Floros Plumbing and Heating

Petros did a great job and cleaned up well when the job was done.

I contacted Mr. Floros when I discovered a shut off valve in my basement with a minor leak. He returned my call promptly but was on another job site. I thought he would come the next day but he called me back later that evening and offered to come by if it wasnt too late for me. It was between 6:30 and 7:00pm and I was happy to have it fixed that night. Mr. Floros took a few minutes to trace the pipes in that area and discovered there were two new shut off valves on the same line and a new expansion tank. Whomever installed the new items didnt bother to remove the old. Mr. Floros pointed the items out to me saving me the cost of a new valve and tank. He removed the items that needed to be removed and replaced the old piping. I had several questions about my plumbing because I had only owned the house a year. Mr. Floros answered all my questions, didnt try to sell me anything and set my mind at ease about things I was unsure about. The quality of his work was great, he didnt leave a mess and it was obvious he knowlegable and enjoyed his work. Even more of a surprise to me was that he charged me normal rates which were very reasonable even though it was past normal buisness hours. It was an overall great experience and I plan to use him for any future work I might need.

Petros is very knowledgeable, flexible and efficient. I now have my go-to plumber for the future.

I am in the process of having a total exterior renovation done on my house when my contractor discovered a capped copper outside water line coming 1' out of the house. I needed to have the pipe cut back into the wall in order for the new siding to be installed. I called Petros and he accepted the job and said he would be out to the house. Petros is very busy but he came to the house at 7pm and did the job. He was very quick with the work and then asked if there was anything else that he could take a look at since he was already there. I showed him the pipes for the furnace that looked like they were corroding. He said at some point I should have that addressed and that the pipe sections should be replaced. It was too late in the evening to drain the heating system and he suggested that next time I have the furnace cleaned, to have my service provider install purge valves on each return valve in the system. Petros said that would make it easy to do repairs on each zone in the future. I am planning on having that done within the next couple of months when I have my oil furnace cleaned and inspected. I would hire Petros again, he was nice, friendly, and very competent.

Petros showed up when he said he would and quickly started taking the old tank out. It took him about 2 hours to get everything installed and back up and running. He asked if there was anything else he could do and we did have a bathroom sink that would get habitually cloggged and he ran a snake to un-clog it. Petros was exceptionally personable and professional. He effectively communicated what needed to be done, laid out all the options and the possble issues and associated added costs that he might encounter once he got into the project, but let us make the decision on which way to go without any pressure. I would most diffenently call him again to deal with any future plumbing issues or projects. Highly, highly recommend. The

Received initial email via Angie's list. Spoke with Mr. Floros and he requested emailed photos of work. Sent those the next day and heard nothing else. A friend was able to complete the work for me. He was very pleasant but I think the job was too small.

I called him tonight and he called back immediately. He told me that if i wanted, he could come by tonight, even though it was around 8 pm when we spoke. He came by promptly, put in the new disposal which he brought with him, tested it and charged me about $250 for the entire project including the disposal. He was curtious and the price was very reasonable. I plan to use him again if I need a plumber.

He replaced 2 hot water heaters in under 3 hours. Was able to do the job the same day I called. Seems to have done a good job. I would use this plumber again in the future.

I'm not sure why Floros is still advertising on Angie's List when he said his truck was broken and he could not take on new work.

Petros knew that I wanted an AO Smith heater, and ordered a highly-rated 50-gallon ECT-52. The heater arrived within a day. Petros did an excellent job. He is a consummate professional and a really nice man, very personable and courteous. I highly recommend him.

Big Deal above was purchased from a vendor that does not serve my area though it was included in a search for my area. He was very nice and wants to make good on it but after several attempts the scheduling does not seem to work. No complaints about the vendor at all, just want to use a provider that covers my area. He's tried very hard to try to find a time even on a Sunday to come up and make good on it.

Petros arrived promptly and explained what he was doing, including showing me a corroded pipe he had to replace. He successfully addressed all of my plumbing concerns

When I called Mr Flores little did I know that I wouldhave a quick response. Mr Flores had a very busy day and said he would squeeze me in. He was finishing up in Newton and was heading to my house. He arrived after 6:00. He checked out my circulator pump and found it to be defective. Mr Flores left to get the part and returned to install it. After installing ithe found that there were two pipes frozen and leaking water and needed to be repaired. Mr Flores also fixed the frozen pipes and the system was back in operation. Mr Flores was a joy to work with and I would highly recommend him for any plumbing and heating service. I.m selling my home and moving north. Unfortunately, Mr Flores territory doesn't extend to my new home. I will deeply miss him.

