Description of Work: Worked on repairing faucet and toilet flushing assembly.

Description of Work: I called Hinchey Bros. for an estimate regarding a media filter install for my furnace. Ken was responsive and punctual at the time of the estimate, however, it went down hill from there. The job was to be started and completed on 1/10/2013, however I was called by the ever friendly office manager 2 days prior stating the crew was short-handed and I would need to reschedule. I called back to reschedule and spoke directly with the office manager again. She informed me she would need to talk with Ken before a date could be determined and would call me back. Well, I am still waiting as it has been over 3 weeks. This has truly been a poor customer experience as I will not be using or referring Hinchey Bros going forward.

Description of Work: I have been looking for a company to service my gas heating system. As luck would have it, Hinchey Bros was just a few blocks away. It was easy to make an appointment. They called early to say that their service man had been held up on a previous job, asked if I needed to reschedule or could accomodate them with a later in the day service call. Mike showed up right on time. While the system is only a year old, he walked me through all he needed to do. He also advised me about a potential problem with a short section ofheating pipe in the basement that was leaking at an elbow and another joint. I agreed to make the repair (replacing with a section of copper pipe). Isolating the section so the whole system needn't be drained was a challenge, but Mike got in done in short order and made the repair. The cleanup was spotless. I am very pleased.

Description of Work: Toilet was constantly running. They repaired it promptly. I asked them about a sink that was making a lot of noise. I had a plumber (not Hinchey) in twice for this problem but they could not fix it. Hinchey knew exactly what the problem was. I am planning to use them again to repair the sink.

Description of Work: Sam investigated a leak that we suspected came from the shower. He was extremely thorough, ruling out the sink and the toilet and confirmed that the leak was most likely due to poor tiling/grouting/ faucet install in the shower. He suggested a few options for next steps -- unfortunately we will need to have shower re-tiled and possibly have the tub replaced, due to shoddy installation by another company. But he explained what he considered to be the best options (short-term and long-term) and made sure we understood them.

Description of Work: WE HAD A SMALL JOB, BUT VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND PLUMBER. VERY UPFRONT ABOUT COST AND THE WAY THEY CHARGE.
