It went very well, I was surprised they were able to do it all in one day! Jeff was very prompt and professional (the actual quote was given a year ago - I put the project on hold until this year and he honored the old quote). Since they reused the old stones the materials needed were fairly minimal, but it was a lot of labor. I still very surprised that two workers (thanks Bruno and Sebastian) were able to do the entire project in one day. They also cleaned up very well and left the area better than they found it. The quote was the highest I received (thus the "B" rating) however it was in the same general ballpark as other quotes, and this, along with the thoroughness of the proposal, led me to select Masonworks. Overall they did an excellent job and I would recommend them.

The work was performed in a timely manner and with respect to the property. When, after the work was done, I asked if it's possible to install a door for the manhole in the wall (the door was not in the signed contract), the contractor answered positively and gave me a few options. After I chose one of them, the door was installed during the date interval and for the additional fee we agreed on.

They were extremely professional, polite, and responsive to all of our needs. The prep work was thorough and end product beautifully done. We have thoroughly enjoyed the beauty it added to our backyard. Would definitely hire them again.

Once the project was started it only took two days to complete and they did a wonderful job.

Masonworks contacted me for an appointment to discuss the need, measure, etc. after I called them based upon a referral from Angie's. This was done in a timely manner. The quote presented was very professionally prepared and outlined my responisbilities as well as Masonworks' so I clearly understood what was being offered and at what price. Given on/off rains, I had to wait a bit longer than expected but my turn came. A crew of 4 arrived on the appointed day AT the appointed time (8:00 AM) and worked safely until 7:00 PM. The second day they also arrived on time and completed the project. The crew needed nothing from me other than electricity. They were dressed for the kind of work and were self sufficient. They had/provided everything needed for this project start to finish. They protected my property adjacent to where they were working, explained as they progressed and cleaned up after themselves. The price was reasonable and I am very, very pleased with the results. I've received many compliments from family, passers by and neighbors. I highly recommend Masonworks LLC.

Excellent! The work was performed quickly and professionally. These guys are in high demand, so they weren't able to start right away, but were good at communicating their availability. Once they started, they finished ahead of schedule.

This work was most professional and top quality. The guys came early and worked late to get the job done right. The result is a masterpiece which we have received a number of complements from neighbors. The price was fair and competitive as I obtained several estimates. I would highly recommend.

We are very pleased with the outcome of this project. The stairs are a traditional brick finish with blue mist granite steps while the walkway is holland stone pavers w/ a blue mist granite step down to the street. Jeff and his team provided top notch work. The crew showed up early, stayed late, and had a great attention to detail. They listened attentively to our questions and ideas while incorporating everything exactly as we requested.

They did a great job! I'm really impressed with the result. They used extremely high quality materials (even better than I expected) and the work looks incredible. There were a couple of minor touch up issues to resolve at the end of the project and the team was very professional and responsive to the close out list.

Excellent, contacted Jeff after several years after when he completed a backyard paver project for me. Same attention to understanding what I wanted and he also offered alternatives to what had in mind. No pressure just a conversation on what can done and setting the expectations . This is exactly what I remember from the first contact with Jeff years ago. Workmanship first class and the craftsmen doing the work fully engaged and competent.

The project went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was excellent. The workers were timely, and finished the patio in the time promised. The site was left clean and orderly on completion. We are very happy with the patio and would use them again.

I hired them for a couple of things. They were OK, I mean they were good. They did it they came right away they did it. And then sent someone to check it to make sure it was OK. You know, did exactly what I needed. The price seemed fair. And you know they were easy to work with. Well I mean it was simply work. They did it promptly, they did what they said they were going to do. They did a good job as far as I can tell I'm not a mason. They were easy to deal with. And they prompted me several times to review them which is part of the reason I didn't because I hate being told what to do, I mean by people of business. On price, I would give them an A, I priced that with a couple other people that wanted much more money for something that wasn't that difficult. Yes, they were punctual. They would get an A for professionalism, I mean I didn't see the workers in person.

It went great! Email communication during planning was great. In-person & SMS communication with Bruno was great during construction. Wrap-up with Junior was also great! I don't use "great" often, but it applies here: all our emails were replied to within a few hours, and our text messages within a few minutes. The project started in time, took as long as quoted, finished on time, and was in-budget. And there was not litter or debris left around after they finished! We'll start with MasonWorks for our next project. They are a little pricier than some, but not out of line. And I didn't have to stress or be distracted by the project before, during, or after. That's woth a lot to me.