Our electric water heater broke and was continuously heating the water so it was coming out scalding hot. We have a 2 1/2 year old and we were concerned he would burn himself if we didn't get it fixed quickly. We learned that the tank was over 14 years old and probably needed to be replaced anyway. I called 6-7 plumbers for estimates. Most were not very polite, slow to respond and couldn't schedule anything within a week. Finally I called Petros and he was the first plumber to express sympathy for my situation. His estimate was on the lower to middle end of everyone I called and he came within 12 hours (on Saturday morning) and completed the job quickly and cleanly. After living in this area for about a year, I think I've found my "regular" plumber.

A great experience. Petros changed our lives. Kind of sorry the rating system doesn't allow for an A-Plus, because I would have gone for that. We live in an old Victorian, and re-did the kitchen and all of the baths ten years ago. Our water pressure on the second floor and in the kitchen was barely beyond a dribble. My wife was only showering in the guest bathroom, because the pressure in ours was so anemic. We had a plumber who had done some great earlier work for us, who had looked at the problem, played around with it a bit, and then told us we needed to put in a power booster or re-circulator. We'd had a call in to that other plumber for a long while, and just decided we couldn't wait any more. So, I went on Angie's List, saw the amazing reviews, and then called Petros at about 4PM. He said, I can't really talk right now, since I'm on the clock for someone else, but you can send me a text at the following number . . ." (This seemed like a good first sign.) I texted him, and he said he'd come by for an hour sometime soon to look at the situation and try some things. An hour and a half later, Petros called, and said, "I finished my other job a little early, would you be interested in my coming over right now?" And, soon after, he arrived. He immediately looked at our equipment and said things like "that's a Grohe XYZ, it has a hidden filter screen in the guts of it that might be the problem". Again, we'd had several calls on this issue with other plumbers, who could only suggest a pressure booster. Over the next two hours, Petros fixed pressure problems that we'd had for five years. He did great work that was efficient and effective. He is definitely our new plumber. And, when we use the shower, or go to the kitchen sink, we smile, and kick ourselves for having lived with the problem for so long. We couldn't be happier with the service, and are happy for Angie's List for putting us in contact with him.

He called like he said he would when he finished the job prior to mine. Snaked the drain and repaired a crack in one of the PVC pipes.

We recently had a problem with one of the toilets in our house. It was a small, but fairly urgent job. The plumber came and made all the necessary repairs. Some questions came up during/after the repair. He reached out to quickly address our concerns. His exceptional post-call service showed that he's a true professional.

Sunday evening install of gas hot water heater. He arrived shortly after phone call and proceeded to install hot water heater. My old, failed hot water heater was removed and install site was left clean. Now I have hot water for the workweek!

I called because a toilet I had installed myself was leaking and I assumed I had damaged the donut seal during installation. I figured I'd hire someone to do it right the second time. Plumber came within a few hours and immediately diagnosed the problem as loose tank bolts. He fixed it quickly and I'm happy as a clam.

He came out right away and was on time with what we had scheduled. The job went very well and I was happy with the work done.

He did it all right - great response, was timely arriving, performed the service quickly, and pricing matched expectations. Would not hesitate to use again in the future.

Petros was on time and came over early on a Saturday morning. He cleaned the 30 yr old unit and was able to rent a machine to calibrate the CO levels to within a range that was needed to pass an energy assessment (TBD). My only gripe was that it was a little expensive, but on the flip-side it saved us a trip to have him out again when the energy assessment people come back to test the unit and hopefully pass it. Would definitely have Petros back if it was at the weekday rate and I was able to use the angieslist coupon offer which was not applicable on weekends.

We noticed some water under our water heater on a Sunday afternoon. Being that the water heater was already out of warranty and past it's normal useful life span, we knew we needed to act quickly. Not sure if we had minutes or days to get it replaced, we quickly scanned Angie's List for a local plumber. Floros had great reviews and previous customers raved about his resonsiveness so we decided to give him a call...on a Sunday afternoon. He answered directly after 2 rings and said he would swing right by (he was in between 2 other WH jobs but found time to pop in and assess the situation.) He offered to do the job same day but after inspecting the unit, we collectively decided that we could hold off until the following morning. We set a time of 8am and he arrived at 8 on the dot. Job was done well and promptly and put out minds at ease knowing that we had a new water heater installed and running within a couple hours. After the job was done, Floros offered to help out with any other odd jobs we might have had and though there wasn't any that particular day, he'll certainly be the first plumber we call going forward!

I was in a pinch and needed a plumber to come in on short notice and remove a pipe so that a basement company could install a french drain in our basement. Petros responded to my call quickly and professionally. The morning he was supposed to come to the property, the battery died on his truck. Somehow he still managed to get out get to our house that day. He was able to come up with a way for the basement company to relocate the pipe temporarily without any plumbing work required. He devised a solution that saved us time and money (avoiding our need for his services altogether) and he didn't even charge us for the visit. He clearly has a lot of integrity and I will definitely call him in the future.

This gentlemen is a true professional. Explains everything prior to doing the work. He is prompt and efficient. I would recommend this provider to a friend.
