Everything went very smoothly. Jane was a delight to work with, she made my vision come to fruition and was extremely flexible with all of the changes we made. The cabinets were ready well before our contractor even needed them. We are very happy with the quality of the product as well

Village Cabinets did an amazing job. We worked very closely with Jane, who spent so much time reviewing our choices and providing the best options. She met with us in person at her shop for over 2 hours to go through every detail. She was great at offering suggestions and finding a solution that fit within our budget. We ran into a few issues with the counter top vendor (not Village Cabinets) and Jeane went above and beyond to help get it resolved. I would easily recommend them to anyone looking to redo their kitchen. The cabinets were good quality and Jane was wonderful to work with. The general contractor recommended by Village Cabinets was also wonderful. Overall it was a great experience!

Jane was incredibly thoughtful and responsive to all of our constraints (a very small kitchen and bathroom footprint) and ideas (we had many for her to include in the design!). In addition to designing what we asked for she also spent time on some more creative designs for us to consider. While we didn't end up going in some of her creative idea directions, I really appreciated her exploring the possibilities for our small home, even if only so we could feel confident in our original choices. She worked very closely with our contractor and other subs to ensure everything was implemented as planned and was tenacious in dealing with the few sub issues we had along the way. What I loved about Jane is she looked over all of my Pinterest ideas and considered our budget, finding the right cabinet solution for what we wanted to spend. The results are exactly what we wanted. Jane was great to work with!

My husband and I visited Village Cabinet and Design, and for a smaller office in the Medway Mills, we found ourselves surrounded by a myriad of options. Different styles and colors were presented and we took home some catalogs. Once we decided to move forward with the project and chose a style, we called back. Jane Scammon, a designer for the company, stopped by our house the next day, listened to what we wanted and gave us options. She took measurements and came up with a beautiful 3-D design plan with logical locations for trash bins, dishwasher, etc. making the kitchen a place where everything we need is at our fingertips. We made adjustments based on our preferences and she gladly customized the design to fit our needs. Our kitchen went from oak colored particle board cabinets and a peninsula counter to bright white maple hardwood cabinets with a new island layout. The cabinets are soft-close with plenty of storage options, and surrounded by beautiful crown moulding. We couldn't be happier; it's like a brand new house!

We had a difficult space and some very strong opinions on what we wanted. We were originally going to design the kitchen ourselves but decided to reach out to Village for a quote. Jane Scammon went very far out of her way to design a kitchen that perfectly suited our needs. Jane payed close attention to the details that we felt were important for to make the space perfect for us, while very gently steering us away from several major mistakes that we would have made on our own. She was always there when we had questions and made a fairly complex kitchen design go off without a hitch. She was very flexible and even helped us integrate our floor, counter and lighting options with the cabinet design. We weren’t quite ready to install when the cabinets arrived, so Village had kept them in climate controlled storage for several days. They also helped us get our hands on specialty install tools and offered a slew of installation tips that made the cabinet install go very smoothly. The price was competitive for semi-custom cabinets. The cabinets themselves are well made, sturdy, and seem like they will last. The hinges and drawer slides are far superior to any others we’ve seen; removing and adjusting the drawers and cabinet doors is a breeze. Everything that was delivered – cabinets, crown molding, end panels, toe kicks – all showed up in perfect condition, square and well-painted. The only exception was one door that was slightly warped (reasonable for a door that size), and Jane took care of that for us immediately. We’re thrilled with our new kitchen. The new design lends itself to a much more efficient and natural user flow and significantly better use of space. Jane was able to design the cabinets and trim in a way that is far more beautiful than we had imagined.

Jane was wonderful. We started on the phone with a general idea of what I had in mind... I was not very helpful ... my level of creativity is lacking for sure. But not Jane who then came to my home where she measured and we discussed how things might fit best in my new kitchen, from the appliances to the cabinets to the trash and recycle bins. She was full of great ideas and very flexible with my needs. I am now moved back into my kitchen and loving everything! My cabinets are so pretty and everything looks and feels so nice now. Thank you!

Overall, the process went smoothly, from design to receipt of cabinets. Cabinets were prepainted and custom. Jane was most receptive to design changes made by the owner who acted as the contractor, and selected electrician, plumber, tile installer. Installation done in nine days by installer selected by owner. The new kitchen is remarkably efficient and a pleasure to be in.

