice to encourage me to try to fix it myself, which I thought was very considerate and generous. However, I was unable to fix myself (turned out my particular model of refrigerator was not set up the way he assumed) so I called back and asked him to come out. He came out the next day, diagnosed the problem, and then ordered the part. He could have come back the next business day, but I could not be home for several days after that, and he accommodated my schedule, He misestimated his arrival time on both occasions, but it was not a problem for me (and I told him that) because I had arranged to be home all day both days (I am able to work at home fairly easily). It might be that if timing had been more important for me he would have arrived closer to the estimates, but I made it clear that it didn't matter that much to me. He was polite, professional, and fixed the problem. He seemed very knowledgable about appliances and I will definitely call him first if I have an issue with another appliance.

He was very friendly and worked quickly. He was obviously excited to see our washing machine (it's from 1975), and seemed to have a good time fixing it. He told us to use it as long as it lasts, because once the motor goes, there aren't replacements for it anymore. He also gave us a recommendation on a reliable appliances store, which was appreciated since we have been looking for other options. He was friendly, timely, well priced, professional and we will hire him again.

On a basic service consultation with Sherman Appliance, they provided me with frank, clear, and most importantly, not greedy advice about the problem my washing machine was having. Instead of lining up a service call and bilking me for cash, they guided me towards buying a new machine, and even gave me advice about the sort of machine to purchase.

We have a vintage and somewhat rare gas stove. I contacted Marc as he indicated he worked with all makes and models. To my surprise, he immediately knew about my type of stove and had, in fact, serviced the brand before (he also knew many other facts including who had worked on the stove before by simply knowing the town we lived in). We were able to make an appointment with him in short order. When he came out -- he quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it on the spot. The stove has worked great ever since. We were very pleased with Marc's extensive knowledge, the service, and the quick response. We will definitely turn to Marc again in the future.

Easy to schedule, arrived promptly, worked for 2 1/2 hours, left area clean. Dryer works.

The dryer cycle was not properly working and Marc replaced the thermostat. He was very professional and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.
