I needed an initial updated plot plan to begin the process of adding an addition to my home and they came out to do the survey within a week of my call. Even though my architectural design plans took many months longer than anticipated, Paul at Colonial was reassuring and gave me good advice relative to my town's permitting requirements and my design changes. Once the addition plans were finalized and sent on to Paul, I received my new plot plan within a week. I highly recommend Colonial Engineering.

I had written a check for $450.00 after the proposal was done. I wrote in the check portion of the check “survey of 9 Bowker and proposal of pool install.” He ended up cashing the check. When it came time to do the “as built,” the guy came to the door and told us it would be $300.00 dollars more. My husband said “no” and he had to check with his boss. the owner called and admitted it was their mistake, and offered to only charge $250. My husband again said no and he lowered it to $100, which my husband also declined. I called him on 8/23 and told him that he never returned my calls, and I expect a call or I was going to report him. He finally called me back, and we had a shouting match on the phone. I told him we felt he was extorting money from us and holding back our “as built” that we had to submit to the town. He replied with I am going to shred the as built, which infuriated me. He said he didn't want to deal with me anymore and would give me the $450 back. I asked him how I get a proposed plan when the pool is already there. He told me that it was my problem and to deal with it. Someone from the company was supposed to come out and return the $450 back to me. I had to double check with the town and make sure I could get a survey of the “as built.” Nobody came out to give us the money and we had to call him on 9/3. He showed up unannounced on 9/4 to return the money. He had the payment in check form and I wanted to verify that it would not bounce. He then offered to pay in cash since he had $500 on him, but I had to give him $50 back plus the proposed plans. He made this a nightmare experience from the beginning. I would not recommend the company.
Description of Work: I hired Paul D Simone to do a "proposed survey of an as build" of a pool on my land.
