Capuano Construction

I highly recommend Capuano Construction for their masonry work. The men who did the work were polite and efficient, and did a great job of managing around all the rain we've had this fall. The work itself is top quality. And, wonder of wonders, my invoice was several thousand dollars less than the original quote!

Exceeded our expectations. The wall is in the front of the house and probably paid for itself with improved curb appeal. The wall is beautiful and complements an existing wall in the front. It's a fieldstone wall and the selection of stones and the way they are put together to make the wall is amazing. The workers and the sub contractors were neat and clean. They did not make any excess noise and were very considerate of us and the neighbors. The masons worked in 100 degree heat and got the job done. Our neighbors complement us on the beautiful wall and the considerate and neat folks that built it. Thanks to Capuano for a great job.

Larry contacted us within 2-3 days of my initial email to set up an appointment to look at the foundation. He was responsive and showed up on time. I found him professional, he explained what we were looking at in clear language, and the quote they gave us was reasonable. We've opted to go with the other company that gave us a quote, but only because a) that company had already done work for friends, and b) they responded first. Which is honestly splitting hairs, but it was either that or flip a coin. I would certainly consider working with them another time.

Many problems after the first masonry contractor incorrectly did the job, such as by not building the chimney to the correct height. No problems since Larry did the job, despite strong winds, downpours, etc. Also, unlike the other contractor's workers, Larry didn't leave sand all over the driveway and debris on the lawn. Further, Larry backs his work, whereas, at least in this instance, the first masonry contractor didn't back his work and/or didn't know how to correctly do the job.

Larry and and his team did a great job raising the height of our chimney 14' that was necessary due to renovations. They did the entire job in the middle of winter in about a week. That included staging and scaffolding as well as heating the bricks/mortar to make sure they dried correctly and acid washing the new bricks to match the old. The job looks great. incidentally, $2,300 of the job was for the winter conditions alone (heat and wrap). I would definitely use them again.

His work is superb and was completed in plenty of time ahead of the other contractor's scheduled work. We look forward to hiring Larry again, whenever we have future masonry or concrete projects.

They were very good. My experience with them was terrific. They were very responsive. They came when they said they will be here. They were right on budget. I changed my order that was very fair. The people were always polite and cleaned up after themselves.

Part of wall fell and original motar washed away. I called, he came and repaired the wall and cleaned the sidewalk

It was an excellent job. I would suggest this provder because they were quick, down-to-earth, and honest.

It went fine. The owner, Larry Capuano, and 2 workers came when scheduled. The 2 workers finished the job the same day and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. They even did a minor repair on my basement door.

He was extremely fast and completed the job in 2 days which I thought would take at least four days. He had suggestions on what to do, especially for the paved area, which we had not thought of and which worked beautifully. Without even our asking him to do it, he repointed the brick under the porch because it needed it. He just went ahead and did it and included in the price.

Efficient. Quality work. There is no water coming into my basement. Job was cleanly done even with the required extensive digging and breaking up the old concrete walkway.

Provider came out to view work. He said he would email me his estimate. I never received the estimate. 09/30/13 The contractor called me as soon as they saw my initial review. The contractor sent the estimate to an incorrect email address, off by 1 letter. Neither of us pursued the sending or receipt of the estimate. I found him pleasant to deal with. He described what was needed for the job. I reviewed the estimate I received 09/30. It is very much in line with the company that did the work for me.

Work was delayed several times due rain, but that was no fault of the contractor. Once it was started, it was done in two days. The chimney looks great and we are happy we hired Capuano.

Larry was very responsive. We got 5 bids. His bid was neither the highest nor the lowest, but I felt comfortable with him. He was the only bidder who told me that, until he tore down the old stairs, he didn't know whether we needed new footings. Every other bidder priced the job as if we needed new footings. It turns out we did not need new footings. His crew worked really hard - were there every day until the job was completed. They built a new set of stairs using stones with bluestone treads along with a paver walkway. It looks beautiful and would definitely have them back for additional work.

Mr. Capuano set up an appointment to view the cracks in the foundation. He determined that just the approximately 5 foot by 5 foot area that was damaged needed repair. He and his crew arrived on time, chiseled out the old mortar, filled in with new material and cleaned up nicely. Larry was also kind enough to tell my husband that moving the direction of the downspout away from the front of the house would keep the water from coming in again.

An estimate of the work was given promptly and the invoice was the same as the estimate. The work took 4 days, dividing the time between the walkway work and the field stone work. The crews worked well and listened carefully. We are very pleased with the result.

Called Capuano to give me an estimate on repairing or rebuilding my front chimney because I was told by another contractor that it had some lose bricks. Larry Capuano came out to give the estimate. He asked some questions, thoroughly explained the work to be done, and gave me a verbal estimate while he was there. The written estimate was to be emailed to me. He also took a look at the back chimney and said that it was not up to code. I received the written estimate for rebuilding both chimneys which included the cost for labor and materials for the chimneys and roof work, and staging. I went with Capuano Construction because the estimate was competitive and I thought his Angie's List reviews were the best. We agreed that Capuano would do the work and it would take 3-4 days. Larry said that he was fully booked for 2-3 weeks, but would call me in two weeks and schedule the start date. Two weeks later he called and they were there the beginning of the next week to start the work. All the workers were professional, gave a full days work, and cleaned up everyday before they left for the day. That was especially important since the ladders and the debris were in my neighbor's driveway. They completed the work as scheduled. Chimneys look good. I had the chimney flues checked after and was told that they were clean. I'm very happy with the work done by Capuano Construction.

Our experience went well. We were pleased with them. They were responsive. There were some dust left on the brick face on the front of the building; they came back and washed it off and took care of it right away. Their price was in the middle. They were not the highest. The quality of their work was good. They were pretty punctual; they came out when they said they were coming.

Larry called the day after I left a message and came the next day to give an estimate. He promised the job would be completed in three or four weeks and he held true to that. Larry was very professional and his crew was professional, hard working and did an excellent job. Everything was done to our satisfaction and they left the area completely clean.

l I am truly thrilled with the results and believe it was money very well spent.Supervisory staff, including Larry Capuano, came by regularly to check on progress and to assure I was happy. Changed to the scope of the work were easily accomplished and I thank all of the staff I dealt with.

Larry's wife responded quickly to the request and he came quckly to give the estimate. He started the work in about three weeks. Even though it was raining a lot of the time his workers continued and did an excellent job.

The tore out my concrete steps and replaced them with granite steps. I was very satisfied with the work they did. The did a clean job, no fuss, and did everything right. There were no extra fees for anything, which was also nice.

They came in the lower range for the bid and ended up with the best quality. The team came on time every day and worked through the rain the finish the job. The result was an amazing set of steps that were beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Capuano Construction - great price for fantastic quality!

They new what they were doing, worked hard, did not waste time, cleaned up before they left each day. True professionals who knew how to get this type of job done well.
