Description of Work: They skim-coated the wall because the surface was uneven from removal of wallpaper (walls were not primed prior to wallpaper), primed and painted 2 coats. Also primed and painted the cathedral ceiling. Bogomil gave me the estimate and the painters arrived early every day and were so neat! When the job was done you would never have know they were there-it was pristine! Meticulous work all around!

Description of Work: Repaired and repainted two calcimine ceilings. Calcimine is a tricky surface to deal with and Optimus did a great job at a very fair price.

Description of Work: He returned my phone call, showed up on time for appointment, was ready to start the next day, but price was too much for what I wanted done.

Description of Work: I was looking for a painter to paint the bathroom and my daughter's bedroom. I called 7 or 8 different contractors and then about 5 of them visited us. We chose to work with Bogomil and his assistant (Taso), and never regretted it. They showed up on time, were extremely flexible , helped us choose and then change colors, worked fast, cleaned the area completely and were always very friendly. We ended up also re-plastering and painting our backstairs which in an old brownstone were in poor condition. Taso did everything , including putting a new drywall, making sure the surfaces were stripped and cleaned and then waterproof, and then applying all the coats of paint. Everything now looks like new and my husband and I are very happy with their work. Optimus will do a good job for you - trust me!

Description of Work: We needed our white picket fence power washed and repainted, as well as some door frame painting and other odds and ends painted - interior and exterior. A small job. We called a few painters before we found Bogi. Bogi was the only professional and enthusiastic response we received. His quote was reasonable. He was attentive to our job even though it was a small one. He squeezed our job into his busy summer work. His staff was professional, timely, and worked really hard and stayed late to get the job done. The quality of their work was extremely high. Our fence has never looked so great. We were thrilled with the work done, the timing and the workers, as well as Bogi. Hire these guys!

Description of Work: Repaired cracks in plaster, priming, sanding, painting walls, trim, ceilings in living room and hallway.

Description of Work: I have relied on Optimus painting for the past two years to do all of my interior and exterior painting. He has completed work both at my own home and for all of my rental properties. Bogomil did exceptional work restoring the exterior shingles of our barn built in 1792. He carefully scraped and painted the shingles to restore the barn. We also had new cedar shingles in some areas which he worked to match carefully to the original shingles. For my rental properties he has done extensive interior painting and I always call him when I need an apartment painted. Most recently he painted the foyer and stairway of my house. There was original woodwork which had been splattered with paint from a previous painter years ago who did a sloppy job, Bogomil took the time to do the fine detail work of scraping the old paint off the wood and touching up the wood so you could never tell there had been paint on it. This made such an incredible difference for the entire paint job.

Description of Work: I had water damage in my bedroom and mold was there. Once all that was cleaned up I had the painting company come in. They applied two coats to the ceiling. They skim coated the plaster that was damaged. It was damaged around the windows. He fixed all the cracks, and the holes that were in the walls and trim. They sanded and applied one coat and one finish coat.

Description of Work: Most recently--interior painting and stripping old paint off and restoring a double soapstone sink. This house was built in 1907. Optimus Painting has done much work for us for about three years--excellent quality interior and exterior painting, sheetrock, ceiling and plaster wall repairs from water damage and wear, carpentry, restoration of antique glass cabinets, and restoration of brass hardware throughout the house.
