HIRSCHFELD FLOORS

We had some (significantly) damaged flooring after having an old wood stove and hearth removed from our living room. The floorboards were discolored and warped from the old brick hearth that previously sat atop the hardwood. Bill was able to get us on the schedule pretty quickly, and was very communicative throughout the process. It ended up being a 3 day process between the sanding/repair, then applying the finish. The final product was better than we ever expected with a floor that had been so damaged. Bill was a straight-shooter who was easy to work with. We'd use him again without hesitation for any future projects.

I can honestly say I was astonished how great our floors came out!! The previous owners had lived in the home for 60+ years and the floors were very worn, they now look BRAND new. I could not be happier with the finished project!! Bill Hirschfeld was great to work with, extremely prompt, efficient and trustworthy. A class act. I would highly highly recommend him to anyone interested. He was a GREAT find, thank you Angie's List!!

He was recommended to us, and we were delighted to confirm that recommendations do matter. I am going to use the company for updates in the condominium, which will be sold soon, and will also use Bill, and whomever he selects for their skills and expertise, to deal with work that I will need done in my condominium, in Cambridge. The experience with Herschfeld was excellent! They were timely. The quality of work was good. They were conscientious.

My wife called and spoke to someone from Hirschfeld Floors who came right out to look at our interior stairway. We want to remove the carpet and replace it with Oak risers and treads. They promised to call us back with a price in a few days. When no one called us back, my wife called and left a voice mail message inquiring about the price. We never received a return call.

Hirschfeld Floors did a good quality job on both the sanding and flooring. They came on the day that had been scheduled. The process was originally scheduled to 3 days, however, at the start of the job, they warned me that it might take one additional day due to the high temperatures and humidity (we do not have central AC). It did take four days to complete and there were some finish limited finish problems due to the heat and humidity. They refinished those areas at no extra cost.