It went well. We had a few speed bumps along the way. 2 side panels had to be redone because they were made wrong and the trim was misplaced. Overall, after it was all done, we were very satisfied with the outcome. It came out better than we had envisioned.

I remodeled my kitchen, and discussed the project with several companies, ranging from the big box home improvement stores to completely custom cabinet businesses. After talking to John Schroeder at Village Cabinet Design in Medway, MA. and listening to his ideas, the choice was simple. John was such a pleasure to work with, and the quality and value of his custom cabinets is exceptional, but without the higher cost I was quoted from other custom cabinet businesses. It took me several months to make all the decisions and start the project, but John was with me 100% of the way. He was always on time, prepared for appointments, and there were no surprises with him. My kitchen presented some design challenges, and John's ideas turned out beautiful. Throughout the process, he made suggestions to make the kitchen space more efficient and save me money! He also provided referrals and contact information for contractors, appliance and countertop companies. I'm very pleased with my decision to work with Village Cabinet Design, and if I ever decide to take on another project like this, I would call John in a heartbeat.

Excellent. Very smooth. The rep and I worked well together with similar ideas. She was extremely responsive when we had questions. The packaging came in well organized and the carpenter thought it was great quality and fairly easy to assemble.

It went beautifully! Everyone at Village Cabinet was very responsive and extremely helpful throughout the entire process from perfecting the design, to providing the installer and finding the counter top companies. In fact, Jane Scammon went above an beyond to keep fires lit to ensure a timely installation. In general responses to inquiries were quick, the pricing was more than reasonable and the final work came out beautiful. I would recommend Village Cabinet to everyone.

Jane's design, planning and project management were exceptional. She paid careful attention to every detail that we were looking for and added some great suggestions to the project. We are so grateful for John's clever kitchen design and stunning cabinetry. From the first time we met with John we knew he was going to be the person we wanted to work with for our kitchen remodel. He has an amazing knack for smart design suited especially for the family living in that particular home. He does not try to "sell" anything and would never let his customer order before he was sure that they had sorted through all of the necessary details. I was especially excited to have the new kitchen completed and was probably a bit hasty to place our cabinet order. More than once he cautioned me to slow down and enjoy the process and not to rush anything. He is not about making a sale. He truly cares that the kitchen design be well thought out and that the cabinet selections are just right for your needs. He never got frustrated with my endless questions. He always got back to us very promptly and was extremely polite and professional. He is a true pleasure to work with. I was extremely pleased with the design process. It's also important to mention that before we found John we had a "custom" cabinetry company come look at the space. I showed that company our kitchen and the adjacent office in case they wanted to utilize that space. They did not think it was necessary. The first time John came to our house he looked at the kitchen and the office space and immediately suggested a brilliant design that would turn the office into a walk in pantry from the kitchen. He also saw that we had purchased some entry lockers and he came up with a design so that they could be sunken into the wall in the hallway next to the garage. Keep in mind he came up with all of this while I was rambling and our three year old son was bouncing off the walls. He truly has a gift. When the cabinets arrived I was ecstatic. I could not believe how beautiful they were. I looked at John's design drawings countless times and loved the samples we received but nothing compares to seeing it when it's actually in the home. We have had the kitchen in place for a few weeks now and every single time I walk into the room I am taken aback at how gorgeous it is. Because of John's work, the house we bought last year is finally starting to feel like home. We will enjoy this kitchen / pantry / locker nook for years to come. We are so grateful to have found John. Not only is John a delight to work with, but his prices are extremely reasonable. Every single person that has seen our new kitchen is amazed with the transformation and they all also thought it would cost double what we actually spent.

We could not be happier with the finished product. When then cabinets were delivered everything fit and assembly went off without a hitch. I would recommend working with Village Cabinets to anyone. People who come into our house cannot believe how open and bright our new kitchen is.

John was excellent to work with. He's a great guy who cares about his products and customers. Very easy to work with and helpful. He was very thorough and attentive to the job and he has a great attitude. He even bit the cost to reorder some items after install because of some scratches, etc. that occurred from a combo of shipping and our contractor (i.e. it wasn't on him to do anything, but he wanted us to be satisfied and so he worked with us to find solutions that ended up being his time and money). He does operate alone so he's not always available to pick up the phone. But he does get back to you within the day. We only ran into one problem where we needed his input and he was unavailable. After that he gave us his cell number so we could contact him directly.

The Kitchen project went smoothly with John's expertise and easy going personality. We highly recommend Village Cabinet Design to our friends.
