Response from Bravo Kitchens Inc
We strongly believe this review is completely unjustified coming from someone who is in the cabinetry business. He made it known to us that he is a designer at his family's Flooring & Kitchen Design Center in Littleton,MA and is capable of buying the cabinets direct from the source, yet he insisted on contacting us and purchasing products through us here at Bravo Kitchens, as if he were doing us a favor. Mr. {Member's name removed} provided us with a list of material needed from our semi-custom line as an add-on to his existing kitchen purchased from an unknown source. This customer raised a complaint about a delay of the product's delivery. As a result, we compensated him $250.00 as a good gesture for the inconvenience. Two months later he wanted to return unused items for money back. It was made clear from the beginning that there are no returns on custom products. Given his background one would think he would be familiar with these procedures. Also, we find it ironic that he would give us a poor review on Angie's List after we did our absolute best to satisfy him and it makes us wonder what his motive is? We always strive to do our best to give customers the best products and service, yet sometimes our best is not good enough for some people, and Mr. {Member's name removed} is one of those people.

Description of Work: Nick was the only one of 3 designers I called, who came out to see if something could be done with the cabinets I had and the new appliances I wanted to get. After much discussion we decided that I would not be happy with what I had and he drew plans for a complete re do. The plans were very much to my liking and after a few tweeks I accepted the plans. All the contractors he worked with were very good and he was very involved in the process. Elissa, who works with him, was great in helping me to pick out the granite counter tops and the tile for the back splash (since I am new to the area and don't know my way around Elisse took me to the suppliers). Nick recommended a sales person at Yale Appliance and that person was very helpful in picking out the appliances I had decided on. I enjoyed working with Nick and Elisse and am extremely happy with my new kitchen. Every one who has seen it has fallen in love with it.

Overall it was a great experience. Nick came to the house, listened to what we wanted and came up with a perfect design. He worked with us to pick out the cabinets and counter top. We had never done anything like this and his knowledge helped us make the right choices. We are very happy with the design and the way it came out.

We decided to redo our kitchen when we moved into our new home in August 2011. The kitchen was severely outdated and dysfunctional. We attempted working with a bunch of different contractors to design the kitchen but were very unhappy with their professionalism and lack of knowledge. At this point we decided to look a few different kitchen design places and hoped they hoped they could recommend a contractor. In walks Nick, Sarah and Mike Goodwin the contractor. We stumbled upon Bravo Kitchens while exploring our new town of Melrose and was immediately impressed. Nick came to our home and took a bunch of different measurements. We met him later that week to look at a few different designs. (Nick even stayed very late at work to meet us since we have hectic work schedules). He had some fabulous designs for us and worked with us to find the perfect fit. We chose to work with their contractor, Mike Goodwin, and highly recommend him (we are using him again for a construction project this summer). Nick and Sarah at Bravo were so responsive and so knowledgeable. They were great at updating us throughout the process and always stopped in to see how the project was going. The cabinetry is gorgeous and very high quality. Our kitchen is absolutely beautiful and sets the tone of our entire home. The Bravo showroom is also a great resource for homeowners renovating their kitchen--they have great examples and samples of everything! We are excited to work with Nick and Sarah in the future when we decide to renovate our bathroom--we had such a positive experience with them and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

While we did not purchase our cabinets through Bravo (because we went with a different contractor, not one that works with Bravo) we worked with them discussing our kitchen and talked with them about our options. Nick met with us twice and also measured our kitchen, and he was very informative, knowledgeable, and had great ideas. Also the prices were more reasonable than I expected them to be coming from such a nice place with great displays - I had assumed a bigger markup and was pleasantly surprised. We would have loved to have worked with Bravo on our kitchen because Nick is so professional and great to work with. It was more an issue of which contractor we selected to do our kitchen, and him having a different system for ordering cabinets and design of the kitchen. I would - and have - recommended Bravo to friends.

So far so good. The service has been great. It's a family owned business and the man who owns the business has been very accommodating. We have not received the cabinets but it has all been ordered. As long as everything comes in on time, it will be fine. We are very happy with them so far. The estimate was free. He helped us with our price range, the original cabinets were more expensive. He was willing to show us other options and showed us how to save money. He was not pushy, he was actually trying to save us money so it was nice.

We were referred to Nick Bassila at Bravo Kitchen by the general contractor that we used for our kitchen remodel. Nick came to the house to take measurements, made a layout consistent with our initial ideas and later suggested an alternate layout which evolved into the final design. There were quite a few iterations before we decided on the final design and cabinet style. We probably visited the shop more than a dozen times to work through the details with Nick and Sarah. Sarah helped us select granite for the countertops, which we ordered though Bravo. They visited the work site several times after the cabinets were delivered and during cabinet and countertop installation to make sure everything went smoothly. We were very pleased with the experience and with the final product.
Description of Work: Bravo Kitchen did a kitchen cabinet design and layout for a complete kitchen remodel. They ordered the cabinets and granite countertops for the project. They also visited the work site on several occasions to make sure the cabinet and countertop installation went smoothly.

Nick Bassila and his staff at Bravo Kitchen have been a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. I arrived at Bravo with a partial kitchen design and a pretty good idea of the cabinets I wanted but very disappointed with the previous kitchen place where I had started the process, but that is another story. Nick took the partial design and refined it in ways that I only fully appreciated after I began to use my kitchen. He has an extremely good sense of aesthetics and function where I tend to be more skilled at the former than the latter. For example, now that I am in my kitchen, I totally appreciate that I can empty my dishwasher into the pull out drawer with dividers without taking a single step or even straightening up. Everything is just where I want it and I give Bravo credit. Nick is a stickler for detail and measured and remeasured and got it right. His installer is the best. On such a large project as this turned out to be, keeping my costs down on each part was critical. The price at Bravo Kitchen was significantly less than my other quotes for the same product. I used Adelphi Cabinets which are amazing. I tend to be a little cutting edge in some of my choices of product and chose a Calacatta marble for the counter surfaces and a Canadian glass manufacturer for my bar height counter. Nick facilitated the purchase of both and even worked out the radius for a eat in kitchen table by cutting out a piece of cardboard he found in his back room even though I was buying it from a company that was not one of his vendors. He insisted on extending a panel for the front of my window seat which tied the whole thing together. Bravo Kitchens are professional, skilled and offer quality for a more affordable price than some of their competitors.
Description of Work: Refined kitchen design; ordered and installed cabinets; facilitated the purchase and installation of marble and glass counter tops; facilitated the purchase of faucets, sinks and hot/cold water dispenser

Pretty good. Nick showed us the cabinet lines he carried with the various styles and colors. We decided what we wanted and Nick came to our condo to do detailed measurements. He was a stickler for balance so he really argued against some of the cabinets we wanted in the places we wanted. He always had a firm reason for doing it his way but we wish we had perservered in some of our wants. It turned out the color we wanted only came in painted surfaces and we wanted wood grain to show through. Nick told us we could get the cabinets unpainted and stain them on our own which we did. The counter was more of a problem. We saw a granite sample in Nick's store which we really liked. He had an island in the same stone. He gave us the name of a supplier. It turns out we personally had to go to 7 or 8 suppliers before we found the granite in the correct color. We did most of this on our own. We found the slab, ordered it, followed it to the fabricator and expedited its installation. Our biggest problem was the counter installation. The installer showed up at 5pm and worked past 9pm much to the consternation of our neighbors. Drilling faucet holes at 9pm was very noisy. In the end we love our new kitchen but still wish we had been more firm in cabinet selection