This review is for work completed in October of 2014. We didn't leave a review at the time because, while there were some problems along the way (one truly annoying one: they originally didn't haul away some of the asphalt and driveway gunk, instead covering it with the topsoil), we were overall pleased with the finished project. It is only two and half year's later, when we have a number of wobbly, and/or cracked and broken bluestones in the paths that Masonworks put in, that we realize that the warning signs we saw were indicative of poor workmanship. The stones were not seated properly, nor were their natural details chosen with any care for the different parts of the path that we put in (i.e. a stone with a particularly large protrusion, which would have been fine in most places in the path, was chosen and placed directly in front of the pad we put in for the trash cans and wheeled recycling bin - it never fails to catch on the wheels. The use of that part of the path was part of the project planning. The poor placement of that stone is a weekly reminder of what we thought we were paying for and didn't get). We chose Masonworks, even though it was more expensive, because we believed we were paying for expertise described in other reviews. That was not our experience.

The project went very well, the work was done promptly and the final product looked great. Was very impressed that the crew performing the work, left the site clean and neat.

Masonworks did a fantastic job. They were patient and flexible in the planning process and performed the work without delay once the permit was granted.

Jeff arrived on-time and gave a thorough assessment of the situation and recommendations on how to address. We were particularly impressed with his advice on how to not only repair the wall, but save the tree in the process, in a way that would not compromise the wall in the future. He was incredibly upfront and direct about which portions of the job needed to be done, and would cost extra, and which parts were completely unnecessary and would be a waste of money. The whole time his demeanor was pleasant and professional and he was very generous with addressing questions that came up after his visit. We will not be able to undertake the job this year after all, but he would have been our first choice to do the work.

Without a hitch. They were on time, worked quickly and unobtrusively. Very responsive to phone calls, text messages. Pleasant and professional. We're pleased with the results. As an addition to the above work we asked them to mulch some garden beds. We felt that was overpriced and would not use again for that purpose.

Jeff Souza came promptly and within that day we had our quote . Done in the time frame that was told to us. Love the patio's outcome. Only issue was the cleanup but texted Forman Bruno and issues resolved in a timely manner. Very agreeable to our concerns . We would use them again and refer them . We were most pleased.

We did a project (fence, walls, 2 patios, drywell) with Jeff and Masonworks several years ago. The work has held up very well. We contacted Jeff and explained the driveway project. He remembered our property from the prior project and came out to measure and discuss the specifics. We received and accepted a quote shortly thereafter. Masonworks pulled the permits and started work ASAP. The job took about 3 1/2 days from start to finish. It looks great and based on our prior experience, I expect it will hold up well. Jeff, Bruno, Junior and their crew are professional, prompt, do a great job and leave the job site clean. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Was very pleased working with Jeff, Bruno and Junior. Communication was professional and excellent. Quote clearly delineated the cost of each task, something that other contractors refused to do when asked. Minor quibble was that there was little advance notice as to when work was going to start, but understand it is difficult to schedule in spring coming out of winter with the weather. Price was not the lowest but I felt in line with the high standard of quality and communication.

I established a deadline because of a party I was holding on a Saturday where I wanted to show my guests my new steps. Unfortunately, I dragged my feet a bit as I negotiated the terms and price and only signed the contract a week and a half before the party so I wasn't sure it would be possible to finish in time. That said, the permit was raised and the work was started only the Monday before the party. Masonworks' employees showed up to work on time that morning (and every day) and began to remove the steps and stoop, which they did in one day. By Wednesday, there was a couple of layers of concrete laid down, but the work was a long way from being completed and I was very concerned. But by Friday morning, not only was the last layer laid down, but the walk had been started, and later that evening, all of the work had been completed. Cleanup was done and by Saturday morning I had my beautiful new stoop, steps and walk. Everyone, from the workers, to the sales manager Junior, to the owners (Jeff and Bruno) were professional, polite, prompt and a pleasure to work with. In summary, they advised me on the best solution to my problem, contracted to do the work and delivered on that contract, on time and on budget. They weren't the cheapest, but the price was fair for the amount of work and I believe they delivered the highest quality work.
