The hot water issuse was not resolved, he did explain the reason and how we would need to fix it. He did do something with the faucet in the tub not sure exactly what, but only made a minor difference. Installed a new toliet. Overall far too expensive, he was there from 8-11 and all I got pretty much was a toliet installed. He was constantly going back and forth to his truck and was talking on his cell phone twice.

They did excellent work and they cleaned up after themselves. They had to step in the tub to do the work. I couldn't find anything wrong. they came when they said they would. My husband called and told them what it was.

No issues, but we forgot to use our Angie's List coupon, so hopefully we can do this next time.

Kenny came for the estimate and gave us the various options available to update our outdated gas heating boiler system. We opted for the non-chimney exterior wall venting system with a Wells-MCain ultra high efficiency boiler (92-98%). The work was finished on schedule and the completed system not only works efficiently, but is impressive to look at. It's obvious that a great deal of care and planning went into the completion of the project. I couldn't be more satisfied with the work.

I noticed we had a leak in the basement at 6:00 am. We called Hinchey Bros. and Bill arrived before 8:00 AM. He was very professional and courteous to deal with. He fixed the leaks and also labeled the water shut-off valves.

The work performed was excellent. He completed the work very quickly, with no hangups, even though the sink was arranged in a very unusual way. It has been a few months since the install, and there are no leaks and everything is firmly attached - good as new. He was also careful not to make a mess in the kitchen as he worked.

Sam and Mike from Hinchey Brothers removed an old, leaky radiator and installed a new (used, but new to us) radiator that we purchased ourselves. They were prompt, polite, explained what they were doing, and didn't leave a mess behind. The entire process took and hour and a half, including removing the old radiator from our home. The total cost was within the original estimate I was given, which I thought was fair. Overall I was very pleased with how things went.

They came, were very prompt and nice. The estimate I received was higher than most others so I did not have the work done. ($6,000.00)

They have been excellent. They work with you and are very easy to get to come out to do estimates. They spend time talking to you when you need something done. The people that come out are respectful of your home, and in the 15 years I have been using them, they have been very good.

Hinchey Brother were very thorough in their work. They showed up on time. I wish they had communicated better. They were a little high priced, but did a great job.

We need the service because we suspect one of our toilets was leaking and damaging the ceiling downstairs. We also had a flushing valve that was leaking so the toilet kept flushing all the time. We chose the company because of its good review on Angie's List. The lady answering the phone was nice and friendly. She explained how the price works (plumber labor hourly rate) and gave me the earliest available appointment which was one week later. Sam showed up on time. We talked briefly about our suspicion of the toilet leaking and question about a mysterious hole in our bathroom sink pipe. It turns out it was drilled by another plumber who snaked our pipe two years ago but did not patch it after he did his job. Sam patched that hole so it would not leak again. After taking out the toilet seat he immediately found it was leaking and recommended replacing the flange which was very old and breaking apart. He took out the old flange and installed a new one. Then he replaced the wax ring and installed the toilet back. We also asked him to replace the flushing valve system. He did the same job for our two toilets. The entire thing took about 5 hours. Sam explained every question I asked and cleaned up the as he was doing the work. I would highly recommend using this company for your plumbing need.

With all three jobs above they came out quickly. They have been doing services for me for the past 3 years. Very professional, on time and clean up well. The quality of their work is good. He does charge hourly for labor. He does guarantee his work and writes out everything he does.

Very well. A lot of the work ended up being carpentry work; cutting holes in the cabinet (36" wide, but with 5 drawers and 2 doors). The plumber was at the house all day. When he left, he removed all the old fixtures, pipes, etc.-the bathroom was spotless and ready to use.

Excellent: Emailed over the weekend and Ken replied within a couple of hours (and this wasn't anything urgent). Eileen from the office called on Monday to schedule the appointment which was offered conveniently. As promised, she called the day of the appointment with the plumber's ETA. Sam showed up on time, explained everything as he went along (very personable and easy going), made some money-saving suggestions, other tips and brand recommendations for future items. He then cleaned up so that you wouldn't know he had been here.

It was a fairly big job and they were extremely helpful. They were the lowest bid I received and they did a great job.

Our plumber (Sam?) told us exactly what was happening, how it needed to be fixed, how long it would take. He was great. Our sink is old and a space between the sink and the counter, which was also contributing to leaks. He filled it with some putty to help, and explained that it was a temporary solution (which is fine since we need to redo the kitchen anyway). While in the basement he labeled all our pipes (even though this wasn't the reason we called) and advised on our water heater and how to turn off the water flow. I can't say enough about the extra mile that he went. He was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and cleaned up where he was working. Hinchey Brothers are my new plumbers!

I called at lunchtime and left a message. They called back within a half hour and I was lucky that Bill was right there and could come immediately. Everything was left spotless. He was a gentleman. I believe I read in the reviews on the list that they charged $110/hour as I never asked about price before I had him do the work. Labor was for 2 hours so the bill seemed right to me. This was the first time I personally hired a plumber.

I got a prompt response when I called Hinchey Brothers; work got delayed for a week due to emergencies and bad weather, but they kept in touch and let me know what was going on. When they showed up, work was done quickly and they called me to check on everything.

I called for an appointment and someone was scheduled to come in 2 days. He was not able to come as early in the day as they originally estimated, but the office did call twice to give me updates. Bill assessed the problem quickly, told me how much it would cost, went out to get the needed part and returned quickly, and had it replaced in just a few minutes. He also spent some time talking to me about our steam boiler and proper service for it. Thank you Bill!

They did a great job, and they were able to stop by with almost no notice. We just moved into a new house, and a few days before moving day we noticed a leak on the ceiling below our shower. I called Hinchley after reading reviews here and they were able to come the next morning and open the wall to fix the leak (approx $300). A week later we saw that our garbage disposal was dead and again they came out the day after we called them and installed a new unit that is now working perfectly (approx. $550 for the garbage disposal unit and installation).

They were extremely professional; came exactly when they were supposed to and finished quickly. They made suggestions for the future and cost what they quoted.

Great! Sam (the gentleman that did the work) was very easy to work with. He explained everything he was doing and why. Also called back to the office to get answers to a couple questions regarding possible future work. What impressed me the most, was that the company was open and recommended other companies that were better equipped to handle some of the work than they are. Nice touch: In the next week after the work was completed, they sent ME a "Thank you", card!

Ken Hinchey and his employees were excellent and I would highly recommend them. His estimate was accurate. He coordinated the chimney and aspestos removal and his work with no time in between. He showed up the morning he said he would and finished the day he said he said he would be finshed. The basement was left cleaner than it was before he arrived.

He was very professional and explained everything in detail including the entire water system for the house and how the boiler worked.
